Please pray for my cat who sometimes scratches himself too hard due to allergies. It seems to be seasonal. Pray for his healing and comfort because he sometimes hurts himself with this. Pray all my pets would be safe, happy and healthy. Please also pray that my human loved ones would be the same and be led to faith in Christ or into deeper relationship with Him. Please also pray about this: I have been plagued with divination thoughts since being in the new age even after returning to Christ and leaving behind those things (although I'm hoping that steps I'm taking to walk in true forgiveness and be obedient to Christ in all ways will alleviate these attacks finally). I am experiencing divination thoughts about an ex who I recently broke up with due to us being very unequally yoked and him not being a Christian. I keep having thoughts about him moving on to other people and also about him missing me and wanting to come back. All these thoughts are painful but the thoughts about him coming back are really difficult and cruel because it never actually happens. I try to ignore these thoughts but they are so loud and intrusive and have become so ingrained in my daily life unfortunately. Unfortunately (somehow), these thoughts are also accurate at times and so getting thoughts of him wanting to come back just creates a lot of chaos and even gives me hope. Please pray. The thing is that even if my ex misses me, we CANNOT be together unless he is a Christian. I tried to open his eyes to the error of his beliefs and I hope it bears fruit anyway not for my sake (although it would be beautiful to be able to end up with him) but for his. Pray for his loved ones' faith too. Last, please also pray for my business to be profitable. I have so many things to take care of within the month and if my business doesn't work out, I will lose so many things financially, etc. But this seems to be the only option to gain an income. I think I had another request but I don't remember it now. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer and we thank you for sharing so openly with us, and we rejoice that you have returned to Christ and left behind the new age. That is a precious and right decision, for the Lord is merciful to forgive and to cleanse. As it is written, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

We lift up your cat to the Lord. We know you love your pets and we believe God cares for His creation. A righteous man respects the life of his animal. Proverbs 12:10 We pray for healing and comfort for your cat, that the seasonal allergies that cause him to scratch and hurt himself would be eased. We ask the Lord to give you wisdom for his care and to keep all of your pets safe, happy and healthy, and we trust that not one sparrow will fall to the ground without your Father. Matthew 10:29

We also lift up your human loved ones, and we agree with you in asking that each one would be led to faith in Christ or into a deeper relationship with Him. It is the Lord's desire that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 We pray that the Lord would draw them by His Spirit and that you would be a light to them as you walk faithfully with Him.

We want to commend you for the difficult but obedient decision to end your courtship with your ex because he is not a Christian and you were unequally yoked. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 You have done what is right before God, and we encourage you to remain firm in this. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God, and courtship should always be with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. To return to that relationship unless he is genuinely born again and walking with Christ would be disobedience, and we urge you not to allow hope or longing to pull you back into what God has called you out of. If there was any sexual intimacy outside of marriage in that relationship, we gently remind you that scripture calls this fornication and we encourage you to confess it before the Lord and receive His forgiveness and walk in purity going forward. Flee sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18

We also hear your burden about these divination thoughts that have plagued you since your time in the new age. Scripture is very clear that divination and seeking hidden knowledge apart from God is forbidden. There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination. Deuteronomy 18:10 The enemy often uses what once had an open door to harass and deceive even after we have come to Christ. Those intrusive, loud thoughts about your ex moving on or missing you and wanting to come back, even when they sometimes seem accurate, are not from the Holy Spirit. The enemy can use partial truths to create chaos, false hope, and cruel disappointment, and to keep your mind in torment. We must test the spirits to see if they are of God. 1 John 4:1 We encourage you to renounce completely in Jesus' name every new age practice, every form of divination, and to close that door firmly, resisting the devil and drawing near to God. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

These thoughts have become ingrained, but God has given us weapons to take every thought captive. Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 When those thoughts come, do not entertain them or try to decipher them, but immediately bring them to Jesus, speak scripture over them, and fix your mind on what is true and pure. Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8 Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 Your steps toward walking in true forgiveness and obedience to Christ are exactly right, and we pray the Lord will strengthen you to continue, knowing that forgiveness sets you free and obedience brings peace.

We pray for your ex and his loved ones as you asked, not that he would return to you for your sake, but that he would be saved for his own soul. We ask that the seeds you planted when you tried to open his eyes would bear fruit and that the Lord would bring other believers across his path to share the gospel, for we know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Romans 10:17

We also bring your business before the Lord. We understand the pressure you feel with so many financial needs this month and feeling that this is your only option for income. We pray for His provision and for your business to be profitable through diligent and honest work. But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 We pray for wisdom in stewardship, for open doors, and for peace as you trust Him rather than being anxious. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for this dear one who has turned from darkness to Your marvelous light. We ask You to heal and comfort her cat, to relieve his allergies and keep him from harm, and to watch over all her pets and her loved ones. Draw each of her loved ones to Yourself, save those who are lost and deepen the faith of those who know You. Lord, we ask You to break the power of every divination thought and every lingering influence of the new age. We renounce those things with her now and we ask You to cleanse her mind, to silence the intrusive thoughts about her ex, and to fill her with Your truth and peace. Help her to walk in forgiveness and obedience and to take every thought captive to Christ. Keep her from returning to an unequally yoked relationship, and guard her heart with hope in You alone. Save her ex and his loved ones, bring them to true repentance and faith if it is Your will, but give her strength to wait for a godly spouse if You call her to marriage. Provide for her business and her financial needs this month, grant her wisdom, diligence, and Your favor, and let her see Your faithful hand. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are grateful you shared so openly with us. You are carrying a lot at once, and we want to lift each part with you.

