Travel Plan

Humble Prayer Partner
Dear Lord Jesus, Please let me travel in the future with Glorifying Religous gigs. Stay at my old home for a time and find a good new one. I want to start next year. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart’s desire to travel for the purpose of glorifying God through religious engagements, and we join you in seeking His will for this journey. The Lord delights in those who seek to honor Him with their lives, and we believe He can open doors for you to serve Him in this way. However, we must also encourage you to seek His guidance with patience and wisdom, trusting that His timing is perfect.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:9, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps." While you have a plan in mind, we pray that the Lord will order your steps according to His will. If it is His purpose for you to travel for religious gigs, He will make a way. We also encourage you to seek confirmation through prayer, Scripture, and godly counsel, as Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

Regarding your desire to stay at your old home for a time and then find a new one, we pray that the Lord will provide clarity and peace in this transition. Whether He leads you to remain where you are or move to a new place, we trust that He will guide you. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Let your focus remain on seeking Him above all else, and He will provide for your needs.

We also want to gently remind you that while travel and new beginnings can be exciting, they should not distract you from your current responsibilities or relationships. If the Lord has placed you in a local church or community where you can serve Him now, we encourage you to remain faithful in that place until He clearly calls you elsewhere. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

Now, let us lift this request to the Lord together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the desire You have placed in this brother/sister’s heart to serve You through travel and ministry. Lord, we ask that You would direct their steps and open doors for them to glorify You in this way. If it is Your will for them to travel for religious gigs, we pray that You would make a clear path before them, providing the resources, connections, and opportunities they need. Guide them in their planning, and let Your peace guard their heart as they wait on Your timing.

Father, we also pray for their living situation. If it is Your will for them to stay in their old home for a time, give them contentment and purpose in that season. If You are calling them to a new home, provide one that is a blessing to them and a place where they can continue to grow in You. Help them to seek Your Kingdom first in all things, trusting that You will add all that they need.

Lord, we ask that You would protect them from distraction or discouragement as they wait. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are working all things together for their good. Surround them with godly counsel and confirm Your will for them through Your Word and the wisdom of others. May they walk in obedience to You, whether that means staying or going, and may their life bring glory to Your name.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone makes our paths straight and our steps sure. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, remaining open to His leading even if it looks different from what you have planned. Trust that He knows what is best for you and will guide you accordingly. If you have not already, consider sharing this desire with your local church leadership or trusted Christian friends, as they may be able to provide wisdom and support as you discern God’s will. May the Lord bless you richly as you seek to honor Him in all things.

Your request for traveling to glorify God in religious work, along with finding a good home, stirs our hearts. We see in it a genuine desire for your gifts and your living situation to align in a way that honors the Lord, and that vision is worth celebrating.

What stands out to us is that you didn’t just ask for open doors, you asked to glorify God through the work itself. That kind of grounding can steady you as you make practical plans. While you wait and prepare, sometimes the wisest next move is to start making quiet, reversible decisions in the direction you sense God leading, maybe researching opportunities, setting aside savings, or reconnecting with whoever still lives near your old home to smooth the path for a temporary stay.

At the same time, finding a “good new one” often involves seasons of uncertainty. The waiting won’t be wasted if it draws you deeper into trust rather than anxiety. Your hope isn’t in a flawless timeline; it’s in the One who goes before you.

We pray with you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this child of Yours who longs to serve You through religious work and to find a safe, suitable place to call home. Lead them to the right opportunities and provide clear direction for the timing. Protect them from discouragement if the path unfolds slowly, and give them practical wisdom for each small step along the way. We trust You to open doors no one can shut and to provide a dwelling place that brings peace. In Your name we ask this, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have done well to bring these desires for home and holy service before the Lord. It is written that charity begins at home, and so should piety, that is the best religion which is most at home. When the Lord is there, every window looks towards the Celestial City, and that cottage home becomes dear to God, a place where angels come and go. May all men one day say of your dwelling, "The Lord is there."

As for your longing to travel with glorifying religious work, remember the Model Home Mission. Our Lord went about doing good, and though He went to the very borders of the land, He began with those nearest. If you would see this work established, next to the ordinance of preaching, there must be diligence in training up souls in the knowledge of the written Word. And be certain that He who planted the spiritual ear shall hear your cry for guidance. He that gave you the desire to serve Him will not deny it to you.

You speak of starting next year. The eyes of the Lord are always upon His own, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year. He has been mindful of us in the past, and He will bless us in the future. Turn over a new leaf with good heart of hope. Whether you abide in your old home for a season or find the new one He appoints, you are a day's march nearer your eternal Home. Let this year see how God can glorify Himself in the hearts of feeble men and women.

You ask the Lord to grant you travel with religious gigs and a home. But consider carefully: what does it mean to glorify God? Not simply to move from place to place, but to carry a heart wholly occupied with Him. Seek the Lord as one seeks lost gold, with labor, with enquiry, journeying even from your own house, as the Psalmist says, “I sought the Lord with my hands by night before Him, and I was not deceived.” Do you concentrate your mind? Do you ask of everyone? Do you promise to spend your days not on your own ease, but on the work of heaven? Let this be your first travel, the journey of the soul toward its Maker.

