🧎🏽‍♂️"We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen," Eph 3:14-20."

Eph 1:15 "For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all," Eph 3:15-23.

We come together in unity, lifting our hearts before the Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the source of all wisdom, revelation, and strength. Your request reflects a deep hunger for the fullness of Christ’s indwelling love and the riches of His glory, and we join you in praying these powerful passages over your life and the lives of all who seek Him.

Father, we bow our knees before You, the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We ask, according to the riches of Your glory, that You would grant us to be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, so that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ, a love that surpasses knowledge. Fill us with all the fullness of God, for You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. To You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

We also stand with you in praying for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. Lord, we ask that the eyes of our hearts would be enlightened, so that we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe. This power is the same mighty strength You exerted when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion. May we walk in the fullness of this truth, knowing that Christ is head over all things for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

In these prayers, we recognize the profound privilege of being in Christ, rooted in His love, empowered by His Spirit, and called to live in the fullness of His glory. Yet we must also acknowledge that this fullness is only accessible through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Jesus to be Lord of your life. For "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

For those who are already in Christ, let us press on to know Him more deeply. The love of Christ is not merely an abstract concept but a living reality that transforms us from the inside out. As we seek to comprehend its dimensions, let us also live in a manner worthy of our calling, walking in holiness, purity, and obedience to God’s Word. If there are areas in your life where sin has taken root, whether in thought, word, or deed, we encourage you to confess it and turn away from it. The Holy Spirit is faithful to cleanse us and restore us when we humble ourselves before Him (1 John 1:9).

Let us also remember that the strength we receive from the Spirit is not for our own glory but for the advancement of God’s kingdom. We are called to love one another, bear one another’s burdens, and spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). If you are struggling with loneliness, bitterness, or unforgiveness, we pray that the love of Christ would break every chain and fill you with His peace.

Finally, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to distort the truth of God’s Word. The enemy may whisper that you are unworthy of Christ’s love or that His power is not sufficient for your struggles, but we declare that these are deceptions. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Ephesians 1:19-20). Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, and let no weapon formed against you prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

May the Lord continue to reveal Himself to you in deeper ways, filling you with His wisdom, His love, and His strength. Walk in the confidence that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer you’ve shared is a beautiful echo of the very hunger God loves to stir in us. When we find ourselves drawn to these vast, sweeping promises, strength in the inner man, roots sunk deep in love, the capacity to grasp the ungraspable fullness of Christ, it’s not because we’ve worked up a noble spiritual ambition. The Spirit is at work, widening our hearts to receive what Jesus already longs to give. That longing itself is a gift.

We’ve often found that the love of Christ which “surpasses knowledge” isn’t meant to be learned in isolation. It seeps into us as we pray these truths honestly together and as we live them in the ordinary fabric of a real church community. It comes not by perfectly understood doctrine but through moments of shared grace, when a brother bears our burden without being asked, when we forgive and are forgiven, when we sit with someone in silence and know we are not alone.

So we thank God with you for this prayer, and we’d simply encourage you to keep marinating in it. Perhaps take one phrase from Ephesians 1 or 3 and let it accompany you through a day, asking the Father to open your eyes to where that reality is already showing up in the faces and lives of the saints around you. He is faithful to give the Spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Lord Jesus, we bow with them and ask what they have asked: root us and every believer who shares this longing so deeply in Your love that we begin to know what we cannot fully grasp. Fill us with all Your fullness as only You can do, and teach us to see the evidence of Your power already working among us. In Your name, Amen.

What a mercy that the Holy Spirit has laid this very prayer upon your soul, for you do not merely recite the Word but you make it your own cry. There is no higher petition that can ascend from the heart of man than this, that you might be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your heart by faith. Mark well, this is not a matter of mere fleshly excitement or a passing emotional stir. It is the deep, solid, supernatural work of God Himself, according to the riches of His glory, to establish you in the root and ground of love.

You seek wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and you do well, for Christ is Himself the wisdom of God, and outside of Him all so-called wisdom is but painted folly. The Spirit, who searcheth the deep things of God, must enlighten the eyes of your understanding; no college of the learned can impart this. The prayer that rises from your heart is already a sign that the Spirit is striving, for the natural man seeketh not these things. Go on to plead the promise, for the Father of glory is more ready to give this spirit of wisdom than we are to ask. To know the hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance is not a mere intellectual attainment; it is a discovery made to the heart that has been rooted and grounded in love, the love that first loved us.

You long to comprehend the breadth, length, depth, and height of the love of Christ which passes knowledge, and this is a blessed paradox. You will never measure it, but you may apprehend it more and more. You must be filled with all the fullness of God, but this can never be by your own straining. You are empty, and of His fullness must all grace be received. Do not look within for the fullness; look to the Fountain. All fullness dwells in Him, as the treasury of the saints, fullness to pardon, to sanctify, to preserve and to perfect. It is stored up in Christ Jesus as the Head, and from Him it flows to all the members of His body. The very strength you crave, the power that works in us, is the same mighty power which raised Him from the dead and set Him at God’s right hand. How exceeding great! How exceedingly abundant above all you ask or think!

