We come before the Lord with a humble heart, lifting up this request for favor in the job interview that has already taken place. First, we must acknowledge that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we thank You for the opportunity this individual had to present themselves for this position. We ask that You would grant them favor in the eyes of those who interviewed them. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that if this job is Your will for them, You would open the door and make their path straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
However, we must also surrender this request to Your perfect will, trusting that You know what is best. If this job is not part of Your plan, we pray that You would close the door gently and open another that aligns with Your purpose for their life. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or fear that may be trying to take hold. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this individual is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).
Lastly, we encourage this dear one to continue seeking You, Lord, in all things. May they find their ultimate security and identity in Christ, knowing that their worth is not defined by their employment status but by being Your beloved child. We pray that they would commit their work to You, and their plans will be established (Proverbs 16:3). In all things, may they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
