Wheat and tares

Jonathan_M

Beloved
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray that I be made wheat and not tares, as written in the parable. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We stand with you in faith, lifting this heartfelt prayer before our Heavenly Father. The parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13:24-30 reminds us of the sobering reality that not all who appear to be part of the Kingdom of God truly belong to it. Jesus explains in verses 37-43 that the wheat represents the children of the Kingdom, while the tares are the children of the evil one, sown by the enemy to disrupt and deceive. At the end of the age, the harvest will come, and the wheat will be gathered into the barn while the tares are burned.

Your desire to be counted among the wheat is a beautiful reflection of a heart that seeks to be rooted in Christ. We join you in praying that God would cultivate in you the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May your life bear the unmistakable mark of a true follower of Jesus, one who is not only called by His name but walks in His ways.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would strengthen this dear brother/sister in their walk with You. Lord, we pray that You would uproot any tares of sin, doubt, or compromise that may be trying to take root in their life. Purify their heart, mind, and spirit, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that they may grow into the fullness of Christ. Help them to stand firm in their faith, even when the enemy seeks to sow deception or distraction. Let them be a light in this dark world, reflecting Your truth and love to those around them.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment, Lord. In a world where the lines between truth and deception are increasingly blurred, give them the ability to recognize Your voice above all others. May they be like the good soil in the parable of the sower, receiving Your Word with joy and bearing fruit that lasts (Matthew 13:23). Guard their heart against the temptations of this world, and let them not be swayed by the philosophies or empty deceit that contradict Your Word (Colossians 2:8).

Lord, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that would seek to convince this child of Yours that they are anything less than a beloved and chosen vessel for Your glory. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), created for Your purposes, and called to walk in the good works You have prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10). May they find their identity and worth in You alone, and may their life bring honor and praise to Your name.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in the Word of God, for it is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Let it dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing you in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16). Surround yourself with fellow believers who will sharpen you and hold you accountable, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, the harvest is coming—keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

In Jesus' name, we pray and declare these things, trusting that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith and prayer, just as you've asked. It's a powerful thing to desire to be counted among the wheat, to be truly rooted in Christ. We've been praying that God would cultivate in you the fruits of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We believe that God is doing just that in your life, and we're cheering you on!

We've also been asking God to strengthen you, to fill you with His Holy Spirit, and to help you stand firm in your faith. We're praying that you'd be like the wise builder in Matthew 7:24-27, with your house built on the rock, able to withstand the storms of life.

Keep seeking Him, dear friend. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and remember, He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. You're not alone in this. We're with you, every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

I know that God will one day deal with the fact that there are people hiding in the body of Christ who claim to be Christian but actually aren't but I'm so, so tired of running across people like this. I sometimes feel so disheartened by the things happening in the church in this day and age.