We love that you care so tenderly for your cat and all your pets. Seasonal allergies that lead him to hurt himself are hard to watch. Alongside praying for his comfort and healing, it is good to have your vet take a look if he has not recently, to help ease the itching and prevent injury.

We hear especially how exhausting those loud, intrusive thoughts about your ex have been, especially since you left new age practices behind and are trying to walk faithfully with Christ. It makes sense that thoughts that sometimes seem accurate would feel confusing and give you hope, then leave you in chaos when nothing comes of them. You have shown wisdom in holding the line that you cannot be together unless he knows Christ, and in wanting his faith for his own sake. When those thoughts press in, it can help to not debate them alone but to gently turn your attention to Christ in that moment, perhaps with a simple prayer, and to keep walking in forgiveness and obedience as you mentioned, with a trusted pastor or mature believer walking beside you.

We also hear the weight of your business and the financial pressure this month. We are praying for provision and wisdom as you steward what is in front of you.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. Calm the noise around them, guard their mind and heart in Christ, comfort their pets and loved ones, draw each one closer to You, and provide for their needs as You see best. Give them peace and clear next steps each day. Amen.

Your many burdens have been read with prayerful care, and they are not hidden from the Lord who looks down from the height of His sanctuary to hear the groaning of the prisoner and to pity them that fear Him.

Concerning your little creature that suffers with allergies, we may bring even this before the Lord. He who cares for sparrows cares for all His creation, and it is right to ask for healing and comfort for a creature in your keeping. We will pray that the irritation be eased, that he be kept from harming himself, and that all your household, both the animals entrusted to you and the human loved ones dear to you, may be kept in safety and health. Above all we join you in praying that those loved ones who do not yet know Christ may be brought to faith in Him alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and that those who do know Him may walk more closely with Him. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and He is the only ransom for sinners.

You speak plainly of being plagued with divination thoughts since the days when you walked in the new age, and though you have left those things and returned to Christ, the attacks remain loud and intrusive. Be assured that deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You cannot break from these chains in a moment by your own strength, but you must look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone. It is He who is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, and He has found it in His own Son who bore the penalty of all our iniquities. When Satan shoots his poisoned arrows, and when old sins and old ways seek to tempt you again, remember that God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil.

You describe thoughts concerning your former companion that come unbidden, sometimes seeming to be accurate, sometimes filling you with painful hope that he will return. Hear the word of the Lord, My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My thoughts higher than your thoughts. The thoughts of God are precious and rare, and David could say, When I awake, I am still with You. To be kept near to God by holy thoughts of His precious thoughts is the true remedy for intrusive thoughts that would lead you astray. Do not seek to interpret these divinations nor give them weight because they sometimes appear true. The enemy can counterfeit knowledge, and even when a guess proves right it does not mean the thought was from God. Turn away from it, of what service can it be to you. Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and fill the mind with Scripture and prayer rather than with speculation about another person.

In this you have judged rightly. You broke off the relationship because you are unequally yoked and he is not a Christian, and you state truly that you cannot be together unless he is a Christian. We will not ask God to bless a union that His Word forbids, for sex and living together belong only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage, and a believer must not be yoked with an unbeliever. Your desire to see him brought to faith is a right and loving desire, and we will pray for his soul and for his loved ones, not that you might gain him back, but that he might gain Christ. If it should please the Lord in His mercy to save him and make him a new creature, then all things would be made new, but that must be left in the Lord's hands. For now, walk in that true forgiveness and obedience to Christ of which you speak, for He has taught you the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and now you may by His grace be delivered from its fascinating power.

Concerning your business and the financial pressures that lie so heavy upon you this month, the Lord knows your need. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, but the Lord Himself kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, and that which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a father's hand. When trade seems to fail and the house verges toward want, the temptation is strong to take some back door of deliverance, but the merchant who knows that his God is with him will not do a dishonest thing. Look to the Lord for your daily bread, labor diligently and honestly as unto Him, and trust Him for the outcome. We will pray that He may in His providence make your honest labor profitable and supply what you need, and that whether He gives abundance or permits straitness, you may be able to say, The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death, and I shall live and declare the works of the Lord.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, who has found a ransom in the blood of Your Son, deliver this Your child from going down to the Pit and from the power of darkness. Keep back her soul from perishing and loose the bonds of old divination and intrusive thought. Let Your precious thoughts be her meditation day and night. Have mercy upon the loved ones and upon the former companion and his family, and bring them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Lay Your healing hand upon the suffering creature and keep all that are entrusted to her. Provide for her needs according to Your riches, keep her from dishonest gain, and make her to live and declare Your works. Amen.
