We join you in seeking the Lord for wisdom in this season and we thank you for bringing these needs before Him in Jesus' name. We are grateful you have asked in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father, as Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We pray with you for wisdom and direction, for health, for your time in the gym, for the decision involving the person you mentioned, and for excellent and regular scheduled time with your son. The Word tells us in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. And we echo the prayer of Col 1:9, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. We ask the Lord to make your path clear, to give you discernment for each decision, and to order your steps regarding your son, that your time together would be consistent, fruitful, and honoring to God, building him up in the nurture and instruction of the Lord.
We also lift up your desire for health and for grace in this season of fasting according to Isa 58:7-14. We pray that your fast would be according to His heart, not merely abstaining from food but as Isa 58:7 says, to share your bread with the hungry and bring the poor who are cast out to your house, to loose the bonds of wickedness and to let the oppressed go free. When the fast is done unto the Lord and not for the praise of men, He promises in Isa 58:11, and Yahweh will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters don't fail. We ask for special grace and strength for your body during this fast, that He would sustain you, keep you from spiritual pride, and keep your motives pure as taught in Matt 6:16-18. For your health and your time in the gym, we remember Psalm 103:2-5, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies; who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. And we hold 1 Tim 4:8 before you, For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come. We pray for renewed strength, discipline, and healing where needed, and that your physical stewardship would serve your godliness and your ability to minister, not become an idol or a distraction.
We bring before the Lord your second burden, the possible move, the not for profit setup, and the other matters and people you mentioned, along with your desire for effective ministry to the Lord Himself, to disciples, and to the lost. We ask for clear open and closed doors, for provision, for wise counsel, and for favor. We pray that whatever you do would be done for the glory of God and the building up of His kingdom, and that He would establish the work of your hands and give you pure motives, free from self promotion as warned in 1 Cor 8:1, where knowledge puffs up, but love builds up, and free from the appearance of godliness without power as in 2 Tim 3:5.
We also agree with you for protection from temptation, deception, lies, evil people, falsehood, fear, and sin, and from the evil one himself. We pray as you asked from Luke 11:4 and Matt 6:13, Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. We pray as Jesus prayed in John 17:15, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one. We pray as in 1 John 5:18, that he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn't touch him. We ask the Lord to guard you from deception as warned in Matt 24:4, that no one would lead you astray, and to deliver you from unreasonable and evil men as in 2 Thess 3:2, for not all have faith. May He fulfill Zeph 3:13 over your life, keeping you from doing perversity and speaking lies, and keeping your mouth free from a deceitful tongue, that you may feed and lie down with no one to make you afraid.
Father, we lift our brother to You together. Pour out wisdom liberally, give grace for this fast, guide every decision, heal and strengthen his body, bless his time with his son, direct his steps concerning the move and the ministry You have entrusted to him, and set a hedge of protection around him from every form of evil, deception, and temptation. Let him walk in truth, humility, and holiness, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