Observe, then, that this knowledge of love, this strong indwelling, comes not by the law but by faith. It is “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” Your questionings and your sense of insensibility must be answered not by legal effort but by looking again unto Jesus. The light of the knowledge of the glory of God is in the face of Jesus Christ. Not in thunders from Sinai, but in that marred yet matchless face, streaming with love from Gethsemane and Golgotha, do we see God most clearly. When we are directed into the love of God, we see it as the fountain and foundation of all our salvation. Let nothing curdle that precious love in your heart; be not as one who grieves the Spirit by base doubts of a love sealed with such blood.

Lay hold, therefore, on the identity of Christ. He who is ascended and seated far above all principality is the same Jesus who was dead. The power is not a cold, distant force; it is the personal power of a living, loving Redeemer. Go to Him with all your emptiness. Go to Him with your perceived lack of strength. The very fact that the Father has placed all grace in Him is a matter that gratifies His love to His Son; it is His delight for you to receive it. He is that pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and the Lamb. What but good and perfect gifts can flow from that throne? Drink deeply. Know that you are not serving a little Christ or a stingy Lord, but a Christ in whom the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily, in whom you are complete.

Bow your knees again, and with every petition of this glorious prayer, add the doxology that follows it. Unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to do far more than your largest thought has grasped, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer you lift up from the Apostle is not an idle wish but a path to be trodden with all earnestness. You seek to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, to be filled with all the fullness of God. Yet understand well: this knowledge is not a thing of clever words or human reasoning. I determined to know nothing among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified, and my speech was not in persuasive words of wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might rest not on the wisdom of men but on the power of God. So now, if you would have Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, first cast away all confidence in your own understanding and the pride of life. The wisdom from without cannot grasp what the Spirit alone reveals to the lowly.

Come then, bow the knees of your heart to the Father. Ask not merely for a flash of insight but to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may settle deeply within you. When He dwells there, rooted and grounded in love, then though the love of Christ lies above all human knowledge, you shall know it by experience. You shall be filled unto all the fullness of God, that is, with every virtue of which He is full. But mark: this path is narrow. Soft living, the fullness of bread, the chasing of ease and luxury, these drown men in destruction as they did the Sodomites and the Israelites who made a god of their belly. If you would ascend to the height of this calling, you must hold fast to the way of self-government, of love to mankind, and of fervent care for the poorer sort. In such a life God gives grace to the humble, and the Spirit works that surpassing greatness of His power which raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above all rule and authority.

So let your prayer be matched by your conduct. Seek the hope of his calling not by speculation but by a conscience kept in simplicity and sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God. Then the eyes of your heart will be enlightened; you will truly know the riches of his inheritance and the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe. Press on, then, holding to this way that leads to heaven, and you shall not only comprehend with all the saints the boundless dimensions of Christ’s love but also attain the good things promised, to the glory of God in the church, world without end.

There is a deep, holy longing in those prayers you've woven together. Not just a reciting of words, but a real cry for what only God can do in the inner man. And that is exactly what Paul was pouring out for the church. He was not asking for more head knowledge or a set of new principles to try harder. He was praying for a supernatural work of the Spirit that would change everything about how you see and how you live.

You asked about wisdom and revelation to know Him. Understand that the entire Bible is an unveiling. It lifts the wraps off Jesus Christ so that we can see who He really is. That is the heart of the matter. If you want to know what God is like, you do not look to circumstances or empty worldly philosophies. You fix your eyes on Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness of the Father. The fullness of God is not an abstract force; it is found in a Person, and the Spirit’s work is to make that Person real to you.

But look closely at what the prayer says must happen first. That you be strengthened with might in the inner man so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. This is not a crushing weight of performance. We have but a little strength. We are utterly dependent. Yet God, according to the riches of His glory, supplies the power. Your part is not to generate the strength but to open the heart in simple, trusting faith. When you pray for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened, you are asking God to show you the reality you already possess in Christ: the hope of His calling, the riches of your inheritance, and the immeasurable greatness of His power toward you right now.

That power is the very same strength that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him far above all rule and authority. Do not let the enemy deceive you with empty words that suggest you are defeated or that your sin is greater than His life in you. Christ is head over all things for the church, and you are part of His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. His position is your security.

And what is the ultimate goal of this strengthening and indwelling? It is love. More than any gift of the Spirit, more than any work you could do, there is nothing that excels love. You must be rooted and grounded in it, because without it, everything else is meaningless noise. You are asking to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. That is not a contradiction; it is an invitation to experience a reality so vast that you will spend your entire existence discovering its width, length, depth, and height. The only works God will accept are those motivated by that very love constraining you from within. It is the heart aflame with Him, not just outward ritual, that He seeks.

So let this be your confidence: He who is able to do far more abundantly than all you ask or even imagine is at work within you. Ask Him to search you and know your heart, to see if there is any wicked way in you. Do not measure His love by the troubles of a world in rebellion. Measure it by the cross and the empty tomb. Let your prayer rise as incense before His throne, and trust that the Spirit of wisdom is already at work, grounding you in the unshakeable love of Christ, to the glory of God forever and ever. Amen.
