Victory against my enemies

We hear your cry for lasting victory over your enemies, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God. The Bible assures us that the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s, and He is mighty to save. "The Lord is a man of war. The Lord is his name" (Exodus 15:3). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

First, we must address the heart behind this request. While it is natural to desire protection and triumph over those who oppose you, we must ensure our hearts are aligned with God’s will. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we tolerate evil or injustice, but we trust God to be our defender and judge. "Do not say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for the Lord, and he will save you" (Proverbs 20:22). Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will repay (Romans 12:19).

We also want to remind you that our ultimate victory is found in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not confessed Him as Lord, we pray you would do so today. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Now, let us pray together for your lasting victory:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up [blank] to You, asking that You would be his shield and fortress. Lord, You are the God who fights for Your children, and we ask that You would arise on his behalf. Let every plan and scheme of the enemy be thwarted, and let Your perfect will be done in his life.

Father, we declare that no weapon formed against [blank] shall prosper. We bind every spirit of fear, oppression, and intimidation in the name of Jesus. We loose Your peace, Your protection, and Your power over his life. Let Your angels encamp around him, guarding him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11).

Lord, we ask that You would give [blank] a heart of forgiveness and love, even toward those who oppose him. Help him to trust in You as his defender and to release any bitterness or desire for revenge into Your hands. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in wisdom, discernment, and the fear of the Lord.

We pray for lasting victory, not just for a moment, but for all the days of his life. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your truth prevail in every situation. May [blank] walk in the authority and power of Jesus Christ, knowing that greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Father, we also pray for his enemies. Soften their hearts, Lord, and turn them from their ways. Let them see the error of their actions and come to repentance. May Your grace and mercy abound in every situation.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that Your victory is eternal. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you. Continue to seek Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6). Walk in the authority of Christ, and let His peace guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). The victory is already yours in Jesus!

We hear the raw ache in your request, the longing for a victory that truly lasts. When we feel surrounded by opposition, it is exhausting, and the desire for permanent peace is entirely human. You are not alone in wanting these battles to end.

We have found that the deepest, most lasting triumph is not won by our own strength but born in a heart that entrusts its whole cause to God. Think of the Psalms, where the writer often cries out against enemies yet always lands in a place of resting in God’s justice. That is where your own soul can find steady ground. Instead of carrying the weight of “overcoming” on your shoulders, you can pour out every frustration and fear to Jesus and ask Him to be your defender. He sees everything, and His justice, though it may unfold in ways we do not expect, is final and complete.

A small next step might be, this week, to take one Psalm that honestly deals with enemies (like Psalm 3 or 27) and make it your own. Read it slowly and let its words shape your prayers, not as a magical formula but as a way to realign your heart with God’s. As you do, the posture of constantly looking over your shoulder for enemies can begin to be replaced by a growing trust that God is your shield and your vindicator. In Christ, you already share in an unshakeable victory that nothing and no one can undo.

Please join us as we pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one who is weary from facing enemies. Surround them with Your strong protection and grant them the peace that You alone can give. Bring Your righteous justice to bear on every situation, in Your perfect way and timing. Quiet their heart with the knowledge that You fight for them, and let the rest You provide be a lasting anchor for their soul. In Your powerful name we pray, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

The cry for victory against enemies, and for that victory to endure for ever, is a cry that finds its only answer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Consider this: "Jesus wins the victory, but He will not enjoy it alone, He will glorify His people." What triumph can you claim for yourself? If you are in Him, then "when Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, was victorious over the foe, every member of His Mystical Body, even the most uncomely, was, virtually, a conqueror in the conquering Head!"

You desire a lasting conquest, an eternal effect from this prayer. Then you must lay hold not on a transient overthrow of human adversaries, but on the gift which Christ alone bestows. "It is in the power of Christ to give this eternal life... to as many as You have given Him." If your soul has received this life, then "if God has given you eternal life, fear not the surrounding hosts of Hell nor the temptations of the world, for the eternal God is your refuge, and underneath you are the everlasting arms!" The victory that endures for ever is bound up in that eternal life; it cannot die, for "eternal" means "without end."

Yet be watchful, for there is a dire warning. To stand outside of Christ is to be numbered among "the enemies of the Cross of Christ." Those who cling to their own way and their own sin, no matter their outward show, are in a perilous state. "Otherwise we may well weep over you that you should die in your sins." The mere existence of the soul is never-ending, but "it will be no gift to the ungodly that it will be so!"

Therefore, seek the true, substantial victory. Christ "shall trample on the serpent," and "as the result of Christ's death, Satan's power will be broken." If you would see your enemies vanquished for ever, flee to the Conqueror and be found in Him. The eternal purpose of God stands firm: "all the powers of evil, both of earth and Hell, shall never be able to thwart the Eternal Mind as to the salvation of any of those whom He has predestinated unto eternal life." Let your one prayer be to know God, and to accept Him as your God, for that is eternal life. Then shall you share in the spoil with the Strong One, and find that of His victory there is no end.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for victory against your enemies, but consider what the true victory is. If you become a wolf, striking back and seeking their harm, you drive away the Shepherd who cares for His sheep. He feeds not wolves, but sheep, and if you pursue vengeance, He withdraws His help and you are defeated, no matter how much you seem to prevail. The victory that lasts forever is not won by crushing those who oppose you, but by bearing wrongs with patience and gentleness. When you refuse to enter the conflict and instead entrust yourself to God, you conquer in a way that no earthly triumph can match.

Do not pray against your enemies or desire their downfall, for that is to taste of their flesh in your heart. Christ commands nothing impossible: His apostles and saints loved their enemies so deeply they would have given up heaven itself for them. This is the victory that endures, the victory of love. Your battle is not for earthly riches or revenge, but for heavenly things. The enemy seeks to despoil you of eternal blessings by tempting you to hatred. But if you love those who wrong you, you share in Christ's own triumph, who reconciled us when we were His enemies.

Instead of asking for lasting victory over others, pray for a heart that forgives and a spirit that overcomes evil with good. Fast and pray, not against your enemies, but for your own deliverance from the luxury of anger and pride, which give the devil his foothold. True victory is not overreaching or smiting, but standing firm in love, and this alone the Shepherd crowns with life that never ends.
