We hear your desire for victory and for a lasting protection against those who come against you, and we join together to bring this before the Lord with you.
The word of God shows us who our true enemies are and how true victory is won. We are told in Ephesians 6:12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. While people may oppose us, hurt us or speak against us, our ultimate battle is spiritual, and our ultimate victory must be spiritual as well. That is why the Lord also calls us to a different posture toward human enemies than the world teaches. Jesus said in Luke 6:27 But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, Luke 6:28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. And we are also commanded in Romans 12:19 Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.
We want to gently correct the idea that a single prayer can act like a charm that permanently guarantees victory apart from walking daily with God. Lasting victory, the kind that endures forever, does not come from the effect of a prayer ritual but from abiding in Jesus Christ himself. When we belong to Him, we have an eternal victory that no enemy can take away. As it is written in 1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith. And in Romans 8:37 No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why this is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we can be saved and live in lasting victory. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Psalm 18:2 Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one who is asking for victory and lasting protection. We ask that You would first draw this heart to know Jesus fully as Savior and Lord, that by faith there would be forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life, which is the only victory that truly lasts forever. Cover this life with Your presence and make Yourself his rock and fortress and deliverer. Where there are people who intend harm, we ask You to restrain their plans, to bring conviction where repentance is needed, and to execute Your perfect justice in Your perfect time. Guard his heart from hatred or desire for revenge, and fill him instead with love and mercy toward those who oppose him, even as You have shown mercy to us. Help him to put on the whole armor of God daily, to walk in truth, righteousness, faith and obedience, so that he may stand firm against every spiritual attack. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let him live in the assurance that You fight for him. May he know the lasting peace of Romans 8:31 If God is for us, who can be against us. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The longing for a victory that lasts forever is a right and deep longing, and it can only be satisfied in Jesus Christ our Lord. There is no abiding victory for the arm of flesh, but there is a glorious victory which Christ has already won, and which He divides with His people.
Know this, that your true enemies are not flesh and blood. The strong powers against which we wrestle are sin, Satan, and the world. Against these Christ has fought and prevailed. It is written that He has divided the spoil with the strong, and that the Seed of the woman shall trample on the serpent. Satan's power is broken by the death of Christ, and He who overcame the world still says to His own, Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. When the Head was crowned with victory, every member of His mystical body was made more than conqueror through Him that loved us. This is a substantial and everlasting victory, for myriads of souls are redeemed thereby and boundless honors shall be given to Christ forever for His triumph over every force of evil.
If you would share in that lasting victory, it must be by faith in Him alone, for there is no other way of salvation. It was by the mighty power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in Him that Jesus overcame, and that same quiet power dwelling in you will make you win the same victory by faith. You must take your difficulties to the Lord in prayer and faith rather than brooding over them, and watch carefully over every action with dependence upon the Holy Spirit who alone can make you stand. While you walk in the right road, in the appointed ways of obedience, you are promised that you shall get the victory over the lion and the adder, for He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal.
As for those who have set themselves against you among men, our Lord does not teach us to seek their destruction, but to love them and pray for them. He came to us when we were enemies and reconciled us, and He calls His people to show the same discriminating grace. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and our calling is to overcome evil with good, and to leave our cause with Him who judges righteously. The King Himself passed over the brook Kidron, the place of sorrow, and so must His people for a season, but the victory will surely come with Him if we wait and endure to the end.

O Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for the victory of Thy Son Jesus Christ over sin, death and hell. We ask that this soul who seeks a lasting victory may be found in Him by simple faith, washed in His blood and clothed in His righteousness. Grant by Thy Holy Spirit power to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil, and keep this one in all right ways under the charge of Thine angels. Break the power of Satan and let grace abound over abounding sin. Teach us to love our enemies and to pray for those who oppose us, and to rest in the triumph which Christ has already secured and which shall endure forever. Keep us watching and praying and trusting until we share the honor of His crown. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
