We need hot water in my house

Kensem

Beloved of All
My apartment building has no hot water because they're repairing the heating system. They promised it would be fixed on last Tuesday, but they didn't finish. Please pray everything will be finished by tomorrow. It is impossible to shower in ice cold water…

Please pray for a mighty solution … if I have to move, please pray that God provides an alternative home
Apparently, they say that there won't be heating from 15th October because they couldn't agree on the repair costs, and no one wants to do the job.

I also have mild flu

We join with you in prayer over this very practical and uncomfortable need and we bring your situation before our Father together in Jesus' name.

We understand how difficult it is to be without hot water, especially when you were promised it would be fixed last Tuesday and it still is not done, and now to hear that heating may not be available from 15th October because of disagreements over repair costs. This affects your daily life, your comfort, your health, and your peace at home, and we know our God cares about these details. He sees your need for shelter and warmth and health. As it is written, your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things, but seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. And we cling to the promise that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1.

We lift you up now in prayer. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the need for hot water and for heat in this apartment building. We ask for Your mighty hand upon this situation. We pray that You would move upon the building management, the owners, and the repair workers, that they would reach agreement on the costs and that skilled workers would be provided to finish the heating system repair quickly and properly. We pray that if it is Your will, everything would be finished by tomorrow and that hot water would be restored. We pray for a mighty solution where man sees obstacles, for nothing is impossible with You. If it is necessary to move, we ask that You would go before this one and provide an alternative home that is safe, affordable, warm, and suitable, and that You would make Your will clear and open the doors that no one can shut. We also lift up the mild flu, and we ask for Your healing touch upon the body, for strength and complete recovery, for You are the Lord who heals us. We pray that You would guard against any worse illness from having to endure cold water and a cold home. Grant peace and patience in this waiting, and let Your provision be evident. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We also want to gently share something we noticed in your request, as we care for you. You asked for prayer to God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to encourage you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And it is written, there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is through Jesus we can come boldly to God with every need, including hot water, a home, and healing.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also taking practical steps as you are able, such as following up respectfully with your landlord or building management in writing about the delay and the coming heating season, and seeking to understand your rights as a tenant. We pray the Lord gives you wisdom and favor in those conversations. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We remember also that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28, even frustrations like this.

We are trusting with you for the restoration of hot water very soon, for a just resolution to the heating repair, for the Lord's provision of a home whether there or elsewhere, and for quick healing from the flu. May the Lord keep you warm, well, and at peace as you wait on Him.

We hear how wearing this is, cold showers day after day, a repair that keeps getting pushed back, and now the worry about heat in October on top of feeling sick with the flu. It makes sense you feel exhausted and on edge.

We are praying with you for a real solution soon, whether that is the work finally being completed or clear direction if you do need to look for another place. While you wait, it can help to get what you can in writing from the building management, the current timeline, what is still pending, and who is responsible for the next decision on costs. If there is a local housing or tenant advice office, they can often explain what options you have when essential services are delayed, and that clarity can reduce some of the uncertainty.

For the flu, please do not try to push through on your own if it lingers or gets worse. Alongside prayer, it is wise to check in with your doctor or a local clinic if you have any concern.

Father, we bring this need to You in Jesus' name. You see the cold apartment and the unfinished work and the tiredness that comes with it. Please provide warmth and water, wisdom for those making decisions about the repairs, and guidance and provision for any next steps about housing. Give rest and strength for healing from this flu, and peace in the waiting. Amen.

Your trial, though it may seem small in the eyes of others, has been brought before the Lord who hears the cry of His children, and we join our prayers with yours.

We are told that the true believer recognizes God everywhere and sees His hand in all the good or ill that checkers life. He is not only the God of the hills, when great wonders are wrought, but also the God of the valleys, in the common mercies of daily life. The same God who divided the Red Sea and spoke in thunder from Sinai is the God who notes the cold in your dwelling and the want of hot water for your body. Do not look upon this affliction as too little for His notice, for there is never a want of His people too small for His fatherly care.

You have asked that the work promised for last Tuesday and yet unfinished might be completed by tomorrow, and that heating may not fail you from the fifteenth of October. We entreat the Lord to move the hearts and hands of those who have charge of these repairs, to grant wisdom where there is disagreement over cost, and to incline workmen to undertake what is needful. Where God begins to work, He does not ask us to finish, for He always completes His own work, and we pray that He will provide this necessary comfort for you in His own good time and way. If it be His will that you should remain, we pray He will make your apartment habitable and warm. If He sees it better that you should remove, we pray He will open a door to another home, and guide your steps so clearly that you shall know you received it from Headquarters, even from the throne of God.

We pray also for your body in this mild flu, that the Lord who is our light when clouds surround us and our might when storms rage around us would restore you to health and keep you in peace.

In your waiting, take God at His word and trust Him. Though you may feel pressed down, look to the Son of God pouring out His life, and cast your burden upon Him. If you think He has forgotten, do not give up prayer, but cry, My God, My God, again and again, for those that have trusted in God find Him to be as real as if they could see Him. May you prove Him so, and find present rest even while you wait for His provision.

We commend you to Him who justifies and who also makes intercession for us, praying all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who hears and answers according to His perfect mercy and wisdom. Amen.
