We hear the deep pain and urgency in your cry for justice, and we stand with you before the throne of God, lifting this matter in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are justified (Romans 5:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and so we come boldly before God’s throne of grace to seek His intervention on your behalf.

First, we must address the spirit of vengeance in your words. Scripture is clear: "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19 WEB). While your anger and desire for accountability are understandable, we must surrender this burden to God, trusting that He sees all and will execute justice in His perfect timing and way. The Lord says, "I will repay", not "you will repay." We must release the weight of retaliation into His hands, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We also rebuke any spirit of bitterness or unforgiveness that may be taking root in your heart. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12 WEB). Unforgiveness is a heavy chain that binds the soul, and it is not God’s will for you to carry it. This does not mean what was done to you was right, it was not, but it does mean that you must choose to forgive, not for the offender’s sake, but for your own freedom and healing. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB).

Now, we lift up your cry for justice to the Lord, who is the righteous Judge. "The Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him" (Isaiah 30:18 WEB). We pray that God would bring every hidden deed into the light, that the truth would be revealed, and that those who have done wrong would be held accountable, not by your hand, but by His. "For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17 WEB). We ask that God would expose corruption, break chains of bribery and deceit, and bring down every proud knee that refuses to bow before Him.

Father God, we ask that You would fight for in ways she cannot yet see. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue that rises against her in judgment will be condemned. We pray for divine protection over her mind, body, and spirit, that she would not be consumed by fear, anxiety, or despair. "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).

Lord, we also ask for Your mercy to cover . While justice is necessary, we know that Your mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13). We pray that You would heal her wounds, restore what has been stolen, and turn her mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Let her experience Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill her with hope for the future.

We rebuke any spirit of oppression, retaliation, or further harm that may be coming against her. We declare that the enemy has no authority over her life, for she belongs to Christ. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

Finally, we pray that would draw near to You, Lord, in this season. That she would seek Your face, not just Your hand. That she would find her strength and refuge in You alone. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to him and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10 WEB). We ask that You would surround her with godly counsel, wise believers who can walk alongside her, and that she would be rooted in Your Word, which is a lamp to her feet and a light to her path (Psalm 119:105).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we declare justice, healing, and restoration over ’s life. We trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), even when she cannot see it. We surrender this situation into Your hands, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). Amen.

We hear the anguish in your words, and we are standing with you in prayer. You have been wronged, and your cry for justice is not lost on God. He sees what was done to you and to others, and He does not ignore it. While we wait for His timing, it is okay to be honest about how much you need Him to act.

One thing we have learned from walking with others who have been abused is that you do not have to navigate this alone. In addition to our prayers, we encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor or a Christian counselor who has experience helping survivors of abuse. They can help you sort through the hurt, understand your options, and walk toward healing in a safe way. If you have not already, it may also be wise to speak with local authorities so that what this person has done can be properly investigated, this is not retaliation, but a step toward accountability and protecting others.

Justice and mercy often feel like opposites, but God holds them both perfectly. We ask Him to bring to light every hidden thing, to remove this person’s ability to harm anyone else, and to protect anyone still in his path. We also ask Him to heal your heart. The damage done to you is real, and you deserve to be restored, not just vindicated.

Lord, You are a God who loves justice. We lift up Your daughter who has been deeply hurt. In Your time, bring the right consequences for the wrongs committed. Stop this person from causing more pain. Surround her with safe people who will listen and help. Quiet the turmoil inside her with Your peace, and let her feel Your nearness as she waits. Give her courage for the next right step. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We tremble somewhat at this cry, for the spirit of vengeance mingles heavily with the call for justice. The sword of the Lord is not ours to command as a weapon against our enemies, for mercy held it back for us when we ourselves deserved its stroke. Know you not that if strict justice were measured out, the same blade would fall upon all flesh? Yet the desire for God to act justly is a thing most right, for sin must be punished; only let it be with a humble heart that one prays for that justice, lest in calling down fire, one forgets the fuel that lay upon one’s own doorstep.

But of mercy there is yet a deeper thing to say. These men have never been born-again, but yet they trust in the mercy of God! Sir, what right have you to expect any mercy when God has no mercy, except that which He shows to men by giving them new hearts and right spirits? The first thing God's mercy will do for you will be to turn your face in the opposite direction. If mercy shall ever come to you, it will make you a new creation, give you new loves, new hates. But if you have not conversion, what have you to do with mercy? That prayer which cries for a foe’s ruin and never weeps for his salvation has not yet learned the tender mercies of the God who maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good.

