🙇🏻 Wisdom & Revelation to Know God, The Hope of His Calling, Riches of Glorious Inheritance and the Surpassing Greatness of His Power, Eph 1:15-23, "For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all those God has Made Holy, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you in my praying: 17 'That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a Spirit of Wisdom and of Revelation in the true knowledge of Himself. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so you will know the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in those who have been sanctified, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accord with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He exerted in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, in this age and in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way,'" Eph 1:15-23.

We lift our hearts in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, for your desire to seek deeper wisdom, revelation, and understanding of God’s calling, inheritance, and power is a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. The passage you’ve shared from Ephesians 1:15-23 is a profound prayer of the apostle Paul, and we join with you in asking the Father to open the eyes of your heart to grasp the fullness of these truths.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would indeed grant to this beloved child of Yours a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the true knowledge of Yourself. Lord, we pray that the eyes of their heart would be enlightened, so they may know the hope to which You have called them, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward those who believe.

This power, O Lord, is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion. We declare that this power is alive and active in the life of every believer, including this dear one who seeks You. May they walk in the fullness of Your strength, knowing that You have subjected all things under the feet of Jesus and given Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body.

We also recognize, Lord, that true wisdom and revelation come only through a personal and growing relationship with You. If this seeker has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw them near. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). If they have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we pray that today would be the day of salvation, that they would repent of their sins and place their faith in Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life.

For those who already know You, Lord, we ask that You would deepen their intimacy with You. May they not be content with surface-level knowledge but press in to know You more, to love You more, and to walk in the fullness of Your calling. Remind them that Your Word says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10). May they seek You with their whole heart, for You have promised, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

We also rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or unbelief that may be hindering this one from fully grasping the hope of Your calling. The enemy seeks to blind the minds of unbelievers and even to cloud the understanding of believers (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we declare that the God of peace will soon crush Satan under their feet (Romans 16:20). We stand on Your Word, which says, “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). We claim this promise for this seeker today.

Lord, we also pray that as they grow in the knowledge of You, they would walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which they have been called (Ephesians 4:1). May their life reflect the hope, the riches, and the power that You have placed within them. May they be a light in this dark world, pointing others to the surpassing greatness of Your love and grace.

Finally, we ask that You would fill them with the Holy Spirit, who is our Helper, Teacher, and Guide (John 14:26). May the Spirit reveal the deep things of God to them (1 Corinthians 2:10) and empower them to live a life that honors You in every way.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We appreciated reading your prayer for wisdom and revelation to truly know God and to grasp the hope, inheritance and power you have on your heart. That kind of hunger for Him is a beautiful thing and we are glad to stand with you in it.

We have found that knowing God grows less from trying to figure everything out at once and more from staying near Him as He makes Himself known. He is not distant or unknowable. He is personal and present, and He delights to give understanding to those who seek Him honestly. As you keep turning to Him, He gently opens the eyes of the heart to see more of who He is and who you are in Him.

One simple practice that may help is to make this prayer from Ephesians your own for the next week or so. In a quiet moment each morning, pray it back to God slowly in your own words, and then sit quietly for a minute to listen. If a thought, question or encouragement comes to mind, jot it down and share it with a trusted pastor or mature friend to pray through together. That steady, unhurried seeking often brings clarity we miss when we rush.

Father, we thank You for the faith You have already placed in our friend. We ask You to deepen their knowledge of You, strengthen their hope in Your calling, and make Your presence and power more real to them day by day. Draw them closer to Jesus and give peace as they seek You. In Jesus name, amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your healing power. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

How excellent is this prayer which the apostle taught us to pray, and how gladly do I join my supplication with yours that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant it abundantly unto you.

You have asked for the very thing which no man can give himself. Wisdom in the things of God must come to us by revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts. Christ Himself is the wisdom of God and the power of God, and His gospel is the highest of all sciences. Apart from Him there is no true knowledge of the Father, but in Him the eyes of the heart are enlightened.

I pray with you that you may be given a Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the true knowledge of Himself. Not a wisdom that puffs up, but that which humbles and sanctifies, that which shows us Christ as made of God unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. May you know Him not by hearsay only, but by the effectual calling of the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart as one calls a beloved child by name, with a call that is holy and high and heavenly, lifting the heart to the things of eternity and holiness.

And that you may know the hope of His calling. Until we are separate from all hope in ourselves, there is no hope that the gospel will be any power to us. But when we confess there is no hope in our own strength or merit, then we find a good hope through grace in Him who calls sinners to come unto Him. He who has all power in heaven and in earth says, Come unto Me, and He will give rest. This calling is a gracious and a humbling call, and it is sure, for He who calls leads His sheep out and they hear His voice and follow Him.

I pray also that you may know the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. It is an inheritance exceedingly broad, secured to us by a covenant of salt, and we begin to enter into it even now as we obtain the pardon of sin through faith in Christ. Survey its breadth, for we are not straitened in Him though we are so often petty in our possession of it. May the Lord show you more and more of what He has prepared for those who love Him.

And that you may know what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of the strength of His might which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, both in this age and in the one to come. The same power that raised Christ and set Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, is at work in every believing soul. It is this power that makes a new man of us and keeps us from being moved from the hope of our calling.

So I do not cease to give thanks for you, and to ask that the Lord would open the treasures of wisdom to you, establish you in these things, and prove in your own experience that Christ is indeed the power of God and the wisdom of God. May you cling and trust and love Him more, and find your all in Him.

May the Lord hear this prayer and answer it for His own glory. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for wisdom and revelation to know God more truly is itself pleasing to Him, and I give thanks for the faith you have shown in asking it. This is the very prayer the Apostle offered without ceasing for the Ephesians, making mention of them before God and thanking Him for their faith in the Lord Jesus and their love for all who have been made holy. As he did then, so we do now for you.

What you ask is not the wisdom of this world, which is counted as foolishness before God and which cannot of itself find Him. The rulers of this age are coming to nothing, and their wisdom fails. What you seek is the Spirit of wisdom and revelation given by the Father of glory, that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened. This knowledge does not come from human reasoning alone, but from the Holy Spirit who strengthens us to apprehend what our own minds cannot grasp. It is Christ Himself who is made unto us wisdom from God, and apart from Him there is no true knowledge of the Father. Therefore we must ask that He open the Scriptures to us and show us His power, lest we err by not knowing them as we ought.

And when those eyes are enlightened, you will know three great things which Paul sets before you. First, the hope of His calling, that calling which is not for this life only but presses on toward the prize of the high calling above, as Abraham obeyed and went out not knowing where he went, trusting the promise though he had not yet received the inheritance. Second, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in those who have been sanctified, for He has given us not only forgiveness of sins but baptism, deliverance, and an inheritance of a kingdom with numberless good things laid up for those who continue in what is right. Third, the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, the same mighty strength which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named both now and in the age to come. He has put all things under His feet and given Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body.

So I pray for you now as Paul prayed, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the true knowledge of Himself, that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened to know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance among His holy people, and the surpassing greatness of His power toward you who believe according to the working of His mighty strength in Christ. May He keep you in faith in Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have this access, and strengthen you by His Spirit to walk worthy of that calling until you attain it by His grace.
