Wisdom, Protection, Favors, Peace, Love and Joy

Your love for your children and your desire to see them walk closely with the Lord comes through so clearly, and the heaviness you are carrying for your family is understandable. You are praying for a younger daughter who is unwell and pressing hard in her studies and lab work, for a son with a disability whom you love deeply, and for an older daughter who is in a harmful and controlling relationship outside of marriage. You are also grieving division, disrespect, and isolation that have entered your home, and you long for unity, gratitude, and peace to be restored.

Scripture teaches that our relationship with God is primary and everything else rests upon it. The first commandments concern loving God with all our heart, and unless that vertical relationship is right, our relationships with others cannot be right. God does not want a distant legal arrangement or a half hearted lukewarm walk. He has adopted us into His family through Jesus Christ, and He invites us to know Him as Father in a close, intimate, loving relationship. When that center is right, when we are walking in honest love and fellowship with Him, He brings balance and health into every other relationship. That is where restoration begins, not by striving to fix every horizontal conflict at once, but by returning to the Lord Himself with a whole heart and inviting Him to be Lord over our home.

You have asked for healing for your younger daughter and for your son, and for protection as your daughter studies, works, and drives. We join you in asking the Lord for His healing touch and for His favor and wisdom upon her mind and hands in class and in the lab. At the same time we remember that God in His wisdom does not always bring immediate physical healing in the way we ask, as we see even in the case of Timothy who was encouraged to care for his frequent ailments. God is able to heal directly and He is also able to give wisdom, strength, and grace to endure and to be sustained. In either case we can trust His love and pray with confidence, asking for relief from pain, for rest without overwork, for safety on the road, and for a peaceful and satisfying week, while resting in His perfect will. His protection is real for those who abide in Him. To be under His care is to be covered by His hedge and clothed in the full armor He provides, and no weapon formed against His children will ultimately prosper. Praying in the name of Jesus and pleading His blood is not a formula but a declaration of trust that we belong to Him and are kept by Him.

The pain you describe around influences in your home also reflects how difficult it is to live in a polluted culture and not be touched by it. Even a family that loves God can feel the pull of attitudes that breed disrespect, jealousy, division, and ingratitude. You have noticed a pattern of withdrawal and heaviness in your younger daughter after time with a particular friend, and you are right to pray for discernment. Scripture calls us to walk with those who will uplift us and to turn away from friendships that consistently leave us downcast, confused, or distant from family and faith. Pray that the Lord will give your daughter wisdom to choose godly, pure friendships that respect her upbringing and encourage her love for God, for family, and for her brother, whom you have rightly taught her to see as a blessing and not a burden.

Concerning your older daughter, we must speak with both grace and truth. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's sight. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy and shared living as a couple belong within that covenant. We cannot ask God to bless a living arrangement that is outside His design, but we can and do ask Him to open eyes, to bring conviction, to break controlling and dishonest patterns, and to restore self worth, independence, and love for God, family, work, and church. You have described financial exploitation, isolation from family and friends, and a loss of purpose, and those are serious signs of an unhealthy relationship. We pray that the Lord will give your older daughter courage, wisdom, and a clear path to step out of this entanglement swiftly and to find her security and identity in Christ again. We also pray that any overstepping or manipulation from the young man's family would be blocked, that your daughters would not be pressured to make unwise financial or living decisions, and that your home would be guarded from schemes that foster division.

We thank God with you for the courtship He has brought into your younger daughter's life and for a young man who has shown respect to you, kindness to your family, and genuine care for your son. That humility and honor is a beautiful contrast. Pray that the Lord will continue to foster that relationship with grace, respect, understanding, and purity, guiding both of them toward His will step by step. If it is His will to lead them toward marriage, may it be built on a foundation of faith, self control, and commitment that honors Him. Pray also that your younger daughter will not imitate the path her sister has taken, but will keep a grateful and obedient heart toward the Lord and toward you.

Restoration of love in a family often comes as we return to first works. When love has grown cold, the way back is to choose again the simple acts of love, to build one another up, to speak openly and kindly, to show gratitude, and to offer gentle touch and time together. Ask the Lord to renew a thankful and respectful spirit in each of your children, to deepen the bond between you and your daughters and between the sisters and their brother, and to make your family unity a compound oneness that reflects His own nature. Where there has been jealousy, word curses, and spiritual attack, we look to Christ who has broken every curse and who sets us free from fear. We do not need to live in dread of witchcraft or dark influences, for greater is He who is in us.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this mother and her children to You. We ask for Your healing power upon the younger daughter, for relief from her illness and pain, for strength, clarity, and efficiency in her studies and lab, and for safety as she travels. Cover her and her brother and her sister with Your hedge of protection and Your full armor. Restore peace of mind to the son, loose his tongue to speak clearly, and let him know daily that he is Your child, loved and cherished, a blessing to his family. Give wisdom, courage, and understanding to everyone in this household to face each challenge. Frustrate every plan that seeks to divide, isolate, or exploit this family, and remove every influence that is not from You. Open the older daughter's eyes to see the controlling and deceptive patterns around her, and give her the desire and strength to turn from living together outside marriage and to return to You, to her family, and to a purposeful life. Guard the younger daughter from negative friendships and from any pressure to move away from home unwisely, and surround her with godly companions who will encourage her faith. Bless the courtship You have allowed with continued respect, humility, and purity, and lead it according to Your perfect will. Saturate this home with Your peace that passes understanding, with love, joy, fellowship, and unity, and make the bond between this mother and her children strong and unbreakable in You. We thank You that nothing is impossible for You and that You see all and hear our prayers. Amen.
