We join with you in lifting up your beloved wife before the throne of grace and we stand with you in this time of waiting and uncertainty. Marriage is a precious gift from God and we honor your love and concern for your wife as her husband, and we pray that God will strengthen your marriage through this trial and draw you both closer to Him and to each other.
We know how worrying it can be to hear the word suspicious and to face a biopsy, but we take comfort that our God is our healer and our refuge. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh and not forget all His benefits, who forgives all our sins and who heals all our diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 the Lord says, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to the promise in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We also hold to Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together for her now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear wife and her husband to You. Lord, You know her body intimately for You formed her, and You see this nodule on her thyroid. We ask for Your healing hand upon her, that You would bring complete restoration and health according to Your will. We pray for the biopsy, that You would guide the hands and minds of the doctors and medical staff, grant them wisdom and accuracy, and let the results be clear and benign. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety and we ask You to replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Comfort her heart and her husband's heart, strengthen their faith, and let them feel Your presence very near in the waiting. We ask that this trial would be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy and that You would be glorified in her healing. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently encourage you with this truth, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and can boldly approach God in prayer with assurance. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Him as Lord and Savior.
We encourage you both to continue to cast your cares upon Him, to pray together daily, to rest in His Word, and to trust His sovereign goodness even as you wait for answers. We will continue to keep you both in prayer for peace, for good results, and for restored health.
