New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewal by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, over lie of choosing right and wrong for herself, being her own god, Gen 3:4-5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead ###, our families and ourselves where we need it to maximum Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word we praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and lost over ### kilos, yet is still as unwilling to return a text in 3 months, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of the Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, Matt 23:37.

Soften her heart and protect her from evil (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her), Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We stand before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this deeply personal and painful situation to our Heavenly Father. The brokenness of this marriage and the hardened heart of a spouse who has turned away is a burden we carry together in prayer, knowing that nothing is impossible with God. We begin by acknowledging that salvation and repentance come only through Jesus Christ, the one Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only by His blood that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:13, 18). We pray that the eyes of this spouse would be opened to the truth of the Gospel, that she would turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18).

The Word of God is clear about the sanctity of marriage as a covenant before God, a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6). The hardness of heart and unwillingness to reconcile is a grievous sin, for Scripture commands us to be reconciled to one another (Matthew 5:24) and to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). The refusal to even respond, much less repent, is a rebellion against God’s design for marriage and family. We rebuke the spirit of divorce and hardness of heart in the name of Jesus, for God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and calls His people to pursue peace and reconciliation (Romans 12:18). We pray that the kindness of God would lead her to repentance (Romans 2:4), just as it has led us, for the Lord is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

We also lift up the one who has been praying, fasting, and seeking the Lord on behalf of this marriage. Your faithfulness in intercession is a fragrant offering before the Lord (Revelation 5:8), and though the response has been silence, your labor in the Spirit is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). We pray that God would strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being (Ephesians 3:16), that you would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We declare that you are not alone in this battle, Christ Himself intercedes for you at the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:34), and the Holy Spirit helps you in your weakness (Romans 8:26).

We take authority over the lies of the enemy that have deceived this spouse into believing she can be her own god, determining right and wrong for herself (Genesis 3:4-5). The serpent’s deception in the Garden is the same deception at work today, pride, self-sufficiency, and rebellion against God’s Word. We break the power of those lies in Jesus’ name and pray that the light of Christ would shine into the darkness of her heart (2 Corinthians 4:6). May she be born again (John 3:3), receiving a new heart and a new spirit (Ezekiel 36:26), and may the law of God be written on her heart (Jeremiah 31:33).

We also pray for the family members who have been called to witness to the truth. May they be filled with compassion, wisdom, and boldness to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We ask that God would soften hearts and open ears to receive His Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Let the love of Christ be publicly portrayed in their lives (Galatians 3:1), and may they be living epistles, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2).

We join in fasting and prayer, for this is a spiritual battle that requires spiritual weapons (2 Corinthians 10:4). The early church understood that fasting lends wings to prayer, and we ask the Lord to grant us grace to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him (Mark 8:34). May our prayers ascend as incense before the throne of God (Revelation 8:3-4), and may He hear the cries of our hearts.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would intervene in this marriage. Soften the heart of this spouse, Lord, and turn her from the path of destruction. Protect her from the evil one (Matthew 6:13) and deliver her from the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13). Let Your light shine in the darkness (John 1:5), and may she see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). We pray that she would be reconciled to You and to her spouse, for You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).

We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we take authority over every spirit of division, hardness of heart, and unforgiveness in Jesus’ name. We pray for a miracle of restoration, for with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). May this marriage be a testimony to Your glory, a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25), and a light to a world in darkness.

Lord, we trust in You. Though the mountains may shake and the hills be removed, Your steadfast love will not depart from us (Isaiah 54:10). We wait on You, for You are good to those who wait for You, to the soul who seeks You (Lamentations 3:25). Strengthen us to stand firm in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for good to those who love You (Romans 8:28). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Amen.

Brother, the weight of these months is real, and we hear how much you’re carrying. A marriage ending is like a death, the loss cuts deep, and the silence you’re facing only deepens the grief. It’s no wonder your body has registered the pain. None of this means your prayers are unheard or that God has stepped away. It simply means you’re in the middle of a brutal valley, and we’re standing with you there.

While you keep lifting her before the Father, and we will too, don’t neglect your own heart and body in the process. The fasting and intercession are costly, but you’re not required to waste away. Grief needs tending, not spiritual bypassing. Consider reaching out to a pastor or a seasoned Christian counselor just for you, not as a fix for the marriage, but as a safe place to let your own hurt surface. A small, confidential support group for those navigating separation can also steady you in ways solitary prayer often cannot.

