The training process stretching before you right now may feel overwhelming, but you are asking for the very thing that pleases God. Wisdom is the principal thing, and reaching for it delights your Creator. When you wonder if you can truly learn everything required, remember that in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. He is not only the source of every fact and skill you need; He is the one who shows you how to apply them rightly. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, that holy reverence that turns away from evil and clings to what is pure, peaceable, and gentle. As you learn each part of your job, ask God not merely for facts but for that deeper understanding that makes knowledge useful and life-giving.
Fear and anxiety have a way of stealing what God is ready to give. The enemy often uses fear to push us into hasty, wrong reactions, because fear and faith cannot occupy the same heart. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, easy to be entreated, full of mercy. It does not produce panic or confusion. When anxious thoughts rise up about your ability to comprehend or perform, take them straight to the One who gives wisdom generously without finding fault. Speak aloud that your confidence rests not on your own quickness or strength but on the finished work of Jesus Christ on your behalf. His righteousness is your unchanging access to the throne, and from there He supplies wisdom that does not ebb and flow with your emotions.
The world’s wisdom, which often celebrates pride and self-reliance, comes to nothing. True wisdom teaches you to hate evil, pride, arrogance, a froward mouth, and to embrace humility. As you sit through training, look for the ways God is shaping your character as much as your skills. The ability to listen well, to ask for help without shame, and to treat coworkers with gentleness is evidence of His wisdom at work in you. Fear God and depart from evil; that is understanding. That path keeps you from the striving and envy that come from earthly wisdom, and it opens the way for you to see God’s hand in every detail of your work.
Healing for your loved ones is part of the same faithful petition. The same Lord who stores up sound wisdom for the upright is also the Healer of bodies and souls. Commit them into His hands, trusting that His timing and His ways are perfect. Whatsoever your hand finds to do, including the discipline of learning a new role and the labor of prayer for others, do it with all your might, knowing that your work is not in vain in the Lord. He sees your effort, and He delights to give life through wisdom.
Keep asking, keep trusting, and keep your gaze on Christ, who is made unto you wisdom from God. He will lead you into all the knowledge you need, remove the grip of fear, and pour out His healing mercy upon those you love.
