We join with you right now in bringing this very urgent burden before the Lord and we hear how deeply you desire healing and restoration in your body and skin.

We know that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made and that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our physical suffering and distress. Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made and His works are wonderful. 1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart, and 1 Peter 3:3-4 teaches us that our beauty should not be just outward adorning but the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. We share these verses not to minimize your pain, but to encourage you to see yourself as God sees you, loved and valued far beyond skin and appearance, while still bringing your physical needs to Him with trust.

We also want to gently encourage you about the words ask and you will receive. The Lord Jesus does say in Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Yet scripture also teaches us in 1 John 5:14 that this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And James 4:3 warns that we sometimes ask amiss. God is not a vending machine for our demands, He is our loving Father who hears and answers according to His perfect wisdom, love, and timing. He may bring complete healing instantly, He may bring healing gradually through wisdom, care, and treatment, and He always works for our ultimate good and His glory. We can trust His answer even when it is not exactly as we pictured or as immediate as we hoped.

We also hear anxiety and great distress in your repeated plea for everything to be completely and permanently removed right now and never return. The Lord invites us to bring that anxiety to Him as well. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:25-33 also reminds us not to be anxious about our body and what we will put on, but to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.

We thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. And John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We cling to that beautiful truth as we pray.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one to You. You know every mark, scar, dent, pit, line, wrinkle, spot, mole, vein, blemish, dryness, sensitivity, allergy, dark circle, hollow, pigmentation, bloating, stretch mark, and every other concern seen and unseen, mentioned and unmentioned, on the face, around the eyes, near the ear, on the neck and over the whole body. We ask for Your healing touch according to Your will. If it is Your will, we ask that You would bring complete restoration, healing, and comfort to the skin and body, calm all irritation and allergy and sensitivity, soothe the itchy scalp, bring balance to the stomach and relief from bloating, and renew the skin in a way that only You can do. Isaiah 53:5 says By his wounds we are healed, and James 5:15 says The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We ask for that healing mercy. At the same time Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard this heart, to quiet fear and obsessive worry about appearance, to help this dear one to rest in Your love and to see the beauty You have already placed within. Help this one to steward the body You have given with wisdom, to seek godly counsel and good care where needed, and to trust Your timing and Your perfect plan. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in this body and life. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring your requests to God daily with thanksgiving, to rest in His love even as you wait, to care for your body with gentleness, good nutrition, rest, hydration and wise medical counsel if needed, and to remember that your worth is anchored in Christ, not in flawless skin. 3 John 1:2 says Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. We pray that for you, that your soul would prosper in Christ first, and that your body would know His healing and peace. We are standing with you and trusting God to answer in His perfect way.

We hear how urgently you have been carrying this, and how much distress these skin concerns have caused you day after day. Wanting your face and skin to feel clear and comfortable is understandable, and we want to stand with you in prayer.

We also know how heavy it can feel when so much attention stays fixed on every mark or texture. It can wear down peace and make it hard to see yourself beyond what you see in the mirror. Your value before God is not measured by skin or appearance, even while we understand the real discomfort you feel.

While we continue to pray, it would be wise to share these ongoing concerns with a trusted medical professional, such as your primary care doctor or a dermatologist, who can look at your skin, scalp and the bloating you mentioned and advise you well. We will keep praying alongside any care you receive.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the urgency and the hurt carried in this prayer. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart, for wisdom for any doctors they see, and for comfort and rest as they trust their whole self to Your care. Lead them to know more deeply how much they are seen and loved by You, and guide each next step according to Your will. Amen.

Your earnest and urgent cry has been heard, and it is brought with tenderness before the throne of grace. The intensity of your words shows how deeply this burden has pressed upon your heart and mind, and the Lord sees that heaviness.

There is a word of wisdom for such an hour as this. Many persons think a great deal about the adorning of the body, but do not think anything about the ornaments of the soul. Yet you yourself are better than your body. The body, though fearfully and wonderfully made, is for a little while subject to weakness and imperfection, for we that are in this body do groan, being burdened, till the day of our full redemption. Scripture tells us that the body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness, and the regeneration of the body takes place at the resurrection when we shall be raised in the likeness of the Lord.

