Beloved Servant
Please pray for my church as some of my church members left recently possibly after conflicts arose between them and others in the church. They are leaving to go to another church plant. Pray for them and for that new church. Please also pray for me as I have a condition that makes my cycles difficult and Satan often attacks me hard during the time of my cycle (which should come soon). Other women believers who have this condition have noted the same problem. The enemy often uses my mother (who has many spiritual and emotional problems) during this time to cause me distress. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We join with you in bringing these burdens before the Father together in Jesus name and we thank you for sharing them so openly with us.

We lift up your church and we understand how painful it is when members leave after conflict. We pray that the Lord would guard your congregation from bitterness or gossip and keep you in the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:3. We know how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1, and when that unity is broken it grieves the Holy Spirit and grieves us. We pray for those who have left to go to the new church plant, that if this division was not handled in a biblical way they would be convicted to seek reconciliation, and if the Lord is truly leading them to help establish another faithful work then He would bless and establish it for His glory. We pray that both congregations would walk in love and that what the enemy meant for division God would use for the spread of the gospel, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God Romans 8:28. We encourage you to continue as much as it is up to you to be at peace with all men Romans 12:18, to bless those who have gone, to not speak evil of them, and to trust your pastors and elders to shepherd the remaining flock with wisdom and grace.

We also lift up your physical suffering and the spiritual attacks you experience around your cycle. We hear how real and heavy this is, and we do not dismiss it. The body and spirit are connected and when you are weak physically the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy John 10:10, and our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities and powers Ephesians 6:12. Many godly women have shared this same pattern of increased oppression, anxiety or heaviness in that time, and the Lord sees and has compassion. He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29. When our heart is overwhelmed we ask Him to lead us to the rock that is higher than we are Psalm 61:2. We pray for healing and relief for this condition that makes your cycles so difficult, for the Lord heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3, and for grace and strength and peace each month. We encourage you in that vulnerable week to be especially intentional to put on the full armor of God Ephesians 6:11, to be sober and self-controlled and watchful because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion 1 Peter 5:8, to resist the devil and he will flee from you as you submit yourself to God James 4:7, and to bring every anxious thought to Him in prayer for the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Practically we encourage you to rest when you can, to stay in the Word, to let trusted sisters in Christ know when that time is approaching so they can pray and check on you, and to seek wise medical counsel as the Lord leads.

We also intercede for your mother. We know you love her and yet her spiritual and emotional problems are used by the enemy to cause you distress, especially when you are most vulnerable. We pray for her salvation and healing and deliverance, that God would open her eyes and bring stability to her mind and heart, for God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray that you would be able to honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12 while also walking in biblical wisdom and setting loving boundaries, not returning evil for evil but overcoming evil with good Romans 12:21, and that the Lord would protect your heart from condemnation or confusion during those interactions.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead that we are saved Romans 10:9. We pray that you know Him as your Lord and Savior and that every prayer we offer is through His precious name and His shed blood alone.

So we pray together now, Father in heaven we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask You to pour out Your peace upon this church, to heal any wounds from conflict, to prevent a root of bitterness from springing up, and to cause Your people to walk in forgiveness and unity. We bless those who have left and we ask You to establish that new church plant to be a faithful light that preaches Christ crucified and risen. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon our sister, to ease the pain and difficulty of her cycles, to strengthen her body and calm her spirit, and to rebuke every attack of the enemy that seeks to overwhelm her in that time. We take authority in Jesus name over every scheme of Satan and we ask You to place a hedge of protection around her. We lift up her mother to You and ask for mercy, healing, and salvation, and for wisdom for our sister to love her mother well while guarding her own heart. Fill her with Your peace that passes understanding and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We are holding your requests before the Lord and we want you to know you are not carrying these alone.

Watching people leave a church family hurts, especially when there has been conflict. It is understandable to feel grief and questions even while wanting God's best for those who have gone to the new plant. We are asking God to bring healing where there was tension, to keep unity in your congregation, and to bless both fellowships to serve Him faithfully in their own places.