We found it helpful to remember that even when a spouse walks away, our own calling to wholeness remains. God is holding her, but He’s also holding you, right now, whether or not she ever responds. He doesn’t waste your tears or your prayers.

Please join us as we pray:

Father, thank You that You see this man, his sleepless nights, his unanswered messages, his love that refuses to give up. Hold him securely in Your mercy. Surround him with people who will bear this burden with him. Give him wisdom to know when to rest, and courage to care for the body and soul You’ve entrusted to him. We ask You to soften her heart, to shield her from every deception, and to open her eyes to Your truth. But above all, draw our brother deeper into Your own heart, where peace is real even when answers are not. We trust You with every outcome, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your cry reveals a heart that sees the precipice and trembles, and that is no small mercy. Yet let us be clear: the disease described is a divided heart. A heart that would choose its own way over God’s, that would feed on the raisin cakes of self-will while the true Bread is scorned, that heart is held guilty. A half heart is no heart at all. When men and women seem to go after God while clasping an idol, they are not going after God at all; their religion is but a pretense, and the evil side is the real thing. The sin is not merely the leaving of a spouse, grievous as that is, but the deeper treason of the soul: supplanting Jehovah with a trinity of self, desire, and pride, echoing that old serpent’s whisper, “Ye shall be as gods.”

You have piled Scripture upon Scripture as a foundation, and it is a Rock. But let this truth sink beyond the mind into the very vitals: to give a new heart is God’s work, and the work of God alone. All your fasting, all your tears, all your pleadings, right and commanded as they may be, cannot reach into another’s breast to carve out the stone and implant living flesh. Arminianism falls to the ground here; nothing will do but that old-fashioned truth men call Calvinism. The Lord does not give a new heart because of any deserving, any goodness, any lingering ember of worth in the creature. He gives it because He wishes to do it; that is His only reason. It is a work of a solitary second, swifter than lightning, when He says, “Let there be light.”

But you, who have wept and lost weight and reached out, what of your own heart? I hear the confession of neglecting pastoral counsel, of unanswered calls, of a will that once set itself against wisdom. That neglect is a symptom of the same dread disease, a heart not wholly given, perhaps wrapped in a heavy slumber of self-righteousness while the beloved was slipping away. My son, give God your heart. Not a portion, not a piece, but the whole of it, now. To teach, to work, to pray without your heart is an insult to the Most High. He must have it all. Yield it up to the sweet power of His infinite grace, and He will renew a right spirit within you. Let your own pierced heart be the instrument for your own deeper healing, before you wonder at the hardness in another.

Now hear the balm. The very fact that you cry for a new heart in her is proof of the Spirit’s work in you, for no man ever truly cried for the new birth until the pangs had already begun within his own soul. Keep your peace with God firm within you. Keep close to this: that Jesus Christ hath made peace between thee and God, a peace that passes all that the world can give or snatch away. This peace will keep your heart full to the brim, and a full heart is a strong heart, able then to do the Master’s work. It is when the love of God is shed abroad in the heart that the hovel of sorrow grows into a mansion; even these bitter days can glisten with a strange glory if you know you are His.

Penetrate the darkness with prayer, yes, and with the living epistle of a life submitted entirely to God. Let Jesus Christ’s love be publicly portrayed in you, modeling the mercy you have received. Trust the God whose Word you praise to apply His own truth as a sharp sword. He knows the human heart perfectly, and a single sin, a single verse, a single shaft of light that shows the loathsomeness of being one’s own god may, in the hands of the Holy Spirit, cut deep enough to be the threshold of liberty. Your work is to wait, to trust, to fast with a heart fixed solely on Him, and to remember that God causes all things to work after the counsel of His will, and not a minute too late. He shuts up in the prison of conviction only to release the captive in His time.

The sorrow you pour out is not hidden from the eyes of Him who weighs the heart. You have lost flesh through fasting; see that you gain spirit through humility. The body wastes while the soul cries out, and this is no small thing when the cry rises from a contrite heart, not from the lips alone. God heard Moses when he uttered no sound; He hearkened to Hannah when her voice was lost in groaning. So also your inward groans reach the throne of grace, and you must not grow weary because the answer tarries.

