💝 New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewal by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, over lie of choosing right and wrong for herself, being her own god, Gen 3:4-5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead ###, our families and ourselves where we need it to maximum Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word we praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and lost over ### kilos, yet is still as unwilling to return a text in 3 months, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of the Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, Matt 23:37.

Soften her heart and protect her from evil (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her), Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We hear your cry, a deep, anguished plea for a loved one’s heart to turn back to God and to you. The pain of rejection, the weight of silence, and the longing for reconciliation are heavy burdens, but we stand with you in prayer, clinging to the promises of Scripture and the unchanging character of our Lord.

First, we must address the foundational truth that salvation and transformation come only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this loved one has not surrendered to Christ as Lord, their heart will remain hardened to the things of God. We pray fervently that the eyes of their heart would be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18), that the god of this world would no longer blind them to the truth (2 Corinthians 4:4), and that they would be born again by the Spirit of God (John 3:3). Without this new birth, repentance and reconciliation are impossible.

The desire for divorce and the refusal to reconcile are grave matters that grieve the heart of God. Marriage is a covenant, not a contract, and it is meant to reflect Christ’s faithful love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). The hardness of heart you describe mirrors the rebellion of Israel, whom God longed to gather under His wings but who refused (Matthew 23:37). Yet even now, we declare that nothing is impossible for God (Luke 1:37). We rebuke the spirit of division and hardness, and we command every stronghold of pride, bitterness, and deception to be broken in Jesus’ name.

We must also address the reality of sin in this situation. If there has been unfaithfulness, whether emotional or physical, it is a violation of God’s design for marriage (Hebrews 13:4). If this loved one is persisting in sin without repentance, we pray for conviction to fall upon them like a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). The kindness of God is meant to lead to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we plead for that kindness to overwhelm them, even as we stand firm on the truth of God’s Word.

To you, the one who has prayed, fasted, and pleaded, your faithfulness does not go unnoticed. The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You have not abandoned hope, even when hope seemed lost, and that is a testimony to your trust in God. Yet we must gently remind you that your ultimate refuge is not in the restoration of this marriage, but in the unshakable love of Christ. Even if this loved one never returns, your identity and worth are found in Him alone (Colossians 3:3).

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and this wayward loved one. We declare that You are the God who softens hearts of stone and breathes life into dry bones (Ezekiel 36:26, 37:1-14). Lord, we ask that You would shatter the lies of the enemy that have taken root in this heart, lies that say they can be their own god, that they can define right and wrong for themselves, that they do not need You or this covenant. Expose the deceit of the serpent (Genesis 3:4-5) and flood this soul with Your light (John 1:5).

Father, we pray for conviction to fall like a weight upon this loved one. Let them see their sin as You see it, not to condemn, but to lead them to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Break the chains of pride and rebellion, and let them come to the end of themselves so they may find You. If there has been unfaithfulness, adultery, or emotional betrayal, we ask for a spirit of brokenness and humility to overtake them. Let them remember the vows they made before You and be grieved by their violation of Your holy covenant.

We also pray for the one who has been faithful in prayer. Strengthen them, Lord, in their weakness. Remind them that their hope is not in the return of this spouse, but in You alone. Heal their wounds, restore their joy, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). If this marriage cannot be restored, let them trust You to redeem their pain for Your glory.

Father, we ask for a miracle of reconciliation, but we submit to Your will. If this loved one is to be saved, let it be for Your glory. If they are to remain hardened, let it drive us to our knees in intercession all the more. Raise up godly witnesses in their life, family, friends, or even strangers, who will speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Let Your Word not return void (Isaiah 55:11), but accomplish the purpose for which You sent it.

We plead the blood of Jesus over this situation. Let every plan of the enemy be thwarted, and let Your kingdom come in this marriage and this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18).

Finally, Lord, we ask for the grace to fast and pray as the early church did (Acts 13:2-3). Let our prayers and fasting lend wings to our intercession, that we may see breakthrough in this situation. Sanctify us by Your truth, for Your Word is truth (John 17:17). Keep us from the evil one, and let us not be taken out of this world, but kept from its corruption (John 17:15).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), the One who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

We can feel the weight of your words, the months of silence, the kilos lost, the prayers that feel unanswered. When a spouse says they are done and refuses contact, it lands like a death. That kind of grief is real, and we grieve with you.

In our own lives and in walking with others through divorce, we have seen how easy it is to become so focused on the other person’s return that we neglect the care of our own soul. You mentioned neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls; we gently encourage you to pick those back up. Not as a strategy to win her back, but because you need steady spiritual companionship right now. A pastor or a mature Christian friend can help you carry this, and a Christian counselor can give you space to process the loss in a way that honors God while letting you heal.

