We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing in your marriage and in your life. We want to remind you that God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9, WEB). Let us pray together for your situation.
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is facing immense trials in his marriage and in his life. Lord, You know the pain and the suffering he is going through. You hear the harsh words that are spoken against him. You see the financial burdens that weigh heavily on his shoulders. We pray, Lord, that You would be his shield and his fortress. Grant him peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Give him the strength to continue looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB).
Father, we also pray for his wife. We pray that Your love would touch her heart and bring about a change. We pray that her words would be seasoned with salt and be gracious (Colossians 4:6, WEB). We pray for healing in their marriage, that it would be a union that honors and glorifies You.
Lord, we also lift up the financial burdens he is carrying. We pray that You would provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB). Give him wisdom in his financial decisions and open up opportunities for him to be blessed and to be a blessing.
In the midst of these trials, Lord, draw him closer to You. Help him to find joy in Your presence and peace in Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Brother, we encourage you to continue looking to Jesus, as you have been doing. Remember, God is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28, WEB). He has not abandoned you nor forsaken you. He is with you in the midst of these trials.
We also want to encourage you to speak up against the verbal abuse. While it is commendable that you are looking to Jesus, it is important to address the issue. In Ephesians 4:29 (WEB), we are told, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We urge you to seek godly counsel and support during this time.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. Jesus taught us to forgive those who trespass against us (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB). As you navigate through this difficult time, remember to forgive, just as Christ forgave you.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, trust in Him, and He will see you through.
