We hear the deep pain and anger in your heart, and we come before the Lord with you in this moment of distress. The hurt caused by this individual, especially in a position of care, is grievous, and we stand with you in seeking justice. However, we must also bring this before God with a heart aligned to His will, for vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19, WEB). Let us pray together, surrendering this burden to the One who sees all and judges righteously.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the injustice done to this dear one and to others who have been wronged. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. We pray for conviction to fall upon this person, not just for their actions, but for the hardness of heart that allowed such harm to be done. Let Your Holy Spirit bring them to a place of repentance, that they may turn from their ways and seek Your forgiveness.

Father, we ask for Your protection over those who have been hurt. Heal their wounds, both seen and unseen, and restore what has been broken. Give them peace that surpasses understanding, and let them know that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

Lord, we also pray for justice in this matter. If this person has broken laws or ethical boundaries, we ask that the appropriate authorities would act with wisdom and integrity. Let no evil go unchecked, but also let mercy temper justice where repentance is found.

We rebuke any spirit of bitterness or unforgiveness that may take root in this situation. Help this dear one to release their anger into Your hands, trusting that You will repay (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). Remind them that holding onto wrath only harms the one who carries it, while forgiveness, though difficult, brings freedom.

Father, we declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We stand in faith, believing that You will work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28, WEB). Strengthen this one in their faith, and let them see Your hand moving in this situation.

Lastly, Lord, we pray for this individual’s salvation if they do not know You. May they come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, who died for their sins and rose again so that they might have eternal life (John 3:16, WEB). Only through Christ can true transformation occur.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is just and true, and who will one day make all things right. Amen.

Now, dear one, we encourage you to release this burden fully into God’s hands. He sees your pain, and He will not ignore it. Continue to seek Him in prayer, and consider speaking with a trusted pastor or counselor who can walk with you through this healing process. You are not alone, God is with you, and so are we.

We hear the deep hurt and the cry for justice in your words. When someone in a position of trust treats people badly, patients who are already vulnerable, it cuts to the core. It breaks something inside, and it can feel like the only right response is to demand that God step in with severe punishment. That kind of anger often comes from a place of real pain and a longing for things to be made right.

In our own lives, we’ve seen how emotional wounds can fester when they go unexpressed or untreated. The resource we’ve found helpful reminds us that emotional abuse strikes at our very sense of worth and can crush the spirit. The damage outlasts physical injuries, and the desire for the other person to “pay” is a normal reaction, but it can also leave us stuck, reliving the hurt over and over.

God sees exactly what happened, and He cares deeply about your suffering. He is a God of justice, and nothing escapes His notice. While we can’t know the timing or the method He may use to bring about accountability, we can rest in the truth that He will not let evil go unanswered forever. At the same time, we want you to find freedom from the weight of this anger so it doesn’t keep draining you. If you haven’t already, consider talking to a safe person, a pastor, a counselor, or even a patient advocate, about what you endured. Sometimes giving voice to the experience and being believed can start to loosen the hold it has on your heart. If you’re able, reporting the mistreatment might also help protect others and be a step toward reclaiming your own voice.

Lord, we come to You with this heavy burden of pain and frustration. You know every detail of how this person was treated, and You understand the injustice they have faced. We ask that You wrap them in Your comfort right now, quiet their mind and bring peace to their spirit. In Your perfect wisdom, work in the situation and in the heart of the one who caused harm; bring about accountability in Your way and Your time. Protect this dear one from bitterness that can eat away at hope. Restore their sense of dignity and safety, and guide them to the support and healing they need. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who walked the path of suffering and understands. Amen.

The cry for justice you pour out before the throne of grace rings with anguish, yet I bid you consider whether such a prayer rises from love to Christ or from a wounded spirit that seeks its own vindication. The terrors of the Lord do not produce true repentance. When God’s judgments fall upon the ungodly, they gnaw their tongues in pain and blaspheme the God of heaven, but they do not turn from sin. If the Lord were to arrest and punish this man in the way you demand, it might bring a temporary terror, a repentance of the flesh that is still flesh and tends only to corruption, but it would not work that godly sorrow which leads to life. True repentance gives God glory, and it is that for which we must plead, not the mere breaking of a stubborn will under the rod.

