Beloved of All
I appreciate your efforts, but I also realize that you have to tell people to believe in miracles no matter if there's no chance of any. Sometimes there's just no way that any can happen. There has to be resources, means, people, and scenarios available that can come together to allow miracles to happen. Sometimes there just aren't any. That's life. By the end of this week I fear ALL will be lost. This week I have to pay for my hotel room, my storage, my cell phone, renew my auto insurance, renew my dead tags, get my car fixed, get the car inspected so I can renew my tags IF it can even pass...but that's IF I could even afford to get it fixed. EVERYTHING is crashing this week. Oh yeah, I still have to be able to afford Lyft rides to and from work until my car gets fixed IF I could even find a way to afford it. After losing a job some years back, I ended up losing my house, and just haven't been able to recover financially, vocationally, personally, mentally, spiritually...I crashed. This is week zero for everything to come together. I mentioned there were many times that I was saved from things that could have ended up killing me, seriously, especially in my first five years of life. Probably the very first trauma was when my oldest brother yanked me out of my crib. I know I was crying. This memory is very traumatic. Of course I don't know what he said but I knew by his red angry face it wSn't good. He was yelling at me and shaking me violently. For all I know he could have caused brain damage. I'd like to know where my mother was...probably leaving me unattended like she did when I almost drowned in a swimming pool at the age of ### and when she left me unattended in the ### lake with an alligator. I know it was only by the grace of God that I escaped the alligator. When I was ###, I almost choked to death on a nickel. Another traumatic event. I remember my mother flipping me upside down, shaking me, and smacking hard on my back relentlessly until I finally coughed up the nickel. But first of all, I was a difficult breech birth. Too bad it didn't kill me. How did I survive my first five years? Why would God save me from those things only to end up dying like this?! And I haven't even mentioned a severe car wreck, falling off a train (never mind the story), an out of control car that crossed my lane just feet away and hitting a telephone pole, just barely missed being bitten by a rattle snake when I almost stepped on it barefooted when I wS ###, someone drugged me at a party but my parents never to me to hospital and let me sleep for 24 hours - sometimes I think my parents wNted me to die. And not to mention all the numerous times as a kid that I was rushed to the emergency room because of a severe asthma attack, and all the times as an adult I woke up desperately gasping for air due to my severe sleep apnea as recently as this year and late last year. There's plenty more but you get the picture. What's the point in being delivered from all of these "close calls" only to end up having to end it all on my own? I'm not waiting to lose everything as outlined above. I have "family" but not any of them care. If I lay down flat tonight on my back without any pillows to prop myself up I could cause a severe apnea incident that I might not recover from. If that doesn't happen, by sleeping in the afore-mentioned position, I could also cause a severe acid reflux/gerd attack in my sleep and choke to death. Or, if I'm lucky, both scenarios could happen. If none of these happen, there are plenty of cliffs to jump off of where I live. At this point, it doesn't matter how I leave, it only matters that I leave before the aforementioned drastic scenario. Though my first thoughts of suicide was when I was ### years old and I made a feeble attempt to try to suffocate myself with my pillow and obviously failed, I have always had thoughts of suicide throughout my life and am surprised I made it this far. I've battled severe depression since diagnosed with it when I wS ###. Later on diagnosed with anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD due to childhood abuse and trauma. Recently I'm not sleeping well, I've had onset of asthma attacks that I haven't had in fifty years; I'm also having panic attacks, and hyper ventilating. At times I've felt like i'm suffocating and have had to leave places. Is this what it's like when everything is crashing?! If so, I wish I would just finally crash for good so I won't have to do it myself. I wish I could have some more of the fun, joy, peace, and good times I had so many years ago. I don't know what happened to me. Maybe it was the ECT sessions I had back in ###. I was desperate. I don't recommend ECT to anyone. I think that drastic procedure might even cause some irreparable damage in the mind. I'm done. There's nothing left within me. Sometimes one just has to take the kamikaze crash.

We hear the depth of your pain, the weight of your despair, and the exhaustion of a soul that has endured far more than any person should ever have to bear. You have carried trauma upon trauma, loss upon loss, and now feel as though you stand at the edge of a cliff with no way forward, and no desire to take another step. We want you to know that your life matters deeply to God, even when it feels like nothing else does. The very fact that you are still here, still breathing, still reaching out, even in this moment of utter hopelessness, is evidence of His sustaining grace. You have survived 100% of your worst days so far, and that is not an accident. It is the hand of God preserving you, even when you could not see or feel Him.

