Eph 1:15 "For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all," Eph 3:15-23.

We rejoice in your hunger for deeper wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, for this is a holy and precious desire. The passage you’ve shared from Ephesians is a powerful declaration of the riches we have in Christ, riches that are not of this world, but of the eternal, glorious inheritance we share as His saints. Let us pray together, lifting this request before the Father of glory, that He may indeed open the eyes of our hearts to see and know Him more fully.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. We thank You for the faith and love that You have already poured out in the lives of Your children. Lord, we ask that You would grant us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we may truly grasp the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints. We long to know the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion.

Father, we confess that sometimes our understanding is dim, and our hearts grow weary or distracted by the things of this world. But You are faithful, and Your Word declares that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives generously to all without reproach (James 1:5). So we ask, Lord, pour out Your wisdom upon us. Let us know You more intimately, not just in our minds, but in the depths of our spirits. Reveal to us the calling You have placed on our lives, that we may walk in it with confidence and purpose. Show us the riches of Your glory, that we may live as heirs of Your kingdom, reflecting Your love and power to a world in desperate need of You.

We also pray for strength, Lord, for Your Word tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). The enemy would love to see us grow faint or discouraged, but You have given us Your Spirit, who empowers us to stand firm. Strengthen us with might in our inner being, that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:16-17). Let us comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth of Your love, which surpasses knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of You (Ephesians 3:18-19).

Lord, we recognize that true wisdom and revelation come only through a relationship with You, made possible by the blood of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation, for the forgiveness of sins, and for the promise of eternal life. Help us to walk in the light of this truth, that we may not be deceived by the lies of the enemy or the empty philosophies of this world. Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for You who promised are faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

We also rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or unbelief that may be hindering our understanding of Your Word and Your will. The enemy seeks to blind the minds of unbelievers, but we are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). We stand on the truth that the god of this world has been defeated by the cross of Christ, and we have been given authority in His name to resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). So we declare that our minds are being renewed by Your Word, and we are being transformed into the image of Christ, from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Father, we ask that You would stir in us a deeper passion for Your presence. Let us not be satisfied with mere head knowledge, but let us hunger and thirst for righteousness, that we may be filled (Matthew 5:6). Draw us closer to You, that we may hear Your voice more clearly and follow Your leading more faithfully. Let us be a people who walk in the light, as You are in the light, having fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Your Son cleansing us from all sin (1 John 1:7).

We also pray for unity in the body of Christ, that we may be one as You and the Son are one (John 17:21). Let us bear with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3). May our love for one another be a testimony to the world of Your love for us.

Lord, we surrender our lives afresh to You today. Take our hands and lead us into the fullness of all that You have for us. We trust in Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your perfect timing. May we walk in the calling You have placed on our lives, fully assured that You who began a good work in us will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

What a beautiful and powerful prayer to carry in your heart. We join you in longing for those very things: a true knowing of God, the clarity of His calling, a deeper grasp of the riches we have in Christ, and the strength that comes from His power at work in us. This isn’t a prayer that can be answered in a single moment; it’s the kind of prayer that shapes a whole life. As you keep bringing this before the Father, you are already stepping into the very hope you’re asking for.

One thing we’ve found helpful in seasons of seeking wisdom and revelation is to pay attention to the quiet, consistent ways God often speaks. He rarely shouts over the noise of our daily lives. Instead, as we quiet our hearts and simply sit with Him, we begin to notice the gentle conviction of the Spirit, a quiet peace about a direction, or a growing clarity through the counsel of mature believers. Even the very desire you have to know Him more deeply is evidence that He is already drawing you near.

Since you’re praying through Ephesians, you might try letting these verses become a daily conversation with God this week, not just reciting them, but pausing after each phrase to ask, “Lord, what does this mean for me right now?” Then listen. Jot down anything that stirs in your heart. Sometimes the “spirit of wisdom” comes not as a lightning bolt but as a slow, steady dawning.

We pray with you now: Father of glory, thank You that You delight in giving wisdom generously. Open the eyes of this dear heart to truly know You more, to see the hope of Your calling and the staggering greatness of Your power toward us. Anchor this one in the strength that raised Christ from the dead. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Christ is the wisdom of God, and his gospel is the highest of all sciences. If thou wishest to find wisdom, thou must find it in the word of revelation. Get Christ first, put him in the right place, and you will find him to be the wisdom of God in your own experience. The knowledge of God is, at once, the beginning and the end of wisdom; without the knowledge of God, we abide in utter ignorance.

It is necessary to any real peace of mind. But the unsearchable riches of Christ are not the uncertainties of philosophical speculation, they are revealed by the wisdom of God. All the riches of the glory of God are treasured up in Christ Jesus, and he has all this wealth to bestow upon his redeemed family. Christ is the power of God; the power of a church is the presence of her Lord.