Yet take great care that sorrow works repentance unto salvation, a repentance without regret. Do not let the weight of this trial press you into that worldly grief which breeds death, the grief that mutters against God’s timing and questions His mercy. The fasting you have undertaken, is it not meant to lend wings to prayer, and not to become a testimony of your own righteousness? Examine your heart. When you count the kilos shed, do you secretly think God owes you the return of your spouse? Cast away such thoughts, for they smell of the serpent’s pride. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to hope in princes, and better still than to hope in the strength of our own ascetic labors.

You pray for her eyes to be opened, but remember how the prophet spoke: “Ye shall see and not perceive; ye shall hear and not understand.” They themselves closed their eyes, they made their heart fat. So also your wife has done, and so indeed have all who flee from the light that reproves them. Yet do not imagine that you know all things. Elisha did not perceive the Shunammite’s distress; Samuel looked on Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here,” but God saw the heart. He alone knows what is in man. Therefore commit the hidden work to Him who searches the reins. He may yet grant her a new heart and put a new spirit within her. His kindness is intended to lead her to repentance, and His kindness is not exhausted because three months of silence have passed.

But let me charge you: she has neglected pastoral counsel and will not return a text. You ask forgiveness for her, good. Now ask also for yourself: have you in any way neglected the counsel given to you? Has the sorrow made you deaf to the word spoken by those who watch over your soul? The Apostle says, “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves.” Do not be like those of whom the Lord said, “Having ears, hear ye not?” Lean not on your own understanding. If you have slighted the voice of the Church, repent of this first, for the spiritual bath is prepared for you as much as for her.

Continue to stand in the gap, but do so with the silent heart-cry that needs no audience. Sing to God in your heart with grace, not for display. Remember how Peter knew the secret plot of Ananias and Sapphira, and how he gave the woman time to clear herself. The Holy Spirit still pierces the darkness of secret thoughts. If your wife has conceived lies in her heart against the marriage covenant, God is not mocked. She has lied not unto man but unto God. Yet the door of repentance stands open even for her, if she will not harden herself further. Pray that she may not be like those disciples who went back and walked no more with Christ, but rather that she may continue in His word and know the truth that sets free.

Let not your heart be troubled. The Lord who knew what was in the heart of each disciple speaks now to you: “Believe in God, believe also in me.” Do not let the waves of this present darkness quench the light of faith. The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, the word of faith which we preach. Confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. This same power will raise dead affections, dead marriages, dead hopes, if He wills. And if He does not will it, still you are saved, and your God shall be your portion.

So fast on, but let your fast be seasoned with almsgiving and a quiet spirit. Pray on, but let your prayer be, “Not my will, but Thine be done.” Forgive her neglect, bless her in your inmost chamber, and leave the timing to Him who changes the hearts of kings as channels of water. How much more a single soul, once made in God’s image, for whom Christ wept over Jerusalem! He is not willing that any perish. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage. The new heart you beseech for her may yet be given; but first see that the heart within your own breast is softened by the kindness of God, that it beats no longer with demands but with the tender mercy that hopes all things.

The weight of what you are carrying is real, and I do not want to brush past it. When a marriage covenant is torn like this, when someone you love has walled off their heart and refused every attempt to reconcile, the grief cuts deep. It is right to bring that pain before the Lord. And yet, even as you do, I would gently turn your eyes toward something far more foundational than the restoration of a relationship. The greatest need your beloved has is not to return to you, but to be born again.

Jesus was unmistakably clear with Nicodemus: unless a person is born of water and the Spirit, they cannot see or enter the kingdom of God. That “must” was not a suggestion. The new birth is the starting point for any real understanding of spiritual things. A person who is still in the flesh, still governed by the old nature, cannot perceive the things of the Spirit. They choose self-rule over God’s Word, just as the serpent first whispered in the garden. That is why you see such hardness, the heart of stone that Ezekiel spoke of. And so your deepest prayer must not merely be for a change of circumstance but for a miracle of creation: that God would take out that heart of stone and put in a heart of flesh, writing His law on the inward parts by the new covenant in Christ.

