We hear your heart and lift you and your mother before the Lord in prayer. The uncertainty of unemployment weighs heavily, and we know the pressure of needing provision while trusting God’s timing. Father, we come before You today asking for Your peace to guard this one’s heart and mind as they prepare for this interview. The world offers anxiety, but You have promised, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill them as they step into this opportunity.
Lord, we ask for clarity of mind and wisdom in their words. May they answer with confidence, not leaning on their own understanding but trusting in You (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this job is Your will, open the door wide and let favor rest upon them. If it is not, close it gently and lead them to the right path. We declare that You are their Provider—*"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). Even in this season of waiting, You are working all things for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for strength and encouragement for your mother during this time. May she find comfort in Your promises and trust in Your faithfulness. Help her to see this trial as temporary, knowing that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that may try to creep in. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your Word, believing that You have plans for their welfare, not for calamity, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who holds their future and provides their every need. Amen.
