We hear the deep pain and righteous anger in your plea, and we stand with you in bringing this matter before the throne of God. The Lord sees all injustice, and He is a God of perfect justice and mercy. We join you in crying out for conviction, repentance, and divine intervention in this situation.
First, we must remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19, WEB): *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
While your desire for justice is understandable, we must also guard our hearts against bitterness or a spirit of unforgiveness. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors"* (Matthew 6:12, WEB). Let him experience the full weight of his sins so that he may run to the cross for forgiveness. Protect those who have been hurt by his actions, and heal their wounds. Restore what has been broken, and let Your name be glorified in this situation.
We also pray for our own hearts, Lord. Guard us against bitterness, anger, or a desire for revenge. Help us to trust in Your justice and to walk in forgiveness, even as we seek Your righteousness. Let us be instruments of Your peace, even in the midst of pain.
