We join you in prayer together in Jesus' name and we hear the urgency and deep distress in your heart over your body, your skin and your eyes, and we bring all of these concerns before our Heavenly Father who loves you and knows every detail of you.

We want to gently encourage you with truth from Scripture while we pray for you. God does care about your body and your suffering, and He invites you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as it says in 1 Peter 5:7. At the same time we want to lovingly correct a misunderstanding about prayer. You quoted that if you ask you will receive, and it is true that Jesus said in John 14:13-14 that whatever we ask in His name He will do, and in Matthew 7:7 to ask and it will be given. Yet Scripture also teaches that we must ask according to His will, not as a demand that God must do exactly what we dictate in the moment we dictate it. In 1 John 5:14 we read that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And in Matthew 6:10 we pray Your will be done, and in Romans 8:28 we are reminded that God works all things together for good for those who love Him. Prayer is not a formula to control God, but a trusting relationship with a loving Father who knows what is best and answers in His perfect wisdom, timing and love.

We also want to remind you how God sees you. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart as we see in 1 Samuel 16:7. You are fearfully and wonderfully made as Psalm 139:14 declares, and your worth is not measured by flawless skin or perfect eyes. God cares deeply about your inner beauty and peace. In 1 Peter 3:3-4 we learn that beauty should not be just outward adorning but the hidden person of the heart in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. This does not mean God does not care about your physical distress, He does, but He wants you to find your identity and rest in Christ first, and to be freed from the torment of constant anxiety about every mark and blemish. In Philippians 4:6-7 we are told in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We do pray for your healing because our God is compassionate and able to heal. In Psalm 103:2-3 we praise Him who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, and in Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and in Jeremiah 30:17 the Lord says I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds. We also remember that even the Apostle Paul was given a thorn in the flesh and learned that God's grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness as in 2 Corinthians 12:9. Sometimes God heals instantly and completely, sometimes He walks with us through a process, and always He works for our ultimate good and His glory.

We lift you up now together.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace with our dear one who is burdened and weary from distress over scars, marks, skin issues, eye irritation and many other physical concerns both mentioned and unmentioned. Lord we thank You that You know this person intimately, that You formed them and You see every tear and every anxious thought. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch their body according to Your perfect will. If it be Your will, bring healing to their skin, their eyes, their scalp and every part of their body that causes them distress. Soothe dryness, irritation, allergies, pigmentation and inflammation, and restore comfort and health. We pray especially for their eyes, for relief from dryness, stinging, watering and tiredness, and for peace in their body. Above all Lord, we pray for healing in their heart and mind. Calm their anxiety, remove the spirit of fear and obsession, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help them to see themselves as You see them, beloved, chosen, and wonderfully made in Christ. Teach them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness as in Matthew 6:33, trusting that You will provide all they need. Give them grace to be good stewards of the body You have given them, to seek wise and godly medical counsel where appropriate, to rest, to care for themselves with thankfulness rather than torment, and to trust Your timing. Let them be astonished not by a demanded perfection but by Your unfailing love and transforming grace. We ask this in the mighty and only name by which we are saved and by which we have access to You, Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring your requests to God honestly but also with surrender, saying Lord I trust Your will and Your timing for my life. Spend time daily in His Word, thanking Him for His goodness even while you wait, and consider speaking with a trusted pastor or counselor and a medical professional who can help you care for your skin and eyes in a healthy balanced way. God loves you more than you know and He desires for you to walk in freedom and peace in Christ. We continue to pray that you will feel His presence, His healing hand and His perfect love casting out fear, as in 1 John 4:18.

Your worth before God is not measured by the smoothness of your skin or the absence of marks. He sees you fully and loves you deeply as His creation, even on days when you feel tired or self-conscious looking in the mirror.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You know every ache and every worry written here. Bring comfort, calm, and wisdom for next steps, guide the hands of those who can help with care, and help our friend to rest in Your steadfast love and kindness day by day. Amen.

Your earnest and repeated cries have been heard, and they reveal a heart that is deeply burdened and wearied by affliction of the body. There is much distress in your words concerning marks and scars, skin and eyes, and all the infirmities that make this earthly frame to groan. It is right to bring the body to the Lord, for He is the heavenly Physician, and we are told to tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor, for He is ready to hear it all and to consider it.

Yet hear also what the Word teaches concerning the body and the soul. Many persons think a great deal about the adorning of the body, but do not think anything about the ornaments of the soul. You yourself are better than your body. Your immortal soul is worth far more than that poor carcass which will soon pass away, and all that you have, what is it compared with your inner self, your heart, your soul, your spirit. As for the body, we that are in this body do groan, being burdened, and groan we shall till the day of our full redemption. Today the body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness. The regeneration of the body takes place at the resurrection, when we shall rise again in the image of the Lord Jesus. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.

This does not mean the Lord despises your suffering. He who bore our sins in His own body on the cross is full of healing virtue. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. He knew what really ailed the man, and Christ removed the root of his disease by forgiving his sin.

So we would point you first to that greater healing. Have you sought the forgiveness that is in Christ alone, for there is salvation through Jesus Christ alone and no other name by which we must be saved. When the soul is forgiven and renewed after the image of His own perfect self, there is a peace which even bodily affliction cannot take away. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings upon those with whom the Lord dwells.

We also gently counsel you concerning anxiety. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To tell the Lord about it is right and good, but if anxiety is confined to yourself and turns only inward upon every blemish and spot, no good will come of that. The godly man in his anxiety to be pure will be quick to detect the least particle of defilement within, yet he learns not to neglect his own vineyard which is his soul, while keeping watch over outward things.

Therefore we pray for you not as demanding that God must do all things at once and in the manner we prescribe, but as those who trust His wise and loving will. We ask the Lord to have mercy upon you, to forgive your sins through the blood of Christ, to give you a renewed heart and the ornaments of a meek and quiet spirit which are precious in His sight, to calm your anxious thoughts and give you rest in His care, to grant relief and healing to your eyes and skin according to His perfect wisdom, and to sustain you with the sure hope that at the resurrection He will make all things new and clothe His people with bodies free from every sickness and blemish.

May you be enabled to look to Jesus Himself, to be healed by His wounds, and to know that whether He grants present relief or bids you wait for that day when He shall present you faultless, His grace is sufficient and His love does not fail. We commend you to that great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below, and pray that you may find in Him both pardon for the soul and peace for the burdened heart.