Your question, "Why would God save me from those things only to end up dying like this?", is one that cuts to the heart of faith in suffering. The truth is, God does not delight in your pain. He does not orchestrate hardship to punish you or abandon you in it. Scripture tells us, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). He is not distant from your suffering; He is present in it, even when you cannot sense Him. The same God who delivered you from drowning, from choking, from violence and near-death experiences is the same God who sees you now, not as a burden, but as His beloved creation, worthy of redemption, even in this darkness.

You speak of feeling like a "kamikaze crash" is the only way out, but we must rebuke this lie of the enemy with the truth of God's Word. Suicide is not an escape; it is a permanent solution to a temporary storm, and it leaves behind a wake of devastation for those who love you, even if you cannot see that love right now. More importantly, it cuts short the story God is still writing in your life. The thief (Satan) comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The enemy wants you to believe that your pain is meaningless and that death is the only relief, but God promises that "weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). Even if that morning feels impossibly far away, it is coming.

We must also address the spiritual foundation of your plea. You have shared your struggles without mentioning the name of Jesus, and this is not a small detail. It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and only in His name that we find true hope. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have never surrendered your life to Him, or if you have wandered from that relationship, we urge you to cry out to Him now. Salvation is not about being "good enough" or having it all together; it is about recognizing your need for Him and inviting Him into your brokenness. He is the only one who can heal the wounds of your past, calm the storms of your present, and give you a future. If you are willing, pray with us now:

"Lord Jesus, I am broken, exhausted, and out of options. I have tried to carry this alone, and I cannot do it anymore. I believe You are real, and I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I ask You to come into my heart, forgive me, and be my Savior. Take this pain, this despair, and this life, I surrender it all to You. I don't know how to keep going, but I trust that You will show me. Fill me with Your peace, Your strength, and Your hope. In Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer for the first time, or if you rededicated your life to Christ, we rejoice with you! This is the first step toward true healing. But we also know that spiritual renewal must be paired with practical help. Your financial crisis is overwhelming, and your physical and mental health are at a breaking point. You are not meant to walk this road alone. We urge you to reach out to local churches, Christian counseling services, or even secular organizations that can provide emergency assistance with housing, transportation, and medical care. Many communities have ministries specifically for those in crisis, food pantries, financial coaching, and support groups for trauma and depression. You may feel like no one cares, but there are people who do, and they are waiting to help you.

For your immediate needs this week, we will pray specifically:
- For provision for your hotel, storage, and phone bill, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
- For your car to be repaired and pass inspection, and for affordable transportation to work, "The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him" (Psalm 37:23).
- For protection from the physical dangers you mentioned (sleep apnea, acid reflux, and the temptation toward self-harm). We rebuke those spirits of death and despair in Jesus' name and declare that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). You are not your own; you were bought at a price.
- For sleep, peace, and relief from panic attacks, "When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet" (Proverbs 3:24).
- For a breakthrough in your mental health. We pray for wisdom for your doctors, for the right medication or therapy, and for the fog of depression to lift. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3).

We also want to address the trauma you have carried since childhood. The abuse, neglect, and near-death experiences you endured were not your fault, and they were not God's will for you. He did not cause them, but He can redeem them. We encourage you to seek Christian trauma counseling, someone who can help you process these memories through the lens of Scripture and the healing power of Christ. You do not have to carry this weight forever. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). That includes the burdens of your past.

You mentioned feeling like your family does not care, and that is a deep wound. But we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by their actions, or inactions. You are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father, who says, "Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me" (Psalm 27:10). He sees you, He hears you, and He will never abandon you.

Finally, we want to speak to the part of you that still longs for joy, peace, and good times. That longing is not a mistake; it is a reflection of the life God wants to restore in you. The enemy wants you to believe that your best days are behind you, but God is the God of new beginnings. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you (Ephesians 1:19-20). You are not "done." You are in the refiner's fire, and though it is painful, it is not without purpose. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).

We will continue to stand in the gap for you in prayer, believing that God is moving even now to provide, to heal, and to restore. But we also urge you to take one small step today, whether it is calling a crisis hotline, reaching out to a local church, or simply crying out to God in raw honesty. You are not alone, and this is not the end of your story.

Let us pray together now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is in deep despair. Lord, You see every detail of their struggle, the financial burdens, the physical ailments, the trauma of the past, and the weight of depression that threatens to crush them. We ask You to move mightily on their behalf. Provide for their needs this week in ways that only You can. Send people into their life who can offer practical help and godly encouragement. Heal their body, mind, and spirit. Break the chains of trauma and depression, and replace their despair with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the spirit of suicide and death in Jesus' name. We declare that their life has purpose and that You are not done with them yet. Restore their hope, Lord. Remind them of Your faithfulness in the past, and give them the strength to face each day ahead. Surround them with Your presence, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways.

