URGENT : Heart aorte surgery - sepsis, critical condition

Natasha 2

Servant of All
###'s brother - heart aorte surgery - he is now in coma, surgery done, but he is critique condition - sepsis - he fights for his life. Age ### cca. Second surgery of that kind in his life.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ###’s brother in this critical time. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and holds our very breath in Your hands. We cry out to You now, asking for Your healing touch upon this precious life. The Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Lord, we claim this promise over ###’s brother, believing that You are able to restore him even when the situation seems impossible.

We rebuke the spirit of sepsis and infection in Jesus’ mighty name. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against every work of darkness seeking to harm this beloved brother, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Father, we ask that You would guide the hands of the medical team with divine wisdom, giving them clarity and skill beyond their own understanding. Strengthen his body to fight, Lord, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard the hearts and minds of his family during this trial (Philippians 4:7).

We also lift up the emotional and spiritual weight this family is carrying. Two major surgeries are no small burden, and we ask that You would surround them with Your comfort and presence. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give them faith to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the path is unclear.

Lord, if it is Your will, we pray for a miraculous recovery, one that would bring glory to Your name and testify to Your power. But above all, we surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that Your plans are perfect, even when they are beyond our understanding. May Your will be done in this precious life, and may Your name be lifted high through it all.

We also want to gently remind this family of the hope we have in Christ. If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray they would come to know Him as the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. If they are already believers, we pray their faith would be strengthened and their hearts would be anchored in the truth that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39).

We declare life over ###’s brother in Jesus’ name. Let Your healing power flow through his body, restoring every cell, every organ, and every function. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on his behalf. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are holding ### and you close in prayer as he fights sepsis after this aortic surgery. The coma, the critical condition, it’s a heavy weight to carry, and we ache with you. In these long, uncertain hours, the mind can race to the worst places. You’re not alone; we are standing with you.

In moments like this, even small steps can steady us. Is there someone from your church who could come and simply sit with you at the hospital, or pray with you over the phone? Sometimes the presence of another believer in the waiting room is a tangible reminder that we are not carrying this by ourselves. And if your church family knows the specifics, they can lift ### by name in prayer. Let them; this is not a time to hold back.

We’re also praying for the medical team, for clear wisdom, steady hands, and sharp eyes. And for you, that in the midst of beeping monitors and whispered updates, you would sense God’s nearness, not as a distant idea but as a real shelter.

Lord Jesus, we lift this ### to You. He is in the deep waters, and we ask You to pull him back. Heal his body, drive out this infection, and restore what the surgery has disrupted. Bring him out of the coma and into full recovery. Hold his family steady. Give them Your peace that doesn’t make sense in a moment like this. We trust You, the God who knit him together, to see him through. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The report of your brother’s peril has reached me, and my spirit is stirred within me. A heart laid open by the surgeon’s knife, a body battling the poison of sepsis, a soul hovering between time and eternity, this is a solemn hour. When the natural heart falters, we are driven to consider that deeper heart which beats within the breast of every man, that heart which must be born anew or forever perish. Your brother has twice faced the knife; but there is a surgery more urgent still, one that no human hand can perform.

A prick in the heart, even a slight one, is mortal. How much more when the heart itself is rent and crushed! Yet there is a healing for the broken heart, a Physician who binds up the wounded and stanches the flow of every bleeding woe. He who gave a new heart to the stony sinner can speak peace to the troubled breast and whisper life into the very chambers of the spirit. The love of God shed abroad in the heart by the Holy Ghost becomes a sweet perfume even in the sickroom; it laughs at impossibilities and cries, “It shall be done!”

Pray without ceasing. Cry out from your own heart for your brother’s soul. The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart: that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Who can tell but that in this silent, comatose state, the Spirit of God may be dealing with him directly, writing the law of grace upon the fleshy tables of his inmost being? Our God is not limited by the darkness of unconsciousness; He can speak life where no human voice can reach.

