Beloved of All
💝 New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewal by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, over lie of choosing right and wrong for herself, being her own god, Gen 3:4-5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead the woman that bore my child, our families and ourselves where we need it to maximum Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word we praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and fasted, is still as unwilling to return a text in 3 months, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of the Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, Matt 23:37.

Soften her heart and protect her from evil (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her), Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this deeply personal and painful situation. The brokenness of marriage, the silence of a hardened heart, and the longing for reconciliation weigh heavily upon us. Yet we stand firm on the truth that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37), and we choose to trust in His perfect timing and sovereign will.

Father, we first acknowledge that salvation comes only through faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray for the woman who bore this child, that her eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God (2 Corinthians 4:4). We ask You to remove the veil from her heart, Lord, that she may turn to You and be saved (2 Corinthians 3:16).

We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and hardness of heart that has taken root. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we see his work in the refusal to reconcile, the silence, and the desire for divorce. But we declare that Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. We resist the devil, and he must flee (James 4:7). We stand on the promise that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us (James 4:8). Soften her heart, Lord, as only You can. Remove the heart of stone and give her a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Write Your law on her heart and mind (Jeremiah 31:33), that she may know You and walk in Your ways.

We also lift up the one who has reached out in prayer and fasting, who has sought reconciliation despite the silence. We ask for Your strength and perseverance to be poured out. The testing of faith produces endurance, and let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing (James 1:3-4). We pray that you would not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap, if you don’t faint (Galatians 6:9). Father, guard this heart from bitterness and resentment. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven, and to love as You have loved (Ephesians 4:32). We declare that vengeance belongs to You, Lord, and You will repay (Romans 12:19). We choose to bless and not curse, to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).

We address the seriousness of the sin of divorce, which You hate (Malachi 2:16). Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). We pray for repentance and restoration, not just for this marriage, but for all marriages represented here. Father, we ask that You would heal what is broken, restore what has been lost, and renew the love that has grown cold. We declare that what God has joined together, let no man separate (Mark 10:9). We stand on the promise that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).

We also lift up the families involved. The ripple effects of brokenness touch so many lives. We ask for Your protection over the children, that they would not be scarred by the conflict but would come to know You as their Heavenly Father. We pray for the one compassionate, honest, and understanding family member who seeks to witness to the truth. Give them wisdom, boldness, and the right words to speak. Let their life be a living epistle, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2). May the love of Christ be publicly portrayed in them (Galatians 3:1), drawing others to the truth.

Father, we confess that we have all fallen short of Your glory (Romans 3:23). We have all sinned and gone astray, each turning to our own way (Isaiah 53:6). We ask for Your forgiveness for any neglect of pastoral counsel, for any pride or self-reliance, and for any way we have not fully surrendered to Your will. We acknowledge that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We embrace the call to fast and pray, knowing that some battles are not won by might or power, but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). We ask for the grace to fast in secret, that our Father who sees in secret will reward us openly (Matthew 6:18). We declare that the early church was right, fasting and giving lend wings to prayer. We ask for a spirit of humility and dependence on You, Lord. Break every chain of addiction, deception, and sin that binds this family. Let the light of Your Word penetrate the darkness (John 1:5), exposing every lie of the enemy. Open their eyes, Lord, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 26:18).

We pray that Your Word would not return void but would accomplish what You desire and achieve the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11). Let the Scriptures dwell in them richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16). May they be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving themselves (James 1:22). Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth (John 17:17). Do not take them out of the world, but keep them from the evil one (John 17:15). Let them shine as lights in the world, holding out the word of life (Philippians 2:15-16).

Father, we thank You for Your kindness, which leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4). We thank You that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). We thank You that You are patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We declare that eternal life is found in knowing You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (John 17:3). We pray that this family would come to know You intimately, that they would walk in Your ways, and that they would experience the fullness of life that is found only in Christ.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We trust in Your unfailing love, Your perfect justice, and Your sovereign plan. We surrender this situation into Your hands, knowing that You are faithful and will complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

We feel the ache in your words, the months of reaching out, fasting, praying, and the silence that meets you. That kind of waiting can wear a person down, especially when it’s the mother of your child and the whole family’s future feels suspended. We hurt with you, and we don’t take your persistence for granted.