Consider the repentance that is saving. It makes a soul weep and abhor its past life because of the love of Christ which pardons it. It is a gift of divine grace, the first fruit of the Spirit’s visitation, not a work extorted by threats. The prayer of a saint should ever be that the goodness of God might lead the sinner to repentance. When we call down fire from heaven, we remember not what manner of spirit we are of. The Lord’s hand can reach any man, in any place, and His justice is unimpeachable; no convinced sinner ever railed against that justice but rather smote his breast and owned himself vile. Let the Lord deal with this offender as He sees fit, for He is sovereign and knows how to wield the sword of justice and the balm of mercy. Yet I ask you, what of your own heart in this matter? Is there here a repentance that looks out of self to Christ, or a bitterness that rejoices in the thought of another’s destruction? A broken spirit is one out of which hypocrisy has gone, and it cries not for the punishment of others but for the cleansing of its own way. Sweet Sister Repentance is charming company, and if she dwells with you, she will teach you to long for this man’s conversion, not his overthrow.

Remember that repentance and remission of sins are joined together. Where there is true repentance, there is full and free forgiveness. If you would see this man brought to his knees, pray rather that he be brought there by a sight of the crucified Savior, not by the terrors of the law alone. The Lord does not drive men to repentance like Cain, a fugitive and a vagabond; He draws them with cords of love. And as for you, examine your own faith and repentance. Does it last, or is it only a fire kindled for a moment by your neighbor’s sin? The truest repentance is that of one who is growing in grace, who sees more and more the guilt of sin as he draws nearer to heaven. Commend your cause to the Judge of all the earth, who does right, and let your soul be more occupied with the wonder that you yourself have been plucked from the pit than with any longing to see another cast into it. Divine sovereignty is a comforting truth to the child of God, for it assures us that every step of the wicked is under the Lord’s restraint, and that even their wrongs against us are part of a deeper purpose. Leave room for the Lord to work, perhaps by a divine interposition far more wondrous than the immediate judgment you seek, even the rescue of a soul from eternal death. So bring before God a broken and a contrite spirit for your own sins, and trust the matter into the hand of Him who judges righteously.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for a man to be arrested, punished, brought to his knees, and broken in every part, and you ask this urgently, in Jesus' name. Yet what spirit speaks in such a prayer? The tongue that cries for vengeance kindles a fire that burns the one who prays more than the one it targets. Anger is a flame, a dart of the devil. It catches, destroys, consumes. Let us quench it by longsuffering and forbearance. When red-hot iron meets water, it loses its fire; so an angry heart meeting patience does no harm to the patient, but rather subdues the wrathful one himself.

You have suffered wrong, as you say, and perhaps others have too. That is not a small thing. But hear what the Scripture teaches: judgment belongs to God, and His punishments are for warning here, or for vengeance hereafter. We do not command Him like a servant to smite our enemies on our schedule. Do you think God needs your urgency to execute justice? Do you wish to stand before Him with such words on your lips, "Punish him now, break him completely", while you yourself have sins unforgiven, awaiting your own accounting?

Consider: if we commit the same offenses as those we condemn, but have received more grace, we deserve a greater punishment. Have you never wronged another? Never spoken harshly? Never harbored bitterness? Then beware, for the measure you give will be measured to you. The loss of God's kingdom is a terror worse than any earthly chastisement. To fall from Christ's glory is more grievous than hell itself. Why risk your own soul by nursing this gall?

I know many tremble only at hell, but the loss of that blessedness is far heavier. If you truly desire good, pray for this man's conviction, not to crush him, but to correct him. "Reprove, rebuke, exhort," says the Apostle. The physician shows the wound, makes the incision, then applies the plaster. If you rebuke without convicting, you seem rash. If you convict and rebuke vehemently without consolation, the labor is lost. So pray rather that his eyes be opened, that he turn from whatever evil he has done, that he be saved, not damned. For where grace is, there is remission; where remission is, no punishment stands. Do you want his blood, or his salvation?

If he has truly sinned, he will answer to the Judge who sees all. But entrust that judgment to the One who "will render to every man according to his works." It is a Satanic reasoning to say, "God is loving, these threats are empty," and equally Satanic to suppose we can hurl God's wrath like a stone. Let us turn the devil's weapons against himself: fight impatience with patience, malice with mercy, and leave wrath to its proper hour. Then, instead of arriving at the harbor with a bilge-filled soul, you may come bearing the merchandise of peace.