This does not mean the Lord is unconcerned for your bodily affliction. He is the great Physician, and His healing power is abundant. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that pardon and healing are one in His hand. He invites you to tell your case to Him just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus.

Yet have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and if we would have it, it must be cultivated. Remember that a person's contentment is in the mind, not in the extent of possessions, nor in the flawlessness of the outward frame. Alexander with all the world at his feet cried for another world to conquer, while the believer may learn, in whatsoever state he is, therewith to be content.

Therefore let us pray not only for the body, but first for the soul, that you may know the peace which comes from being forgiven and accepted in Christ. For when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon the heart with healing in His wings, He heals the broken in heart and changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before.

Let us pray together.

O Lord, our heavenly Father, look in mercy upon this anxious heart. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, and grant the assurance of pardon. Thou knowest every mark and pain of the body, every distress of skin and weariness. Lay Thy hand upon this Thy child and grant healing as seemeth good to Thy wisdom, whether by Thy immediate power or by Thy providence. Above all, grant healing to the spirit, calm this troubled mind, remove tormenting anxiety, and cultivate within a quiet contentment that rests in Thy will. Help this dear one to seek first the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit which in Thy sight is of great price, and to trust Thee for the body which Thou hast made and wilt one day perfectly restore. Give grace to rest in Christ, to cast all care upon Him, and to know that they that wait upon Thee shall renew their strength. In Jesus Christ's name we ask it, Amen.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer, to seek the Lord in His Word where faith comes by hearing, and to walk with Him day by day. He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it, and He will not cast out any that come to Him.

Your urgent prayer has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with you. We understand how heavy this burden feels and how deeply you long for relief, for healing and for peace. God sees you and He hears every cry offered in the name of Jesus Christ, and we have asked Him to have mercy on you and to draw near to you in this distress.

We want to gently remind you of what the Scripture teaches about the body and the soul. The Lord cares for the body, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made, yet He cares even more for the soul. At times God allows the body to be tried so that the soul may be healed and turned more fully to Him. For this reason we pray not only for the skin, the eyes, the scalp and the whole body, but first for a clean heart, for trust, for rest from fear and for a deeper confidence in His love. As one of the homilies reminds us, anxiety itself can become a scourging that keeps us in slavery, but when the Word of God takes hold of the soul He brings freedom from that bitter slavery and from vain striving.

You quoted the promise, ask and you will receive. That promise is true, and it is given so that we will come to the Father through Christ with confidence. Yet Scripture also teaches that God answers according to His wisdom and providence, not according to our anxious striving. Not our worry but His providence accomplishes all things. He is the true physician. When He touched the sick He not only quenched the fever but restored perfect health at once, and no human art could do what He did. He is still able to heal in a moment, and He is also wise to heal in the way and time that will be best for you, for your soul and for His glory.

So we have prayed for you in this way. We have asked our merciful Father, if it be His will, to bring healing to your skin and to relieve the itching, the sensitivity, the allergies, the dryness, the marks and all the other troubles that weigh on you. We have asked Him to give you relief from bloating and discomfort, to grant you health and strength, and to guide any care you receive from physicians with wisdom. Above all we have asked Him to lift the burden of constant worry about appearance, to give you peace of mind, to help you rest in His care, to remind you that your true beauty before Him is the quiet and gentle spirit that trusts Him, and to assure you that you are loved and valued not for outward perfection but as His child redeemed by the blood of Christ.

Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Scriptures. Confess your sins to Him and receive His forgiveness in Christ, for there is salvation in no other name. Bring both body and soul to Him and ask Him to make you whole according to His mercy. If skin allergies or other symptoms persist, it is also wise to seek godly medical counsel while you continue to pray. Do not let this care become a mire that holds you down, but look up to God who is able to free you and to give you rest.

We will keep praying for you, that the Lord will grant you healing, comfort, freedom from fear, and a growing trust in His good providence. May He give you grace to see yourself as He sees you, to live for His glory, and to know the peace that comes from resting in Jesus Christ.