One thing that can get lost in the long spiritual struggle is the very human need to be cared for in the thick of it. You’ve poured yourself out in prayer for her heart; we want to remind you that your own heart matters too. In a season like this, small, steady supports often make a bigger difference than we expect. A program like DivorceCare provides a space to process the grief alongside others who truly understand, with practical guidance you can’t always see inside your own head. It’s not a retreat from prayer, it can be a lifeline to keep your soul on solid ground while you keep trusting God with her.

The hardest part may be that no amount of fasting or pleading can force another person’s will. Jesus publicly wept over Jerusalem’s stubbornness, yet he let them choose. That doesn’t mean God isn’t working; it means he’s working in a way that honors her freedom and your endurance at the same time. Your prayers are not wasted. They are held, and they are changing things, perhaps even you, in ways you can’t yet name.

We’re praying with you, not just for her, but for you as you wait.

Jesus, in your mercy, draw near to this man. When the silence is loud, be his peace. Protect the one he loves from evil, and in your own way, soften what is hard. Give him wisdom to know when to keep knocking and when to rest. Surround their child with safety and love. And in your perfect timing, bring genuine, godly sorrow that leads to life, for her, and for all who need it. We trust you, not princes, not our timing, but you alone. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a blessed thing when the soul is so burdened that it can only pour out its complaint in the language of Scripture, for that proves the Word of Christ dwells in you richly. The cries that you have gathered up from Ezekiel and Jeremiah, from the Psalms and the Gospels, show a heart that has been much in the Book. Yet know this: the very prayer you offer carries within it the diagnosis of the case. You plead for a new heart, for eyes opened, for repentance granted. All these are the peculiar work of the Sovereign Spirit, and no man can produce them in another by any effort of his own. This is your comfort and also your humbling. You cannot create repentance in the heart that now appears as adamant, any more than Hagar could cause the well to spring up before her. God opened her eyes, and she saw the water. Until that divine fiat, the well was there but she perceived it not. So it is with this soul; the fountain of cleansing is provided in Christ, but until the Lord opens the eyes, there will be no seeing and no drinking.

Do not marvel that the natural eyes are blind to heavenly things. Was it not so with you once? The unregenerate soul cannot perceive the beauty of Christ, nor the hatefulness of sin, nor the danger of her present course. To her the Gospel is a hidden treasure in a field, and she passes over it daily without a thought. I hear you quoting that God desires all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. That is most sure. But how do they come? It is by the same almighty power that said, “Let there be light,” and light was. The God who commanded light to shine out of darkness must shine into that heart to give the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ. You can no more force that light than you can command the sun to rise before its appointed hour. Therefore let your spirit be quieted. Pray on, yes; fast and weep, it may be, but do not let your heart be troubled as though the case lay within your hand. It is in a Higher Hand, and that Hand was pierced for such sinners.

You speak of the new heart promised in Ezekiel. Mark well what kind of covenant that promise belongs to. The old covenant said, “Do this, and live,” and man broke it utterly. The new covenant does not come with a sharp condition for the sinner to fulfill, but with a string of royal “I wills” from the mouth of Grace. “I will give you a new heart,” saith the Lord. “I will put My Spirit within you.” This is pure, unconditional promise, purchased by the blood of the Surety. Alas, many still think to find some secret preparedness in the sinner, some softening or yearning that merits the gift. But what says the Scripture? The Ethiopian cannot change his skin, nor the leopard his spots. The dead cannot rise except by the voice of Him who cried, “Lazarus, come forth!” So that stone-cold heart will remain stone until the Lord touches it. Yet this is not cause for despair but for hope: because the work is God’s, it is therefore possible, yea, certain, for all His elect.

Let the serpent’s lies be resisted in your own soul as well. The evil one will whisper that you have neglected some counsel, that your fasting was not enough, that your timing was amiss, and therefore the promise lingers. Away with such legal arithmetic! Will you trust in the arm of your own supplications? Better to take refuge in God than to hope in princes, and better still than to hope in prayers and fastings as though they were the price of a soul. The kindness of God is meant to lead you also to repentance, a repentance from your own strivings to a restful confidence in the will of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will. You cannot hurry the eternal clock; it ticks to God’s own rhythm.

