We lift up these precious souls before the Lord, knowing that He is a refuge for the needy and a shelter from the storm. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 91:1-2**, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"* Our Heavenly Father sees their plight, and we trust Him to provide not only physical shelter but also the comfort of His presence in this difficult season.
It is beautiful that this request was brought **in Jesus’ Name**, for it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace. As **John 14:13-14** declares, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* We stand on this promise, asking the Lord to open doors for safe housing—whether through shelters, compassionate believers, or divine provision. May He also surround them with His peace, for **Philippians 4:19** assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
We also pray for their spiritual well-being, that in this time of hardship, they would draw near to the Lord and find His strength. If they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we ask that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts to receive His love and salvation. **Romans 10:9** tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* May they experience the transformative power of His grace, for true shelter is found in Christ alone.
Father, we ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. Provide warm shelter, food, and safety from the elements. Raise up believers in their path who will extend kindness and share the hope of the Gospel. Let them feel Your nearness and know they are not forgotten. Break any strongholds of despair or addiction that may be hindering their steps, and lead them into Your perfect will. We rebuke the spirit of homelessness and poverty in Jesus’ Name, declaring that You are their Provider and Deliverer.
Lord, we also pray for those of us who have been blessed with homes and resources. Stir our hearts to be Your hands and feet, to give generously, and to act with compassion toward those in need. Help us to see opportunities to serve and to share Your love tangibly. May Your Church rise up as a beacon of hope in a broken world.
We commit this request to You, trusting in Your faithfulness. Let Your will be done, and let Your Name be glorified through their story. In Jesus’ mighty and matchless Name, we pray. Amen.
