Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for bringing these scriptures before the Lord. Your desire to mourn before God and be comforted, to be healed in heart and mind, to hear the voice of Jesus and to obey His will, is pleasing to Him.
Jesus did say blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted, and He still binds up the brokenhearted. The wounds you described, the heaviness and anguish like that spoken of in Isaiah and Jeremiah, are not hidden from Him. He invites those who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest, and He is faithful to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully turned toward Him. We pray He will continue that deep healing work in your heart and mind, bringing restoration where there has been bruising and weariness.
You asked for wisdom to know and do His will, and for direction to walk in it as Jesus submitted to the Father. Wisdom is the principal thing, more to be desired than riches or anything else this world offers. True wisdom is not merely collecting facts or information. Knowledge gives facts, but wisdom knows how to rightly apply them. That wisdom is found in Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and it begins with the fear of the Lord. It hates pride and arrogance and every crooked way, and it loves what is pure and right. It calls out openly to all who will listen, like one preparing a banquet and inviting everyone to come and receive. When you love wisdom and do not forsake it, it will preserve you and keep you.
This is very different from the wisdom of this world, which apart from God becomes foolish, earthly and self seeking, and leads to strife and confusion. The wisdom that comes from above leads to purity, peace and a life that bears good fruit. So we pray with you from Colossians that you would be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you would trust Him with all your heart rather than leaning on your own understanding, and that He would make your paths straight. As you listen for the Shepherd's voice, the Holy Spirit will lead you, and you will learn to recognize and follow Him.
You also asked for help to leave what lies behind and press forward toward what lies ahead, and for protection from deception, temptation and the evil one. Forgetting what is behind in a healthy way does not mean pretending the past did not happen, but releasing its hold so you can pursue the upward call of God in Christ with a healed heart. Part of that protection is discernment. Scripture warns that some profess to know God but deny Him by their actions, having only an outward form of godliness while denying its power, and we are right to turn away from such influence. The wisdom of God will help you recognize those voices and deliver you from them, and keep you from lies and from those who would lead you astray.
We pray that the Lord will keep you from temptation and deliver you from evil, that He will guard you from evil people and imposters, and that you will find grace to help in time of need as you draw near to His throne with confidence. May He give you meaningful and fruitful work to do, and teach you to devote yourself to what is good and helpful for others, and may His peace which passes all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you continue to hear and obey Him.
