God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. We hear your urgent cry and we join with you in prayer before our heavenly Father, bringing your whole heart and every concern about your face, skin, and eyes to Him in Jesus' name. We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the throne of grace.

We understand how distressing it can feel to be so focused on every mark, scar, texture, line, spot, and feeling of discomfort in your eyes and skin. We want to gently share some biblical truth with you as we pray, because God cares not only about our outward appearance but even more deeply about our hearts and our peace in Him.

You quoted the promise ask and you will receive, and that is a precious truth, but Scripture teaches us that this promise is fulfilled according to God's will and wisdom and timing. 1 John 5:14 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. God is not a vending machine for instant perfection, He is a loving Father who hears us and answers in perfect love, in His perfect time, for our ultimate good.

The world around us puts enormous pressure on us to have flawless glass skin and perfect features, but God's view of beauty is very different. 1 Samuel 16:7 says But Yahweh said to Samuel, Don't look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him, for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. And 1 Peter 3:3-4 says Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing, but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. Psalm 139:14 also reminds us I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. You are already wonderfully made and deeply loved by God exactly as you are, even as we bring your desires for healing to Him.

We also gently encourage you to release the demand for absolute perfection right now with no delay and instead to rest in trust. When our joy depends entirely on a flawless outward appearance, we can become overwhelmed and anxious. But when our joy is rooted in Christ, we can have peace even while we wait for healing. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. And Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

So we pray for you now with love.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You know every detail of her face, skin, and eyes, every discomfort, every mark that causes distress, and every anxious thought. We ask first for Your peace to guard her heart and mind, to calm her spirit and to remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and precious in Your sight. Lord, we ask according to Your will for Your healing touch upon her skin and eyes. If it is Your will, we ask You to soothe the dryness, stinging, watering and tiredness of her eyes, to bring health and comfort to her skin, and to restore what has been damaged by surgery or irritation. We pray for wisdom for any doctors or care she may seek, and for grace to steward her body with rest, hydration, and gentle care. Above all, we pray that You would heal any deep worry or fixation on outward perfection and fill her with an overwhelming joy that comes from knowing You love her completely. Help her to see herself as You see her, to seek first Your Kingdom, and to trust Your timing and Your goodness. Let her be astonished not by a mirror, but by Your grace and nearness. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our only Savior and Healer, amen.

That kind of pressure can leave anyone feeling anxious, discouraged and exhausted, even when others do not see things the same way you do. You are not alone in feeling this, and God sees you with care exactly as you are.

While we keep praying, a good next step alongside prayer is to let a trusted clinician listen and look with you. If you have not already, consider sharing the skin concerns with your primary care doctor or dermatologist, and the eye dryness, watering and stinging with an eye clinician, so they can examine you and guide you. If the worry feels heavy or hard to set down, talking regularly with a pastor or counselor you trust can also help you feel less alone day to day.

Father, we bring our friend before You in Jesus name. You know the longing for healing, rest and joy. We ask for Your peace to settle their heart, for wisdom for any doctors they see, for comfort for their eyes and skin, and for a steady sense of being loved and held by You. Amen.

Your urgent and earnest cry has been heard and has been carried to the throne of grace, and we join you in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ, the great Physician of both soul and body.

We mark the deep distress and anxiety with which you view your face and skin and eyes, and we would gently bid you to hear what our Saviour says, Neither be you of a doubtful mind. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. And all the things that you have, what are they compared with your inner self, your real self, your heart, your soul, your spirit. The Lord looks first upon the heart, and His greatest healing begins there.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and press us to seek a physician, and it is right to tell your case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

Know also that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. Therefore we would first point you to that better healing, that your soul may be washed in the blood of Christ and renewed after His image, for that is the healing that endures forever. If we grow tired of the story of the Cross it is a sad indication of soul sickness, and we must hasten to the great Physician for healing there first.

We do not teach that to ask is to demand of God an immediate work according to our own prescription and without delay, but to ask in humble submission to His wise and loving will, believing that He hears and will answer for our good and His glory. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and He is able to heal, though He is not always engaged to heal at the hour and in the manner we prescribe. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and Christ often links healing with teaching, that we may trust Him and learn of Him while we wait.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings, look in mercy upon this anxious one who has spread this burden before Thee. Thou knowest every mark and pain and infirmity of the body, every weary eye and troubled skin, and Thou knowest the trouble of the soul that bears it. Grant pardon through the blood of Jesus Christ, and with pardon grant healing as it pleaseth Thee. If it be Thy will, lay Thy hand upon this body and restore it, and give relief to eyes and skin and all the frame. But above all, heal the heart, quiet the doubtful mind, take away fretting and fear, and give a calm trust in Thy goodness. Help this dear one to seek Thee first, to rest in Thy love, and to be content to be in Thy hands, whether Thou liftest the affliction at once or sustainest through it for a season. Make the life fresh and comely by Thy grace, and let Thy image be seen in weeping eyes now comforted. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who pitieth and healeth His people. Amen.