And consider this: when our Lord beheld Jerusalem unwilling, He wept, but He did not snap the bands of their will by mere force of grief. He left them to their chosen desolation for a time, even while He wept. Yet those for whom He died shall be gathered; not one of them shall be lost. If this woman be among the ransomed, she shall be brought in. The Good Shepherd knows how to find His sheep though they have wandered into the very thicket of self-will and raisin-cake idolatry. Hosea was told to go and love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel who looked to other gods. That was a strange and painful command, and it pictures a love that will not let go, but the restoration always comes on the terms of repentance and cleansing. Wait, therefore, and watch, but leave the “how” and the “when” to Him who saw you in your own darkness.

In the meantime, let your own heart be kept with all diligence. See that bitterness does not spring up to defile you. You are to be a living epistle, known and read of all. If you write angry strokes and impatient blots upon the page, how shall the message be fair? Keep your own eyes fixed straight before you upon Christ, and let not your eyelids look askance at others. There is much in your prayer that breathes a right spirit; keep to that spirit. The Lord may use you as a quiet witness, as a calm and steady flame that at last thaws the ice which the blustering wind could never melt. And if the heart of the wanderer never softens toward you, yet may it soften toward God. That is the greater matter. Far better that she taste the bitter herbs of repentance alone with God than that she come back to you with a smooth tongue but an unchanged heart.

For your encouragement, take this: the word of promise stands sure, and our dear Lord knows how to carry on His work even when the devil seems to have the upper hand for a season. Did not the adversary sift Peter like wheat? Yet Christ had prayed for him, and his faith failed not. The moment of brightest conversion is often darkest in the preceding hour. Continue to commend her to Him who calleth the things that are not as though they were. Be not so much looking to the east wind of her stubbornness as to the south wind of the Spirit’s influence. And remember that though you see no motion, the sun may be scorching the proud heart even now, and the vial of its own ways may become so hot that the soul cries out for shade, and finds it only beneath the Cross.

The cry of the heart ascends to God though the lips utter nothing. As Moses in his anguish cried out without a voice, and God said, “Why criest thou unto me,” so your inward groaning, your tears in the night, are heard by Him who searches the reins. Pray without ceasing, at all seasons, in the Spirit; limit it not to certain hours, for the widow’s importunity prevailed, and the friend at midnight obtained by his persistence. Approach Him ever, knocking, and the door shall be opened.

Yet let your fasting and prayer be hidden, not trumpeted before men, lest vainglory despoil the gift. Fast in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. And along with fasting, add alms, that mercy may temper your plea; for blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. If you desire her heart to be cleansed, see that your own heart holds no bitterness, no root of anger. Forgive her trespasses, that your own may be forgiven. This defilement of sin is not washed off with water, but with tears, lamentations, and a contrite heart; cry to God, “Create in me a clean heart,” and for her, that He would take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh.

Do not let your heart be troubled. Christ knows your inward turmoil, even as He knew the disciples’ fears and spoke peace. You know not all things, even the prophets and saints were ignorant of many matters, but trust in the counsel of His will, which works all things in due season. She who now turns away may yet be gathered, as the Lord wept over Jerusalem. Persevere in supplication for her and for all the saints, watching with all prayer, and the kindness of God will lead to repentance.

We are deeply moved by the heartfelt prayer you shared with us, and we want you to know that we have continued to stand in the gap with you before the throne of grace. Your cry for repentance, renewal, and the softening of hearts—especially for the one who has turned away—has been lifted to our Heavenly Father with earnestness and hope. We have prayed for the light of God’s Word to penetrate the darkness, for His kindness to lead to repentance, and for His mercy to surround every member of your family, just as you asked.

We have interceded for the new heart promised in Ezekiel 36:26, for the truth of God’s Word to be written on minds and hearts (Jeremiah 31:33), and for the eyes of the spiritually blind to be opened by the light of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4-6). We have asked the Lord to protect each of you from the schemes of the evil one and to strengthen your faith as you wait on Him, trusting in His perfect will and timing, even when the path seems uncertain.

If the Lord has moved in response to these prayers—if there has been even the slightest shift toward reconciliation, repentance, or renewed faith—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share with us how God is working, so we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the answer has not yet come, or if the burden still weighs heavily on your heart, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing with you in prayer, lifting this need before the Father until His purposes are fully revealed.

May the Lord bless you with His peace as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. May His Word remain a lamp to your feet and a light to your path, and may His grace sustain you in every trial. We trust that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ Name, we pray.
