We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus. Father God, we know that You are a God of justice, peace, and righteousness, and we ask that You intervene in this family matter. Your Word tells us in Colossians 3:15, "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." Lord, we pray that Your peace would rule in the hearts of this family as they discuss the sale of their late parents' home. May Your wisdom guide their words and actions, and may Your love soften any hardness of heart.

We also lift up the pain and frustration that has come from past conflicts. It is clear that there has been division and unfair treatment, and we ask that You bring healing to these wounds. Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Lord, we pray that gentle and respectful words would prevail in these discussions, and that pride would be set aside for the sake of unity.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of greed, selfishness, or entitlement that may be at work in this situation. Your Word warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." We pray that hearts would be turned toward fairness, generosity, and love for one another rather than personal gain.

We also ask that You give this husband and wife strength and discernment as they navigate this difficult decision. It is not easy to let go of a home filled with memories, but we trust that You have a plan for their future. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Lord, we pray that this family would find hope and a future in You, even amid this trial.

Lastly, we ask that You would bring reconciliation where there has been brokenness. Matthew 5:23-24 says, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." Lord, we pray that any offenses would be addressed with humility and forgiveness, and that relationships would be restored for Your glory.

We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus, the One who reconciles us to You and to one another. Amen.

It is understandable that this feels so heavy and unfair. Being forced out of a family home, then watching others enjoy it while being excluded from decisions, that kind of hurt does not just disappear. We are glad your husband is choosing to take this step toward resolution, even while it is painful for him. That takes real courage.

When we face conversations like this, old wounds can easily steer the tone. One thing that helps is to ground the discussion in what is practical now, not what should have been. You might encourage him to write down a clear, simple plan: what a fair sale and division looks like, just the facts on paper. That can keep the talk from spiraling back into past grievances. If things get tense, having a calm, neutral third party present, maybe a trusted friend or even a family lawyer, can help keep the focus where it needs to be.

But the deeper work is in the heart. The unfairness stings, and we would not want it to settle into a bitterness that weighs him down long after the house is sold. Releasing the debt does not mean pretending it did not hurt; it means choosing not to carry that weight anymore, so it does not keep stealing his peace. It is okay to name the hurt honestly with God, He already knows, and to ask Him to guard your husband’s spirit during that conversation.

Jesus, we lift up this husband who is carrying a heavy mix of grief, frustration, and hope. As he prepares to sit down with his siblings, give him a steady spirit and a guarded tongue. Let Your peace settle over that discussion, even if things get difficult. We ask for a fair outcome and for the old wounds to lose their power over him. Keep this couple united and give them wisdom each step of the way. In Your name, amen.

The sorrow of injustice bites deeply, and it is no small trial when those who should be brethren deal selfishly with one another. But herein is the Lord’s purpose: to draw your husband and your household away from the bitter springs of earthly expectation and to the ever-flowing fountain of peace in Christ Jesus. It is not the resolution of the property that will bring you quietness, but the steadfast mind stayed upon Jehovah, for He alone keeps us in perfect peace, peace, peace, even when the waves of wrong surge high. Look not to the siblings' fairness, nor to the money, but to the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within. That is a peace no man can steal, no house can contain, and no court can award. It is the legacy of the Saviour to His own: “My peace I give unto you.”

Urge your husband to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. When the heart is fixed upon Christ, the sharp edges of human unkindness are blunted. Yet remember, too, that our inheritance in Him is measureless; what is a house of brick and memory compared to the riches of glory? That does not make the earthly hurt less real, but it does place it under the shadow of the Cross. I pray that you both may go into this hard discussion not armed with grievances, but clad in the meekness of wisdom from above. While you speak truth, speak it in love, and hold your peace by trusting in the Righteous Judge. As for the unfairness you have borne, cast it upon Him who cares for you. The Lord knows how to vindicate His children, and often His silence is not neglect but the preparation of a greater blessing. Go in peace, not because circumstances have altered, but because He who is your peace has not altered. And in that peace, let your requests be made known unto God with thanksgiving, for He shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Cease to call that peace which comes from agreement in evil. For even robbers have concord, but such peace ends in destruction. The discord you experienced when forced to leave may yet yield a good peace, if it exposes the root of covetousness. Every conflict springs from love of earthly things. If your husband’s siblings have enjoyed the house unjustly, what have they gained? They have stolen honor and property, but truly they have only robbed themselves, storing up wrath. Your husband, if he sets his mind on heavenly treasure, loses nothing. His money may be taken, but his true wealth remains untouched.