We also hear how vulnerable the days around your cycle feel for you. Many women do find they are more tender physically and emotionally at that time, and it makes sense that spiritual discouragement and family strain would feel heavier then. It is wise that you have noticed the pattern and that other believing women have shared the same experience, you do not have to face that window without support. If you have not already, we encourage you to keep your doctor or clinician in the loop about the difficult cycles, alongside prayer, so you have care for your body as well.

For the coming days it may help to line up a little extra support ahead of time, a trusted friend to check in, some rest, and a gentle plan for time with your mother that protects your peace, like keeping conversations shorter or having someone else present when you can.

Father, we bring this sister to You in Jesus' name. Comfort her body and calm her heart in the days ahead, guard her from discouragement, give her wisdom with her mother, and bring peace and healing to her church and to those who have gone to the new plant. Amen.

We have carried your requests to the throne of grace and we do not cease to remember you there.

There is a peculiar sorrow when a church, which is as a mother to her children, feels the pain of some of her own going forth from her. We pray that the Lord, who is the true Husband and Head of His Church, would heal what has been torn by conflict, would keep those who remain from bitterness, and would keep those who have gone from hardness of heart. We ask that He would search all hearts, forgive what needs forgiving, and restore peace where there has been strife. For those who have gone to another church plant, we pray that they may be planted indeed by the Lord, that they may walk in truth, hold fast the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and bear fruit to His glory. And for your own congregation, we pray that God would be present with her, for the Church is a poor mother if her God is not with her, but when He is with her she brings forth children unto Christ and nurses them in tenderness and truth.

For your own affliction we have prayed with much tenderness. You speak of a condition that makes your cycles difficult, and of a season each month when you are sorely pressed and the enemy seems to tear and cast down. This inward conflict is known to many of the Lord's people. As we have often taught, there is a war within between the flesh and the Spirit, and these two must fight till our dying day. When the flesh is weak and afflicted, the spirit also feels the weight, and Satan, who is a master of arrows from afar, will sorely grieve the soul at such times. Though we be not possessed as the child in the gospel was, we are yet beset by devilish temptations which would vex us and, if left to themselves, destroy us.

Remember then that as you are yet a coming to Christ in your distress, the devil may throw you down and tear you, but Christ is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him, and whosoever cometh He will in no wise cast out. When you feel most cast down, look wholly and simply upon Christ. Fall upon Him, for He is your strong foundation. Tell the adversary it is written, and plead the blood and the promises. Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and when you have cast it upon Him, take heed that you do not take it up again.

We have prayed that the Lord would grant you relief in your body, strength in your spirit, and calm in those days you dread. We pray that He would guard your mind and heart through Christ Jesus, and give you wisdom to seek such help as may ease your suffering, whether by godly counsel or by lawful means of care.

Concerning your mother, we know how deep is the wound when those nearest to us become the occasion of distress, and how the enemy will use even a father or a mother to grieve us. We pray for her, that God would have mercy upon her in her spiritual and emotional troubles, and that He would give you grace to honor her as the commandment requires, and yet to walk in wisdom and quietness when her words or actions would stir you up. May the Lord make you gentle and firm, speaking the truth in love, and may He keep you from being overcome by evil, but enable you to overcome evil with good.

May the guardian Spirit who has watched over you keep you in this trial. He who has brought you thus far will bring you out of this distress and make it promote His own glory.

Our prayer for you is this:

O Lord our God, look upon this Thy servant in her affliction. Thou knowest her frame and rememberest that she is dust. Give her grace in her time of weakness, rebuke the adversary who would tear her, and cover her with the righteousness of Christ. Heal the breaches in Thy Church, bless with true spiritual prosperity both the mother church and those who have gone forth to plant another, if it be according to Thy will and for the preaching of Thy gospel. Bless also this mother who is troubled, and bring peace into that home. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who ever liveth to make intercession for us. Amen.

We will continue to pray that you may find rest not in your own strength, but in Christ alone, and that you may prove in every conflict that His grace is sufficient for you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
