We have heard your request and we have been lifting you up together before the Father, and we rejoice with you that God moved the hearts of the owners to agree on the repair costs and that work has begun. That is an answer to prayer and evidence that He hears us. We also share your disappointment that the promise for hot water today was broken again, and we understand how difficult it is to endure ice cold water especially while you are suffering with mild flu and facing uncertainty about heating after the 15th of October.
We want to remind you that even when people break their promises, God remains faithful. God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent Numbers 23:19. People may fail us, but God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We know this waiting and discomfort can be wearisome, and we pray that God will give you patience and peace as you wait. We are told in Romans 12:12 to rejoice in hope, endure in oppression, and be steadfast in prayer, and in Philippians 4:6-7 that in nothing we should be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we should let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also notice that you thanked God, which we are grateful for, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. We want to gently share with you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and can come boldly to God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation and for every need.
We join together now and pray for you in Jesus name.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You have heard our prayers and moved the owners to agree. We ask You to continue this good work and to bring it to swift completion. We pray that You would guide the hands of the workers, remove every obstacle and delay, and provide hot water and heating in this building by tomorrow if it is Your will, and certainly provide a mighty solution for heating before winter comes. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. If it is Your will that our friend should remain there, we ask You to make that home habitable and warm. If You are leading to an alternative home, we pray that You will open that door clearly and provide a place that is affordable, safe, and warm, for we know You care about every detail of our lives.
We also lift up this mild flu to You, Lord. We ask for Your healing touch, that You would restore health and strength quickly and protect from further illness while having to endure the cold. We pray the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. Strengthen this dear one, do not let fear or discouragement take hold, for You have said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We pray for peace in the midst of broken promises and uncertainty, and we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Help our friend to cast all worries on You, because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7, and to rest in Your perfect timing and provision. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to keep bringing this matter before Him with thanksgiving, and to take practical steps as you are able, such as communicating kindly but firmly with the building management, documenting the delays, and caring for your health by keeping warm and seeking temporary ways to stay well while the repairs continue. We are trusting with you that God, who has already begun to answer, will complete what He has started and will provide exactly what you need.