Therefore, do not rush into this conflict. When we are not summoned, it is best to be quiet and wait, lest vainglory or anger fuel our words. But if the matter forces itself, then stand nobly. Your husband’s resolve to sell for the sake of fairness is not wrong, provided his heart is free from greed. Let him speak with a spirit that despises the things of earth, seeking only to cut out the root of discord. And you, his wife, cleave to him in love. A house divided cannot stand, but when husband and wife agree, there is strength to endure any trial.

Will I pronounce peace? I do not cease to speak peace, even to those who reject it. But know this: the peace I pray for is not a flattering truce that leaves injustice intact. It is the peace that comes when the diseased part is cut off, when all are of one soul in what is right. The Lord’s greatest glory is that His disciples be one; yet that unity is bound in truth, not in sharing spoils. So I pray for you: that your husband may be holy, not merely free from this strife, but adorned with the Spirit’s fruit, so that even now, as his conflicts draw near their end, he may gain a brighter crown. And you, by standing by him, by soothing him with words and bearing his burden, become a sharer in that crown.

Despise the house, the money, the slight. Seek first the kingdom, and all these things will find their proper settlement. I will pray for that true peace to descend upon your household.

This is one of those crossroads where the weight of family history, loss, and a sense of deep unfairness all press in at once. What surfaces quickly is the need for a peace that does not depend on how well the conversation goes or how reasonably the siblings respond. There is a peace God gives that keeps the heart and mind, and it is promised to those whose minds are stayed on Him. Not on the siblings. Not on the house. Not on the hurt of being forced out or the silence during those eight months. All of that is real and painful, but it cannot be the anchor for the soul in the days ahead.

The first thing to hold onto is this: you already have peace with God through the blood of Jesus Christ. If that is settled, then the deeper war is over. The chaos of this family dispute is an outer storm, not an inner verdict. There is an experience of peace that goes beyond that initial reconciliation, a keeping peace, a perfect peace that fills the heart when the mind is deliberately fixed on Christ. It is not automatic. It comes as trust is placed in Him to handle what is beyond human control. The selling of the house, the division of the proceeds, the history of being treated as outsiders in a place you once called home, all of that can be handed over to the One who ordains peace for His people.

Your husband’s decision to sell is indeed a hard one, but there is a difference between being forced and choosing a path toward resolution. A step taken voluntarily, even through grief, can be an act of sowing peace. And the wisdom from above is peaceable. Sowing peace does not mean pretending the unfairness never happened. It means refusing to let the unfairness dictate the spirit in which you and your husband move forward. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. That does not require being doormats; it requires a heart posture that seeks a clean resolution so that everyone receives their portion and the chapter can close.

It is easy in these moments to fixate on what the siblings enjoyed and what your husband lost. That kind of accounting will eat at the soul. What lifts the eyes is remembering the inheritance that can never be taken, corrupted, or divided by family strife. You have been born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. You have an inheritance reserved in heaven for you, kept by the power of God. Compared to that, even a family home is a temporary allotment. There were those in Scripture who received no property at all because the Lord Himself was their inheritance, and that was the better portion by far. Let that truth put everything else into its proper place.

When he sits down with his siblings, may he carry a quiet confidence that is not rooted in who is right or wrong, but in the Prince of Peace who keeps His own. The desire for peace is not weakness. It is a mark of those who know their ultimate future is secure. Let the conversation be free of accusation and free of fear, because his mind is not on them but on the Lord who sees, who knows, and who will bring an expected end out of this captivity.

So pray toward that peace. Ask the Lord to keep your husband’s heart and mind. Ask for the sort of calm that confounds those who expect strife. God’s thoughts toward you are for peace, not evil, and He has not forgotten you in this hard season. May the grace and peace that come from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied to you both in the middle of this very hour.

We want to thank you for trusting us with your prayer request and allowing us to stand in agreement with you during this difficult time. It’s clear that this situation has brought deep emotional strain, not only because of the memories tied to the house but also because of the unresolved tensions with your husband’s siblings. We have been lifting up your husband, asking the Lord to grant him wisdom, patience, and a spirit of peace as he prepares to discuss the sale of the home. May God soften hearts, open lines of communication, and bring clarity to every conversation so that fairness and unity can prevail.

We also continue to pray for you, that the Lord would comfort you both as you navigate the grief of leaving a place filled with memories and the frustration of feeling overlooked. May He remind you of His faithfulness and provision, even in times of uncertainty. If the Lord has already moved in this situation—whether through a breakthrough in the discussions, a sense of peace, or even a resolution—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the answer hasn’t come yet, please know we are still here to stand with you in prayer. You are not alone in this.

Let us continue to seek the Lord together, trusting that He sees every detail and will work all things for good according to His perfect will. May His grace sustain you, His love surround you, and His peace guard your hearts as you wait on Him. We pray all these things in Jesus’ name.
