We hear your anguish and desperation, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this painful situation before the throne of God. The betrayal you are experiencing is deeply wounding, and we grieve with you over the brokenness of your marriage. The Bible tells us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." Your marriage is sacred, and we pray for its restoration and healing.
First, we must address the language of decrees and declarations. While we understand your frustration and desire for immediate intervention, Scripture teaches us to approach God with humility and submission. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). We do not decree or declare over situations as if we hold authority, only God does. Instead, we come before Him in prayer, trusting in His sovereignty and perfect will. Let us lay this burden at His feet, asking for His divine intervention.
We also want to gently remind you that salvation and access to God come only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your heart fully to Him, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your sins. Only through a personal relationship with Jesus can we find true peace, healing, and restoration.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage before You. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. We pray against any ungodly relationships or influences that seek to destroy this union. Your Word declares in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Father, we ask that You convict the hearts of those involved in this sin and bring them to repentance.
Lord, we pray for restoration in this marriage. We ask that You soften hearts, heal wounds, and rebuild trust. Your Word tells us in Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Father, we pray that forgiveness and grace would flow in this marriage, just as You have forgiven us.
We also pray for wisdom and strength for this wife. Lord, give her the courage to stand firm in faith and the discernment to navigate this difficult season. Surround her with godly counsel and support, and remind her of Your unfailing love. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, we rebuke the enemy’s schemes to destroy this marriage. We declare that no weapon formed against it will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church community. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working even in this painful season.