God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. In our Lord Jesus we see the glory of God in the wondrous blending of the attributes. He gives his people two heavens, a heaven below in serving him here, and a heaven above in delighting in him forever, and the unsearchable riches of Christ will be best known in eternity. Remember, the way of salvation is simple: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.

That man who believes in Christ, and can say, Salvation is finished. All is of Christ, and all is free! My faith is in Jesus Christ, and in him alone, that man is freed from fears.

You do well to desire these things, for nothing could be more needful for the soul than what the blessed Apostle prays for here. This is no common request you have placed before us; you seek nothing less than the very treasures the Apostle yearned to see poured out on the Ephesians. And mark this: when Paul himself, that vessel of election, prays for others to receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation, how much more must we, who are dust and ashes, flee to God for such a gift? You have set your heart upon the highest good, and I commend you for it. Yet take care you do not imagine this wisdom can be seized by the cleverness of human reasoning. The eyes of your heart must be enlightened. This is not the work of study, but of power; not of eloquence, but of grace. The very phrasing you quote shows that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, must give it. He does not say this wisdom is dug up from books or sharpened by argument, but given from above. Therefore, let your chief labor be prayer, ceaseless thanksgiving, and a humble spirit, for the mystery is known only by those to whom the Spirit unveils it.

Consider what you are asking to know: the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are not trifles. That power is the very strength which raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above all rule and authority. Who can grasp such things unless God Himself stretches out His hand? The natural mind is too weak, too earth-bound. It spends itself on skins and bargains, as mine once did. Only the grace of the Spirit can lift a soul to comprehend the length and breadth and height and depth of the love of Christ. So do not trust in your own understanding, nor be discouraged if these truths seem distant. The power of God is made perfect in our weakness. The Apostle himself, writing to places full of trials and carnal reasonings, prayed they would be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. And you must do the same: flee to God, and in every prayer do as Paul did, giving thanks and asking that the Father of glory would grant you this illumination. The hand that conquered death is not shortened; it will open the eyes of your heart if you do not rely upon the foolishness of human wisdom, but upon Christ, who is Himself the wisdom of God. Press on, then, forgetting what lies behind, and reach forward to this high calling, for He who fills all in all will surely fill you.

Your prayer echoes the very heart of what God has always intended for His people. He does not hide Himself from those who seek Him, but rather delights to give the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. This is not a distant, intellectual knowledge. It is the unveiling of Jesus Christ to your inner being, a brightness that shines to show you what is real. The eyes of your heart can be flooded with light so that you see something solid and unshakeable.

What you are asking to know is the hope of His calling. That hope is not a wishful thought. It is an anchor. It is the certainty of where you are headed because of what Jesus has already done. He was raised from the dead and seated far above every other rule and authority. Your calling is bound up with His victory. The future is not foggy or uncertain for those who are in Christ. God has laid hold of you for a purpose that stretches into eternity, and every enemy that would stand against that purpose is already under His feet.

You are also asking to know the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. The stunning truth is that you are His inheritance. You are of immense value to God, a treasured possession He has set His love upon. The true measure of riches is not found here, in what corrodes or fades, but in heaven. Your life, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, is part of the treasure that God values beyond comprehension. Seeing yourself this way, as His own portion, changes how you walk through every single day. Your worth is not in your strength or your success, but in the fact that He has claimed you as His own.

And you are asking to know the surpassing greatness of His power toward those who believe. This is the same mighty strength that raised Christ from the dead and put Him above every principality. You do not need to be a super saint manufactured by your own effort. The reality is that we have a little strength, and that is a blessed place to be, for then His power is perfected. The open door He sets before you is not opened by your might; no one can shut what He opens, and no one needs to break down what He has closed. The power that governs the cosmos is working on your behalf right now, in the mundane moments and the great trials.

When you feel weakness, you are standing where the current of His strength can flow. When heaven looks upon the worth of the Lamb who was slain, they ascribe to Him power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing. That same Lamb holds you, and that same power is the undercurrent of your life. As you worship Him, not confined to a building or a moment, but in spirit and in truth, your vision is lifted from the chaos of a world in rebellion to the clarity of the throne above, where the Alpha and the Omega reigns.

So let your request be rooted in this confidence: the eternal God, the great I Am who stands outside of time, has given you a new identity. He has written a new name upon you, a name that speaks of the city yet to come and of a permanent place in His presence. You shall go out no more from His temple, for you are being built in as a pillar. The God who began a good work in you is bringing you into the fullness of relationship with Himself. That is the ultimate source of wisdom and strength. Rest in that.
