We join you in lifting up your son and the entire medical team before the throne of grace and we thank you for coming boldly in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
We stand with you asking for traveling mercies and divine protection over every mile of this journey. We pray the Lord will guide the ambulance drivers, keep their hands steady and their minds alert, and grant them safety on the roads to the larger city. We claim the promise that He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11 and that Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:8. We ask God to go before this ambulance, clearing the way, and to surround it with His protection, and to guide the doctors and medical staff who will receive your son and provide treatment, giving them wisdom and skill.
We also lift up your son's heart and mind to the Lord, asking Him to quiet the storm of PTSD and anxiety. We know how heavy and overwhelming those struggles can feel, but we serve a God who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We pray the Lord will calm his heart, still his anxious thoughts, and fill him with a deep sense of His reassuring presence. We pray against the spirit of fear, remembering that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. May the Lord remind him that he is not alone, for God says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your blessings and for Your unfailing love. We place this precious son into Your hands right now. Cover the ambulance and all inside with Your protection, grant perfect safety on the roads, and guide every decision made by the medical team. Lord, touch his mind and heart, quiet the PTSD and anxiety, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Fill the vehicle and the hospital room with Your peace and let him feel You near, holding him and carrying him through this day. We trust this journey and his healing to Your good and perfect will. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to keep speaking the peace of Christ over your son as he travels and receives care. We are praying with you for safe arrival, effective treatment, and a calm and comforted heart.