While you pray for her heart to soften, and we will join you, remember that your own heart matters deeply to God. The pain, the waiting, the temptation to despair: He sees it all, and He does not ask you to pretend otherwise. Give yourself permission to grieve, to rest, and to be nourished physically and emotionally. God’s kindness is big enough to hold both your ache and your hope.

Father, we lift up this weary one to You. You know the depth of this hurt, the unanswered texts, the covenant that feels shattered. Wrap them in Your steady love. Give them the courage to reach out for wise support again. For the one who has turned away, we ask that You would gently unsettle what is false, protect them from evil, and draw them toward repentance in Your timing, not ours. But most of all, hold our friend close, be their refuge when hope feels thin, and grant them peace that does not depend on outcomes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The burden you carry for this wandering soul is heavy, yet it is a token of the Spirit’s work in your own heart that you thus intercede. You have rightly set before the Lord the promise of a new heart and the opening of blind eyes, for these are the very miracles of grace which must be wrought if any sinner is to be turned from darkness to light. Yet remember that the heart by nature is stony, and sin hardens it the more through its deceitfulness. As I have said before, the first sin that came into the world hardened man’s heart in a most terrific manner, and every indulgence of sin thereafter adds layer upon layer of insensibility. That is why the one for whom you pray can remain so long without answering, so deaf to all entreaty. It is the terrible hardening power of sin.

But there is a remedy. The Lord alone can take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh. No man can make himself a new heart; the very cry for it is proof that the new life has begun. Yet we are to use the means: exhort one another daily, lest any be hardened. The Word of God is the sword which the Spirit uses to prick the heart. It was Peter’s sermon, full of Scripture, that pierced the hearers and brought them to cry out, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Therefore, continue to bathe this soul in the promises and warnings of Scripture, believing that the light of God’s Word can scatter the darkness. Even now, though you see no fruit, the Spirit may be secretly at work, begetting desires and a sense of need. Hagar saw not the well till her eyes were opened, but it was there all the while. So Christ is near to the thirsty soul, though they perceive Him not.

Guard your own heart, lest in waiting you fall into a divided state or grow hard through the bitterness of grief. A divided heart is a fearful disease; it robs us of strength and peace. Keep your heart fixed upon God, and trust not in princes or in favourable circumstances. The timing of repentance is in God’s hands; He is not willing that any should perish. Your fasting and prayers are not in vain; they are wings to the petitions that ascend before the throne. Wait, then, with patience, and let the kindness of God that leads to repentance be your confidence. He who turned the heart of Manasseh and the prodigal son can yet turn this heart. He can make the one who now refuses to return a text to come with weeping and seek the way home. Pray on, hope on, and look for the day when you shall sing, “O Lord, I will praise Thee: though Thou wast angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, and Thou comfortest me.”

You write of one who will not answer a text, who wants divorce, who has set her face as flint. You grieve, and your flesh wastes away. This grief of yours, when it springs from love for a soul wandering far from God, is a holy thing. For godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation, a repentance that brings no regret. Paul himself was poured out in tears and anguish of heart for those who stumbled. Do not despise your tears; the Lord pronounces blessed those who mourn in such a way.

But see what the prophet says: their ears have become heavy, their eyes they have closed, lest they should see and hear and turn. She has inflicted this on herself; no one binds the heart faster than the one who cries, “I will be my own god, I will decide good and evil.” That ancient serpent hisses the same lie still. Yet the cross of Christ has opened gates of hell, torn away the devil’s power, and quenched every venom. That same power can break a heart of stone. Continue then in prayer; add fasting where grace permits, for fasting gives wings to prayer. And do not neglect the counsel of those set over the flock; the church is a hospital, and he who refuses the physician’s word prolongs his fever.

Still, remember that even saints did not know all things. Elijah thought himself alone until God revealed the seven thousand. Samuel looked at outward appearance and would have anointed the wrong son. You see one thing; God sees another. Her silence, her hardness, the months without a word, these are not final words. Take refuge in God, not in princes, nor in your own cherished hopes. He who turns the king’s heart as a channel of water can turn one soul, even if it seems now like Jerusalem refusing to be gathered.

While you wait, let your own limbs be healed. If you turn from inhumanity to almsgiving, the withered hand stretches forth. If you withdraw your eyes from vain things and fix them upon holy things, the blind eyes open. If instead of songs of the world you learn spiritual psalms, the mute tongue speaks. Become a living epistle known and read by all, that even without a word the truth may be portrayed before her. This is the kindness meant to lead to repentance, not your anxiety, but the light of Christ shining through your own transfigured life.

Do not think the delay means God does not hear. The righteous will shine like the sun, and the Judge needs no records, for all things are naked and open to His eyes. He desires all to come to repentance; He will not force, but He will pursue. Entrust her to Him, and say with the Psalmist, “I trust in God, whose word I praise.” Who can tell whether the very silence is the furnace in which His new heart is being forged? A heart of flesh is not given without the old heart first being broken. Peace be with you as you stand fast in this trial.