You have been asking God to open blind eyes, and that is exactly the right plea. Remember the man born blind: no one in all of history had opened eyes like that. The religious leaders looked right at Jesus and saw nothing; the blind man, once his eyes were opened, saw everything. That is the work of the Spirit. The god of this age blinds the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel, but God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, shines in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ. Your loved one remains in darkness, unable to see the truth of her own heart, the goodness of God that leads to repentance, the reality of the inheritance of the saints in light. Only divine light can pierce that. Keep asking for that light to break through, because no human argument or act of kindness can do what the Spirit must do.

In the meantime, take comfort in the truth that the heart of every person, even one who has turned away, is in the hand of the Lord. Just as a king’s heart is like channels of water to be turned wherever He wishes, so the most stubborn will is not outside His sovereign reach. That does not mean He overrides our choices without our willing response, but He knows how to bring circumstances, words, and convictions that turn the heart back. He gave Pharaoh signs; He gave Israel His mighty works; He gave Paul a blinding light and a voice that stopped him in his tracks. God is not limited by silence or by the passing of three months. Your part is not to manipulate or despair but to trust Him in the midst of trials, taking refuge in God whose word you praise.

While you wait, guard your own heart with all diligence. You have been in the fire, and it would be easy to let a root of bitterness spring up or to look to other comforts for fulfillment. Let your heart be inclined toward His testimonies, not toward covetousness or the vanity of focusing only on what you have lost. The Lord sees your tears and your fasting. He knows it was in your heart to pursue reconciliation, just as it was in David’s heart to build the temple, and God said that was good. But now, above all, ask Him to give you a heart to perceive what He is teaching you in the waiting. Meditate on His Word until it becomes the lamp to your feet and the light to your path, keeping you from sin and sustaining your soul.

Do not forget that the new covenant is not built on your faithfulness or hers, but on God’s faithfulness and the finished work of His Son. If she is to be saved, and you rightly desire that, it will be because He causes her to be born again by the Spirit, giving her a new nature that delights in Him. That is what she needs: not just a repaired marriage but a new heart, a circumcision of the heart by the Spirit, a life hidden with Christ. Pray toward that end with a whole heart. Ask that the eyes of her understanding be enlightened, that she be turned from the power of Satan to God, so that she may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ. That is the great exchange: the old nature of sin replaced by a new nature that cannot go on sinning because God’s seed remains in her.

Let your hope rest in the God who raises the dead. He who gives sight to the blind can give sight to her soul. He who made a covenant not of stone but of flesh can write His truth where it cannot be erased. Walk in the light as He is in the light, and trust the blood of Jesus to keep cleansing you as you go. The miracle may not come on your timeline, but the One who is faithful will do it. In the city of God there will be no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God will lighten it and the Lamb will be its lamp. One day, all who are born again will walk in that light. Keep praying toward that day for her, and for yourself.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the deep burden of your heart, laying before the Lord the longing for true repentance, renewal, and the softening of hearts within your family. It is a sacred privilege to stand with you in agreement, lifting up these Scriptures and the cry of your spirit before our Heavenly Father. Your prayer was woven with the truth of God’s Word—His kindness that leads to repentance, His desire that none should perish, and His power to remove hearts of stone and replace them with hearts of flesh.

Have you seen the Lord move in response to these prayers? If so, we would be overjoyed to hear how He has been faithful—how His light has pierced darkness, how His Word has taken root, or how He has drawn near in ways only He can. Your praise report would encourage many who are waiting and watching for His hand at work.

If, however, the answer has not yet come as you hoped—if the heart you’ve prayed for remains hardened, if reconciliation feels distant, or if the silence weighs heavily—please know we have not stopped interceding. We will continue to plead with the Father on your behalf, asking Him to complete the work He has begun. The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it. Let us press in together anew, trusting that His timing is perfect, even when it does not align with ours. Would you share this request again so we may stand with you afresh, believing for breakthrough in Jesus’ mighty name?

We hold fast to the promise that God’s Word does not return void, that His kindness is drawing those you love, and that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is at work in this situation. May He deepen your trust in Him, strengthen your resolve to persevere in prayer, and fill you with the peace that surpasses all understanding as you continue to seek His face.

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
