We have read your urgent cry and we join with you in bringing this deep pain and sense of injustice before the Lord together in Jesus name, for He sees all that has been done and He hears the cry of those who suffer.
We understand you have been treated very badly and you believe many other patients have also been harmed, and you are longing for justice, accountability, and for this wrong to be stopped. The Lord cares deeply about justice and about your suffering. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 103:6 says Yahweh executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed. We weep with you over what you have endured and we pray for your healing in body, mind and spirit.
We also want to gently share what Scripture teaches about how we seek justice. It is right to desire that truth be revealed and that those in authority act righteously to protect others. Isaiah 1:17 says Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Proverbs 21:15 says It is joy to the righteous to do justice. Luke 8:17 says For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. It is right to pray that the truth would be fully exposed and that proper authorities, including medical boards and the legal system which God has ordained, would act with wisdom and integrity. Romans 13:1 and Romans 13:4 remind us that authorities are servants of God for good, to bring justice where wrong has been done.
Yet Scripture also teaches us to guard our hearts against vengeance and bitterness, and to leave ultimate punishment in God's hands. Romans 12:19 says Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:17 says Repay no one evil for evil. Hebrews 12:15 warns us to watch lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled. Even when we have been deeply wronged, Jesus calls us to a different posture toward those who have harmed us. Matthew 5:44 says Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. This does not mean we excuse wrongdoing or do not seek lawful accountability, it means we ask God to do what is just and also to bring conviction that leads to repentance, rather than praying from a desire for personal revenge or for shaming a person beyond what is just.
We also hear your prayer quoting ask and you will receive. That promise is true, and 1 John 5:14 helps us understand it more fully, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. James 4:3 also reminds us that we must ask with right motives. God delights to give justice and provision, but He does so according to His perfect wisdom and timing, not always with no delay as we might wish. Psalm 27:14 says Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says He has made everything beautiful in its time.
We also understand your desire for your solicitors to take your case without charge and for full financial restoration and abundant compensation. It is not wrong to seek lawful restitution for loss and suffering, and we will pray with you for favor and for honest help. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray that God would provide for your needs and guide you to trustworthy counsel, but we also encourage you to release any thought that compensation must be a specific amount or more than you can imagine to be satisfied, and instead trust God to provide what is truly just and good for you.
So together we pray.
Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. You see our sister or brother's pain, You know every detail of what this surgeon has done, and You know the suffering of every patient involved. Lord, we ask that Your perfect justice and truth would prevail. Expose what needs to be exposed, let what has been done in secret be brought to light, and move upon those in authority who oversee medical practice and the law to investigate thoroughly and act righteously and without partiality. We pray You would protect future patients from harm and stop any pattern of rudeness, dismissiveness, arrogance and gaslighting. We pray that if this surgeon has done wrong, he would be held accountable according to the law and according to Your righteousness, and that any license or position would be dealt with as is truly just, not from our wrath but from Your justice.
Lord, we also pray for this dear one's heart. Heal the wounds that have been left, comfort the brokenness, and keep bitterness from taking root. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, while still seeking what is right, and help us to desire repentance and restoration where possible more than revenge. We pray for the surgeon as well, that You would mightily convict him of any wrongdoing, bring him to humility and to his knees before You in repentance, that he might turn from any harmful ways and seek to do what is right. Matthew 6:14 reminds us of Your call to forgive.
Father, we lift up the legal needs. Guide this one to honest and capable solicitors, grant favor, wisdom and clear direction, and if it is Your will, provide a way for the case to be taken on without burden and for lawful restitution to be made. We ask for provision, for peace that surpasses understanding, and for strength to wait on Your timing. Let justice roll on like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream, as Amos 5:24 says.
We thank You that we can come only through Jesus. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are grateful that our prayers are heard because of Jesus Christ and His shed blood for us.
We ask all this according to Your will, trusting Your power and Your mercy, and we wait expectantly for You to act for good and for justice. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek godly counsel, document what has happened truthfully, and pursue proper channels for a medical complaint and legal advice, while daily casting your cares upon the Lord, for 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We are praying with you for truth, for protection for others, for healing, and for God's perfect justice to be done in His time and way.