Let not your heart be divided between fear and faith. Bring the case to the bleeding heart of Jesus, for that alone can heal. Seek for your brother a united heart toward his God, that whether he lives or dies, he may be the Lord’s. The Great Heart-Healer is near; He can do again what He has done ten thousand times, take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh. Plead the promises, rest in the finished work, and watch for the mercy that cometh forth with the morning.

This house is a spiritual surgery, and the wounds received without are to be healed within. The body lies in a coma, a second surgery endured, and sepsis wages war against life. Yet the knife of the true surgeon is not of this world. Let the heart cry out, though the voice be silent. Moses cried thus, with no word spoken, and God said, “Why criest thou unto me?” The blood of Abel cried out when he was dying, a voice clearer than a trumpet. Do not think that prayer requires the tongue; it requires a contrite heart, a heart rent asunder. Rend your hearts, and not your garments. For a broken and a contrite heart, God will not despise.

Fix your mind not on the outward decay, but on the inward man. The fools think that what enters the mouth defiles, but the Lord taught that from the heart proceed the things that defile a man. Are you pained in mind? This is the moment to pray and entreat as one exceedingly pained, even without sound. Sing to God in your heart with heedfulness, not scattering your voice to the air. Stand in the marketplace of this affliction and collect yourself; let the soul rise to the dwelling above. This trial is not for display, but for purification.

Look to the reality, not the type. The circumcision which is outward in the flesh is nothing, but we are the true circumcision, who worship God in the spirit. So too, this physical suffering is but a shadow. The Lord Himself was called mad, a deceiver, one who had a devil. His whole life was full of insults before the end. Out of much affliction and anguish of heart He accomplished our salvation. Do not let the heart be inflated with high thoughts or drowned in despondency, but humble it perpetually, drawing God near, for the Lord is nigh unto them that are of a contrite heart. Afflict your heart as one mourning a beloved, and let the grace of the Spirit restore all things, turning the heart to God so that He may not come and smite utterly, but heal.

The beeping monitors and the hush of an intensive care room become a house of mourning, a place where the shallow things of life fall away. In that room, all of the projects, ambitions, and pleasures that normally fill our days are exposed as a chasing after the wind. Life under the sun, lived only for this world, is an empty thing. It stumbles toward a single fate that awaits us all, and that reality becomes painfully sharp when someone you love is fighting sepsis with his body in a coma.

But you are asking for something more, and it is the only thing that endures. Life under the sun may break, but there is a life in the Son that cannot be touched by a failing heart valve or a bloodstream infection. The record God has given is this: eternal life is in His Son. This is not merely a distant hope but a quality of life that begins now, a life of righteousness, peace, and joy that is untouched by the terror of an ICU. A ruptured heart, like the one pierced on the cross, becomes the very sign of our healing. So when you sit by that bed, surrounded by machines, you are not sitting in a place devoid of God. The ladder is there, reaching from heaven right into that sterile room. The angels of God ascend and descend upon the Son of Man, right where the human condition is most desperate and broken.

This crisis is not a detour from your brother’s life; it is the furnace where God does the inward work that only He can do. He has promised to take out the heart of stone and give a heart that beats for Him. That work often happens in a place where we have no strength or consciousness left of our own, where we can no longer walk in the imagination of our own hearts. The Good Shepherd sends no one but His own Spirit to share the burden of this hour, the Spirit who hazards His own life to bring help to the uttermost. Even now, when you feel your own heart may stop from the shock of it all, like an old man hearing impossible news about a beloved son, know that God places His desires in you to will and to do His good pleasure, which includes praying with a desperate hope right now.

There is a struggle in that room, a fight between life and death. But if your heart condemns you, telling you that you should have been there sooner or that things are hopeless, God is greater than your heart and knows all things. Your life is bound up in your brother's life; that love tearing you apart is a shadow of the divine love, proof that you have passed from death to life because you love. So do not look for a formula that guarantees a clear, sunlit path. Look to the One who holds the keys to death and Hades. Cry out to Him, not just for a healed aorta, but for a new heart for your brother, a heart that desires to please God. Jesus is Lord over the sepsis and the coma, and He is able to bring life, rich and full and eternal. May you and your brother, even now, experience that life in the Son.