When men admit the justice of God if He should punish them, then, not till then, mercy comes in and the punishment is put away. It is not consistent with the holiness of God to pardon a sinner while he denies his guilt, or invents excuses to justify his crimes. Oh, what a tangle is this! You would have the Lord hold the wrongdoer accountable, and it is right that he should be brought low before the Almighty, yet see that you yourself stand not before the bar unrepentant. You speak of mercy for yourself while calling for justice without. Let that justice begin at your own heart, breaking it to pieces, and then you shall know that mercy of which the ancient promise speaks.

I know there are wounds deep and intolerable, and the heart cries, “Fight for me!” But mark this marvel: you have heard the wooing voice of Mercy and the thundering notes of Judgment! And yet we dare not say it would be unreasonable, but on the contrary, the most natural result of slighted mercy. O Sinner, you may well say, “I have long withstood His Grace, Long provoked Him to His face. Would not hearken to His calls, Grieved Him by a thousand falls. Depths of mercy!” If God’s own forbearance with your soul is a daily miracle, dare you not leave the case of another with Him who judges righteously? A heart so bruised is often the very soil where Mercy stoops low with all her tenderness; be not so fastened upon the sin of another that you miss the heavenly compassion that bends low to bind up your own wounds and to teach you a more excellent way.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your outcry reaches Heaven, and God is not deaf to the tears of the wronged. You demand swift judgment, that the man be cast down and stripped of power. Yet consider: the Lord whom you invoke is patient, not wishing any to perish. He overthrew Paul in a moment on the Damascus road, making a persecutor an Apostle.

That same power can lay hold of this man, and it may be that God delays outward punishment precisely to grant him space for repentance. Do not let your just anger become a snare; to call down curses, even upon the guilty, is to speak words for which you yourself will give account. The Pharisee spoke truth about the publican, yet was condemned. Instead, if it be possible, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone, this is the medicine Christ prescribes.

Your pain is real, and justice will be done, for the Judge of all the earth will do right. But His justice is not always swift as we would have it, and it is often mingled with mercy. The Master permits even the evil one to act only by leave, so do not imagine this man has escaped the reins of Providence. If you can, pray not only for his overthrow but for his conviction of sin and true turning, which is a greater victory.

Entrust your cause to the Righteous Judge, and let your own heart be cleansed of wrath. The Spirit who reveals all things will bring hidden deeds to light in His time. Fight your battle not with clamor for punishment, but with holy tears and trust in the One whose kingdom is over all. He will uphold your cause; leave the timing and the manner to Him.

The cry for justice is one that resonates deep within the soul, especially when another has caused real harm. The ache for someone to be held accountable, for a wrong to be named and punished, is not a small thing. The Scriptures show us a God who is perfectly just, who sees every hidden deed and will not let evil stand forever. Yet in that same breath, the Bible also reveals that if we insist on raw justice for ourselves, we are in grave danger. The truth is, no one living can stand before a holy God on the basis of justice. There is none righteous, not one. All of us have sinned and fallen short. So whenever I come to God, I do not come demanding justice for myself. I come pleading for mercy. Justice would mean getting what I deserve, and mercy means not getting what I deserve. I would rather cast myself on His mercy every time.

The beautiful mystery is that for those who are in Christ, mercy and truth have met together. Justice was served, the full penalty for sin was paid, so that mercy could flow to us without compromising truth. The cross is where that happened. Jesus took the judgment we deserved, so God could extend mercy to us freely. That does not mean the wrong done to you is overlooked by God. He sees it clearly. But He invites you to bring that hurt to Him and entrust the outcome to His hands, rather than letting bitterness consume your own heart. Vengeance belongs to the Lord; He will repay. He is the Judge of all the earth who always does right.

When the longing for someone else to be brought to their knees overtakes you, remember that God’s mercy toward you is what keeps you standing. No one exhausts the mercy of God. His mercy endures forever, and He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. He would rather show mercy than punish. So while you wait for Him to right every wrong in His time, do not let a demand for another’s punishment harden you. Instead, ask Him for the grace to release the person into His just and merciful hands. Pray for your own healing. Ask Him to guard your heart from the poison of unforgiveness. He is able to bring about true justice, and He is also able to give you peace that passes understanding. His mercy is as high as the heavens over you. Let that mercy soothe the raw places, and trust the final verdict to the only Judge whose rulings are perfect.
