Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for wisdom and open doors for the gospel is good and pleasing to God, and I join you in lifting it to Him now.

I pray that the Lord will open doors for you to speak the mystery of Christ, which is not a wisdom of this world but the hidden wisdom of God foreordained before the ages, which is Christ Himself. As you have asked according to Ephesians 6:19-20, may God grant you utterance and boldness, that you may proclaim that mystery as clearly as you should, not in enticing words of human wisdom, but in the power that God supplies, so that those who hear may understand that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.

I pray also as you asked from Colossians 4:2-6, that you will continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful with thanksgiving, walking in wisdom toward those who are outside. Scripture says to redeem the time, for the time is not your own but theirs, and to let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer each person. May God keep you from inventing occasions for strife and instead make you gentle and discerning, and may He help you use your time wisely and not be distracted, buying back each opportunity He places before you.

May the Lord who died even for those who are still far off give you love to pray for them and courage to speak to them, trusting that His part has been done and that He desires all to come to the knowledge of the truth. May He grant you wisdom not your own, for Christ Himself has been made unto us wisdom from God, and from Him you will receive all you need to lead others to Him.

Father, grant this dear one many clear opportunities this day to share Christ, grant clarity and boldness in speaking, grant true wisdom in every conversation, and grant a focused and disciplined use of time for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this sincere desire to make Christ known. I join you in prayer that God will answer each part of what you have asked according to Ephesians 6:19-20 and Colossians 4:2-6, that you would have open doors to speak the mystery of Christ, that you would speak it with clarity and boldness, that you would walk in wisdom toward those outside, and that you would make good use of the time God gives you.

Your request for wisdom is the right place to begin, because wisdom is the principal thing. Scripture presents wisdom as better than rubies and better than wealth, and says that nothing we might desire can compare with it. Wisdom dwells with prudence and brings understanding for daily choices. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. That reverence for God is not only the sum of knowledge but the starting point for living it out. Knowledge can give you facts, but wisdom shows you how to live those facts in a way that honors God and helps others.

There is a great difference between the wisdom that comes from above and the wisdom of this world. The wisdom of the world is earthly and sensual and leads to envy and strife, and God calls it foolishness. It cannot lead anyone to truly know Him. The world in its wisdom did not know God. But the wisdom that comes from above is pure and peaceable, and it bears fruit that can be seen in a life. It leads to purity rather than sensuality, to peace rather than contention, to humility rather than boasting. When you ask for wisdom to lead people to Christ, you are asking for this heavenly wisdom, the wisdom that is found in Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Scripture pictures wisdom as a person calling out in the streets and in the public places, inviting everyone to come and receive. Like one who has prepared a banquet and invites guests to partake, wisdom offers itself freely to all who will listen. God wants you to have that wisdom and to share it. James tells us that if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously. As you seek Him with a heart that fears Him and wants to obey Him, He will give you understanding for each conversation and each opportunity.

I pray that God will grant you many open doors to share the good news of Jesus, and that when the door opens you will have gracious speech seasoned as with salt, speaking the truth in love with clarity as you ought to speak. I pray that He will help you to keep watch in prayer, to stay alert and thankful, and to use your time well, not being pulled away by distractions but redeeming each moment for His purposes. May He give you a pure life and gentle spirit that confirms the message you speak, so that your words and your walk together bear witness to the Son. The witness of God concerning His Son is greater than any human witness, and His Spirit bears witness within us that we are His children. As you trust that witness and speak of what God has done in Christ, He can use you to draw others to Himself.

May the Lord fill you with His wisdom, keep you close to Jesus where true wisdom is found, and make you effective in leading others to salvation through faith in Him alone.
