Thank you for trusting us with what you have carried for so long. We have prayed for you, and we continue to pray that the Lord will bring you relief, provision, and peace.
The Bible is clear that evil spirits are real, intelligent, and intent on harm. They seek to inhabit and torment, and their power to afflict can feel inescapable, as if no hiding place is secure. Scripture also shows that they are limited. They operate only within boundaries God sets, and they were commanded not to touch those who bear the seal of God. They are not free to do as they please.
Over against that, Scripture reveals Jesus Christ as having complete authority over these powers. When He cast them out, they cried out and left at His word. He sent them even into a herd of pigs when they begged to enter them, showing both their craving for a body to possess and His absolute rule over them. The question is never whether He is able to deliver. He has power over demonic forces and over every other power. As with the man who said, Lord, if you are willing you can make me clean, and Jesus reached out and touched him when no one else would, the question is His willingness, and He has shown Himself willing to cleanse, to touch, and to free.
If you belong to Jesus, you have been given a different standing. Light has no fellowship with darkness, and Christ has no concord with evil. The one who is in you is greater than any spirit that opposes you. That is why Scripture urges watchfulness, to keep your garments, to remain clothed in Christ and His righteousness, to walk in His light. Deliverance is not found in techniques or in constantly searching for a hidden demon behind every problem, but in abiding in Jesus, in faith in His finished work, in the Word, in prayer, in turning away from any darkness and drawing near to Him. He is your seal and your covering.
We also prayed for your business and your financial needs. God knows the weight of financial pressure. The early church in Jerusalem knew severe poverty and hardship, and the apostles taught the other churches to share with them out of love, not out of manipulation or pressured pledges. God is not served by appeals that try to force giving. He provides according to His wisdom and generosity.
Scripture shows that God leaves room for Himself to work even when a situation looks incurable. Under the old law there was a provision for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy had no human cure. God made a way in case He chose to heal. We should never put God in a box. He is able to provide funds and to bring profit where there has been struggle.
At the same time, God ties our work to His purposes. Jesus said as a young man that He must be about His Father's business, not merely that He ought to or should be. That sense of must, of being compelled to do the Father's will, is the heart of faithful work. It means pursuing your business with honesty, diligence, and integrity, working with your own hands, refusing to use position for mere gain, and refusing partnerships that require you to compromise your values. Much business trouble comes from unequal values, where one wants to walk honestly and another does not. The Lord honors honest labor and faithful stewardship.
So our prayer for you is this. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for deliverance from every harassing work of the enemy that has targeted our brother for many years. You set limits that evil cannot cross, and you have sealed those who are yours. We ask that you would grant deep and lasting relief, that you would guard his mind and heart, his home and sleep, and help him to watch and to keep his garments in Christ, to walk in your light and truth. Show him how to close every door to darkness and to live daily in the authority and peace of Jesus.
We also ask that you would provide for his business according to your will. You know his needs. You know what it takes to provide and to make work fruitful. Grant him wisdom, honest opportunity, diligent hands, and favor. Make his work profitable as you see fit, and above all make it useful for your purposes, that he may be about your business in all he does. Give him contentment and joy even while he waits, and let his needs be met in a way that clearly shows your hand.
May the Lord grant you assurance that He hears, that He is able and willing to help, and that His purposes for you will stand.