Do not make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. I do not forbid you a home or the necessaries of life, but I warn you against going beyond necessity into wantonness. When you plan your lodging, seek health, not softness; seek a shelter for the body, not a furnace for the passions. For the present life is a sleep, and its comforts are dreams. The man who grows rich in a dream gains nothing when the day breaks; so too, if you set your affection on a fine house or the applause that may come with religious travel, you will awake to find empty hands and a soul weighed down. The real journey is toward the judgment seat of Christ, who will come from heaven. Set your hope there, not on starting next year in some new dwelling.

Travel, then, but let your travel be along the ways of holy employments. Spend your time in prayer, in charity, in sober watchfulness. If you give yourself wholly to these, the devil will find no open door through idle curiosity or soft living. Prune away every excess, so that your voyage through this life does not end as a battered ship, the planks loosened by carelessness, arriving at the harbor with bilgewater instead of spiritual merchandise. Toil a little while now, and by the grace and lovingkindness of our Lord Jesus Christ you will gain eternal goods, in that true home which no earthquake shakes and no thief enters.

Your prayer for travel, a season in your old home, and a new place to settle is a doorway into something fresh God is doing. The desire to glorify Him through your work is a beautiful thing, and He takes note of a heart set on honoring Him. Yet when we stand on the edge of a new year and a new beginning, there is a lesson from Scripture that keeps surfacing: you cannot pour new wine into old wineskins. The old containers have served their purpose, but they cannot stretch to hold what God is about to do next. So come to Him not with a set of rigid plans or a formula borrowed from another season, but with open hands, asking for fresh wisdom for this specific step.

You mentioned wanting to stay at your old home for a time. There can be comfort in the familiar, a place where you remember His past faithfulness. But even that, if clung to too tightly, can become like the old wineskin or the moldy bread the Israelites carried when they failed to inquire of the Lord. The old nature, even the old ways we once knew God, can limit us. God gives a new name, a new identity, yet we often slip back into the old patterns of thinking. Notice in your own words the contrast: old home, new home. Transition. The Lord may allow a brief season in the old to remind you of His goodness, but His call is always forward into an inheritance you have not yet possessed. The children of Israel entered the land, but they still faced battles. The new life in the Spirit is rich, but it requires us to reckon the old man dead.

If you look at the rhythm God gave His people, every seventh year was a rest for the land, and the Jubilee year was a crowning celebration of release. It came after a Sabbath of Sabbath years, as if God was saying, “I will provide so abundantly in the sixth year that you can step into rest without fear.” Starting next year might be your own kind of Jubilee, a season to trust His provision as you step away from familiar labor. But do not set your hope on a man-made calculation of a year. The point is not the date on a calendar but the posture of faith: the old covenant depended on man’s effort and failed; the new covenant rests entirely on God’s faithfulness. He has made you a new creature in Christ, and the old things are passing away. That includes old anxieties about provision, old ways of making things happen.

As you plan these religious engagements, be careful not to wrap the new thing God is doing in old religious systems. Tradition has a way of making us say, “The old is better,” even when God is breaking the skins to give new wine. The religious leaders of Jesus’ day clung to their traditions and missed the Mediator of a better covenant. Jesus did not come to patch up an old garment but to build something entirely new, where forgiveness is complete and His Spirit writes the law on our hearts. So when you go to these gigs, go not as a performer tied to a routine, but as one who has died and now lives by the life of Christ. Let every engagement flow from a quiet center of having first put God at the center of your plans. When we give Him the first, He fills the presses with new wine.

So here is my counsel: take this next year as a clean sheet. Spend this time ahead, before the travel begins, in a kind of Sabbath rest of the soul, asking the Lord for specific strategy. What worked in one place will not necessarily work in another. Joshua learned that the hard way with the Gibeonites; he sized up their story without seeking the Lord’s mouth, and the old bread and worn sandals fooled him. Do not let what looks obvious from the outside be your guide. Inquire of the Lord. He has a new tactic for this new season.

And as for a new home, trust that He who swore to Abraham is the same God who leads you. He sees the scars from the past and He alone can heal them and write a new story. Old psychic wounds and disappointments do not determine your future. You are in Christ, and He makes all things new. The God of the Old Testament who revealed Himself as merciful, gracious, and long-suffering is the very same God who judged sin on the cross so that you could walk in newness of life. He does not change. So bring your travel plans before Him, hold them loosely, and let His Spirit direct. He will either confirm the path or gently close the door, and either way, you can rest in His governance. May this coming year be marked not by the anxiety of making everything happen, but by the deep joy of seeing Jesus, your Mediator, go before you and prepare the way.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, sharing your desire to travel for the glory of God and to find a new home where you can continue to serve Him. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up your plans to the Lord and asking Him to guide your steps as you seek His will for this next season of your life.

If God has already begun to open doors—whether through opportunities to travel, clarity about where to move, or peace in your heart about the timing—we would love to hear your praise report! Please share how He is working so we can rejoice with you. If, however, you’re still waiting and feel led to keep seeking the Lord’s direction, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, asking the Father to make your path clear and to align every detail according to His perfect plan.

May the Lord bless you with wisdom, patience, and unwavering faith as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that He will go before you, prepare the way, and fill your heart with His peace as you trust in His timing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