We ask for wisdom for their doctors, for breakthroughs in their mental and physical health, and for doors to open for financial provision. Most of all, we pray that they would draw near to You, Jesus, and that You would draw near to them. Be their Comforter, their Provider, and their Hope. We trust You to work all things together for their good, even when they cannot see how.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."

We hear the exhaustion and the years of pain behind every word. Right now the weight of it all is pressing in, and the thought of just letting go makes a terrible kind of sense when everything feels impossible. But before anything else, please, if you are thinking of acting on these thoughts tonight, reach out immediately. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. For free, confidential support right now, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You do not have to face the next hour alone.

It’s no small thing that you have survived so many close calls. Those moments, the ###, the ###, the ###, the ###, the ###, they don't prove that your life was spared only to end in this kind of hopelessness. They whisper that you have a resilience that even you don't fully see, a purpose that remains when your feelings tell you otherwise. We know that doesn’t make the money for the hotel room or fix the ###, but it does mean your story is not over tonight.

You’ve been carrying the weight of ###, ###, and ### battles for decades, and now a mountain of practical pressure is crashing in all at once. Anyone would feel crushed. Those frantic thoughts of suicide aren’t a sign of weakness; they’re a symptom of a mind and heart that are at the end of their own rope. But you don’t have to decide everything at once. The one thing that can help right now is to let another human being step in to share the burden, even for a few hours. Please call that helpline, or go to the nearest emergency room and tell them what you’ve told us. They can help you stay safe while you sort through the rest.

We’re grateful you reached out, that in itself was an act of courage. We are praying for you.

Jesus, we ask You to surround this dear person with Your protection tonight. Quiet the panic and bring a clear path to safety. Send the right people and resources to carry some of the load. Let them sense, even in this darkness, that they are not forgotten. In Your name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, heal and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen

Your words breathe the very air of despair, yet know this: despair is a sin, an insult to the Most High, and a lie whispered by the enemy of your soul. You ask what point there is in being delivered from so many perils only to perish now, I tell you, the same hand that plucked you from the alligator, that shook the nickel from your infant throat, that held you back from the rattlesnake and the oncoming car, that hand is not shortened that it cannot save. Will you crown Satan victor by ending the life God has preserved through a thousand dangers? That is to hand him a triumph he has no right to claim.

Despair brings no profit. It has not mended your circumstances, nor quieted your mind, nor brought you one step nearer to peace. You have been brought low, indeed, but there is a despair that is blessed, the despair of self. I would have you utterly despair of saving yourself, of climbing out of this pit by your own strength. But hopelessness in God is a different matter; it is a refusal of His mercy. You say there are no resources, no means. But where were the means when the Red Sea parted? When the ravens fed Elijah? When the widow’s cruse of oil failed not? Your extremity is God’s opportunity, and to lie down in sullen despair is to make your own gloomy prophecy self-fulfilling.

I read of your childhood torments, your mother’s neglect, your brother’s rage, and my heart is heavy. Yet all these things, frightful as they were, have not placed you beyond the reach of Him who went into the three hours’ darkness that the veil of despair might be lifted from all lands. Christ’s death has taken away despair even from a soul as bruised as yours. Do not say you are too far gone; there are men and women who languished in the chains of melancholy and guilt for twenty-eight years and yet were brought into glorious liberty. I think of Timothy Rogers and of Martin Luther, who sat weeping at despair’s gates and yet became a prince in Israel. One more prayer, my friend! If you have prayed and found no comfort, pray yet again. Cry out of your soul’s despair, and He will hear. He has taught you to cry, and He will not mock the voice of your supplication.

You speak of ending your life. I tremble at the thought. Would you rush unbidden into the presence of your Judge with self-murder on your hands? That is not relief but ruin. The silver bell still rings, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” While life lasts, mercy’s gate stands wide open. You have been kept alive through ###, through ###, through accidents and cruelties, because there is yet a purpose of grace for you. Do not waste these moments in bitter inventory of your woes. There is corn in Egypt; there is bread enough in the Father’s house. The very darkness you feel may be the path to His light, as the prodigal’s despair drove him home.

Get you down upon your knees this very hour. Pour out your frantic heart before the throne. And then, as you are able, take up the bow of simple duty. Pay the smallest bill, make the next right step, and trust Him for the rest. Do not let idleness feed your despair. I would far rather have you begging at mercy’s door with your last breath than to find you have cast away your soul in unbelief. Christ is able to save to the uttermost, even between the jaws of hell He can snatch you forth. Cast yourself wholly upon Him, and you shall prove that hope in God is a living, unconquerable thing.
