we place our life, our trials, and our unknowns completely into Your hands. Give us eyes of faith like the soaring eagle—able to look past us

Prayer for Job 39:30 :
“Its brood gulps down blood, and wherever corpses lie, it is there.”

Our prayer:
Heavenly Father, You hold the entire universe together. You provide for the eagle and its brood in high and hidden places. Your wisdom reaches down to every small detail of life and death. Forgive us when we question Your ways. We often look at the pain or confusion around us and forget that You see the whole picture. We judge Your governance by our small, limited view. Help us to rest in Your sovereignty. Just as You sustain the wild creatures that live by instincts we cannot manage, we place our life, our trials, and our unknowns completely into Your hands. Give us eyes of faith like the soaring eagle—able to look past our immediate troubles and perceive Your presence from above. Equip us to trust You when life is harsh or hard to understand. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

We join with you in lifting this prayer before the throne of grace, acknowledging the sovereignty and wisdom of our Heavenly Father. Your words reflect a deep longing to trust God even when life’s circumstances are difficult to understand, and we stand with you in that desire. The passage from Job 39:30 is a powerful reminder of God’s intricate design in creation, even in the harsh realities of the natural world, His provision and purpose remain. The eagle, a majestic creature, soars above the storms, seeing what we cannot from our limited perspective below. How much more should we, as God’s children, trust in His higher vantage point over our lives?

Your prayer beautifully captures the tension between our finite understanding and God’s infinite wisdom. It is natural to question or struggle when we face trials, but Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Even when we cannot see the full picture, we can rest in the knowledge that God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

We also want to encourage you to hold fast to the truth that Jesus Christ is the ultimate revelation of God’s character and love. He is not just the "Bread of Heaven" or the "Word of Life", He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. If you have not already, we urge you to place your faith fully in Him, confessing Him as Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of awe for Your sovereignty and grace. You are the Creator of all things, the One who sustains the eagle in its high places and provides for the smallest of creatures. We confess that too often, we allow our limited perspective to shake our trust in You. Forgive us for the times we have doubted Your goodness or questioned Your ways. Lord, we ask that You would give us eyes of faith, eyes that see beyond our immediate struggles and fix our gaze on You. Strengthen our hearts to trust You even when life is painful or confusing. Remind us that You are working all things together for our good and Your glory.

We thank You for Jesus Christ, the Living Word, who came to reveal Your love and redeem us from sin. Help us to cling to Him in every season, knowing that He is our hope and our peace. May we soar on wings like eagles, rising above the storms of life with confidence in Your unfailing care. Equip us to walk in faith, not by sight, and to rest in Your promises. We surrender our trials, our unknowns, and our lives into Your hands, trusting that You hold us securely. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek God’s face through His Word and prayer, for it is in His presence that we find the strength to endure and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). May He bless you with a deeper revelation of His love and a steadfast faith that does not waver.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. The longing for the eagle's eyes is one we know well: we see pain and confusion close up, and we can lose sight of the wider view God holds. We are grateful that you have named the truest thing you can do, place your life, your trials, and your unknowns completely into His hands. That is not a one-time surrender. It is a daily returning, especially on days when life is harsh or hard to understand.

When the questions press in, we would simply encourage you to keep praying the words you have already prayed. Speak them aloud each morning, and let them be your standing answer when your mind demands to know more than you can see. You do not need to manufacture confidence. You are held by a God who came near in Jesus and understands the weight of the broken and unexplained.

Father, thank You for this one who is choosing to trust You with the unknown. Steady their heart today. Give them the quiet rest of knowing they are seen, carried, and not forgotten. Free them from the pressure to understand everything, and replace confusion with the peace of Your presence. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer is a wise and needful one, to place your life, your trials and your unknowns completely into the hands of Him who holds the entire universe together. It is the posture of faith to rest not upon your own understanding, but upon the sovereignty of God who governs all things, from the highest heavens to the hidden clefts where the eagle makes her nest.

You have well observed the lesson of Job 39:30. The Lord Himself points Job to the eagle and her brood, to show that His wisdom reaches down to every small detail of life and death, even to where corpses lie. What seems to us harsh or hard to understand is not beyond His sight or His rule. We judge His governance by our small and limited view, and we forget that He sees the whole picture. Under the most adverse circumstances, in the most severe troubles, they who know their God believe that Sovereignty hath ordained their afflictions, that Sovereignty overrules them, and that Sovereignty will sanctify them all. So you do well to ask for forgiveness when you question His ways, and to seek grace to rest in His sovereign hand.

You ask for eyes of faith like the soaring eagle, able to look past immediate troubles and perceive His presence from above. This is indeed what faith does. It does not live on anything less substantial than bread from Heaven. God's people will never thrive on less than God's promise and God's truth. That Bread of Heaven, that Word of Life, is Christ Himself, for Jesus is the Word of God. Look unto Him and be saved. In all your troubles, in all your trials and afflictions, look unto Christ and find deliverance. If every form of iniquity were heaped upon you, yet let the crimson blood of Jesus come into contact with your crimson sins and they shall vanish all away. It is cheap faith to take Christ as the saints Savior, but it is the faith of God's elect to take Him as the sinner's Savior, and as such He is freely offered to you.

Therefore be of good courage. He who sustains the wild creatures that live by instincts you cannot manage will surely sustain you. He was your teacher from your youth, and He will be your keeper to the end. He may lead you where His footsteps cannot be traced, and His ways you cannot guess, but His work in you and for you is wondrous and shall be for your good. Trust Him when life is harsh. Look past what is seen to Him who is unseen, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

May the Lord give you that quiet confidence, that you may say with the psalmist, what time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee, and may He keep you feeding daily upon Christ, your Bread, your Life, your All, till faith shall end in sight.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
