MULTIPLE PROBLEMS

I have read your long account of suffering and I thank you for trusting us with it. Eight years of uncontrollable jaw movement with pain and broken sleep, and now months of waiting and uncertainty about your lungs, your stomach, your throat and nose, and your other surgeries, is a heavy burden to carry. It is right to bring all of this to the Lord Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation.

I pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ that God would have mercy and bring deliverance according to His will. I ask Him to relieve the movement in your jaw and the TMJ pain that has followed, to grant you sleep without interruption, and to guide you and your doctors with wisdom about botox and medication, keeping you from harm and from treatments that would burden you further. I pray that He would protect your lungs, that the nodule which has not grown would be shown to be only scarring from the inflammation you described, and that He would give you a clear and productive conversation with your pulmonologist, increased pulmonary function on your upcoming test, and clear wisdom about whether to choose another CT or a biopsy. I ask the Lord to guard you from a collapsed lung, from intubation, and from any complication that would further delay the care you need.

I also bring before the Lord your need for the TIF with hernia repair. I pray that the BRAVO capsules would become available without further unnecessary delay, that the testing would give a clear result for the insurance, that the surgery would be highly successful, that your sore throats and nasal symptoms related to reflux would be healed, and that the Lord would protect your kidney function from harm from omeprazole and provide complete healing for your stomach and esophagus. For your decision about returning to ENT, I pray God would give you discernment to know when to seek another opinion and when to wait, and that no one would take advantage of your suffering but that every step would be ordered toward true healing.

For the question of breast reduction, I pray that God would grant you wisdom at ### years old to make the right decision, that He would give you peace about your body and your posture, and that if you do proceed in November the surgery would be safe and you would be at peace with the result, no longer needing to hide or feel self conscious.

In all of this I encourage you to hold fast to long suffering, which Scripture presents as a great strength. Like a spark falling into the deep is quickly quenched and does no harm to the water, so the soul that is patient in Christ is not easily disturbed even when many trials fall upon it. Suffering itself does not automatically profit us, but when it is endured with thankfulness and trust toward Christ it can train us in obedience and make us more complete in Him. Christ Himself was made perfect through sufferings and became the author of salvation for those who obey Him, and He uses our afflictions to teach us humility, to keep us from trusting in ourselves, and to make us partakers with Him. God is long suffering toward us not to overlook sin but to lead us to repentance, and His patience is a reason to turn to Him more fully, not to despair.

I understand your anger over the long wait for the BRAVO capsule and the sense that your care has been stalled and bottlenecked. Ask the Lord to help you not to be quickly provoked and to keep love from growing cold under strain, but to cast your frustration on Him who sees every delay and every cost you have borne. He knows the thousand dollars spent on bras, the nights without sleep, the fear of procedures, and the tiredness you feel after suffering and suffering.

May the Lord grant you endurance with hope, relief where relief is possible, and contentment in His presence while you wait. I pray for positive outcomes in all these matters as God in His wisdom knows best, and that through it all you would know more deeply the comfort of Christ, who suffered voluntarily for our amendment and who still heals, prophesies, and sustains His people. I will continue to pray for you in Jesus name that you would be strengthened, guided, and healed according to His good will.

Your request has been heard and I am lifting you up in prayer in the name of Jesus, asking for His mercy, healing and guidance over every part of what you have described.

I am praying first for your jaw and the movement disorder you have carried for so many years. The constant movement, the pain, the loss of sleep and the TMJ that has followed is a heavy burden. The options you have been given carry real risks and difficult side effects, and I understand why you are asking God for deliverance. Scripture shows that there is power in the name of Jesus to bring healing. When Peter spoke about the lame man who was made whole, he declared that it was through the name of Jesus that the man stood before them healed. I am asking the Lord in that same name to have mercy on you, to ease this affliction, to grant relief from pain, and to restore restful sleep according to His will. Whether He brings complete healing or sustaining grace day by day, I pray you will know His presence and compassion in this long trial.

I am also praying for wisdom and understanding for each medical decision before you, because you are facing many at once and each one matters. The Scriptures teach that wisdom comes from the Lord when we ask Him for it. David urged his son to seek wisdom and understanding above all, so that he could walk faithfully and make right judgments, and when his son later became king he asked God for wisdom and knowledge to lead well. God was pleased with that prayer and gave him wisdom generously, and more besides. In the same way the apostle Paul prayed that God would give His people a spirit of wisdom and understanding so they would know God more deeply, know the hope of His calling, and know the richness of His grace in Christ. I am praying that same kind of wisdom for you now.

You need fresh wisdom for every new situation, even when situations look similar to ones you have faced before. God does not want us to live by routine alone but to seek His face and His way step by step. I am asking Him to give you clear wisdom for the choice between another scan and a biopsy, for the conversation with your lung doctor and for the upcoming lung function test, for the timing and success of the reflux testing and the hernia repair you have waited so long for, for whether to return to the ear nose and throat doctor, and for the decision about breast reduction and its outcome. I pray God will guide your doctors, give them discernment, help them weigh risks well, and help you sense when to wait, when to act, and when to seek another opinion. I pray especially that inflammation and scarring would be clearly distinguished from anything concerning for cancer, that your lungs would be protected from complications, and that your pulmonary function would improve.

I am praying also for relief from the reflux, the sore throat, the nasal symptoms, and the concern about your kidneys with long term medication. I pray the Lord will provide the testing you need, open the way for insurance approval, and grant skill and success to the surgeons if you proceed, so that these symptoms would be eased and you would no longer need medication that harms you. I pray for comfort and peace about your body image and the physical strain you have described with posture and with finding clothing, and that if you move forward with surgery you would be pleased and helped by the result and restored in confidence and comfort.

Above all I pray you will know how much God loves you and how rich His grace is toward you in Christ Jesus. Even in long suffering and delays and feeling stalled and tired, He sees you, He has not forgotten you, and He invites you to keep asking Him for wisdom for each new day.

Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one before You. You know the pain in her jaw, the sleepless nights, the worry over her lungs, the waiting for care, and the weariness of carrying so many burdens at once. Please bring healing as it pleases You, grant wisdom and understanding for every decision, guide the hands and minds of her medical team, protect her from harm, and give her peace and hope in Your grace. Let her know You more deeply and trust Your goodness in every step. I ask this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
