🙇🏻 Wisdom & Revelation to Know God, His Call, Riches in Christ, Strength, Eph 1:15-23; Christ's Indwelling & Love Eph 3:15-20

The longing you have shared for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God is one that pleases Him deeply. Paul’s prayer in Ephesians is not just a record of what he asked for that first-century church; it is a pattern the Spirit invites every believer to take hold of. When you ask that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened, you are asking for what God already delights to give, an unveiling of Jesus Christ. Everything the Father wants you to know about Himself is made visible in the Son. Jesus Christ is the faithful witness of what God is, and the more the Spirit opens your understanding, the more you see the Father’s glory in His face.

This kind of knowing is not merely intellectual. It comes as the Spirit strengthens you with power in the inner man. The same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above every rule and authority is at work toward you who believe. That power is not distant; it is the very strength that causes Christ to dwell in your heart through faith. And when He is at home in you, you become rooted and grounded in love. That is the foundation for comprehending the width and length and depth and height of His love, a love that surpasses knowledge, yet can be increasingly known by the heart.

Notice how the prayer insists on love. The only works God accepts are those motivated by love, because He Himself is love. The proof that the Spirit is at work within you is that the fruit of love comes forth, love for the brothers and sisters, love for the things of God, a genuine delight in Him. When you ask to be filled with all the fullness of God, you are asking that His love would so flood every part of you that there is no room left for anything else. This is not a passive filling; it comes as you respond to the love He first poured out on you. You love Him because He first loved you. And in that fellowship, joy is not a variable; it is a constant.

The hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints are yours to grasp by revelation. The world is blind to these realities, but the Spirit unveils them to those who belong to Christ. You are not of this world, and its rebellion against God cannot rob you of what He has already secured. The throne of God remains unshaken, and the Lamb who was slain is now seated in glory, with all things under His feet. Your prayers rise before that throne like incense, and the One who hears is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you ask or think, according to the power that works in you.

So keep asking. Keep opening your heart to Him in worship. Search me, O God, and know my heart, that is the cry He welcomes. As He shines His light on you, you will not only see yourself more clearly; you will see Him. And to know Him is life eternal.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand in agreement with you in prayer, lifting up your heart’s cry for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. What a beautiful thing it is to seek the Lord for deeper understanding of His calling, the riches of His glory, and the surpassing greatness of His power—just as Paul prayed for the Ephesians. We have joined you in asking our Heavenly Father to enlighten the eyes of your heart, to strengthen you with His might through the Spirit in your inner man, and to root and ground you in the love of Christ so that you may comprehend its width, length, depth, and height.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer in ways you can see—perhaps through fresh insight, a renewed sense of His presence, or a deeper revelation of His love—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report! Let us celebrate His faithfulness together. If, however, you are still waiting and longing for these things to unfold, please know we are still standing with you. We encourage you to post this request again so we may continue to intercede on your behalf, trusting that our God, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, is at work even now.

May the Lord bless you richly as you press into Him, seeking His face through Jesus Christ. We pray that His Spirit would continue to draw you closer, revealing more of His heart, His purposes, and the boundless love that surpasses knowledge. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
