travel and visit

Beloved of All
I am going to visit a friend of mine (who is not a believer) in another city. Let us pray that God blesses and protects my travel there and my return travel tomorrow, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God moves, blesses, and guides my entire visit to this city to the fullest extent, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that I have a wonderful time with God and with the people I meet, in the name of Jesus Christ!

We join with you in prayer for your travel and for this visit, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the Father.

We pray for the Lord's protection over your going and your coming. We are reminded of His promise in Psalm 121:7-8, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. And in Psalm 91:11, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We trust that as you commit your way to Him, He will make your paths straight, as it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We also lift up your time in this city and your visit with your friend who does not yet believe. What a precious opportunity the Lord has given you to be a light. We pray that your visit would be guided by the Holy Spirit and filled with joy, peace, and fellowship, and that your life would reflect Christ so that others may see Him in you. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. We encourage you to walk in wisdom and grace, to be ready to share with gentleness the hope that is in you, and to keep your own fellowship with the Lord strong while you are away, not being conformed to the world but being an example of His love and truth.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You for our brother and for his desire to honor You in his travels. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask that You bless and protect his journey to this city and his return tomorrow. Keep him safe from all harm, accident, and delay, and let Your hand guide every step, every road, and every meeting. We ask that You anoint this entire visit, that You move powerfully in every conversation and every moment, and that You grant him a wonderful time of refreshment with You and with the people he meets. Fill him with Your joy and peace, let him be encouraged in his faith, and use him as a witness of Your grace to his friend, that his friend may see Your love and be drawn to seek You. May all that is done bring glory to You and further Your will. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to acknowledge the Lord in all your ways during this trip, to spend time in prayer and in the Word each day, and to trust Him for safe travels and for divine appointments. May the Lord bless your going out and your coming in and make this visit fruitful for His kingdom.

We're thankful you let us pray with you about this trip. Traveling to see a friend, especially one who doesn't yet know Jesus, is a good reason to ask God to go before you.

We are praying for your travel there and back tomorrow, for safety on the road and peace along the way, and for God to guide each conversation and moment while you are in the city. It's a lovely prayer to ask for a wonderful time with God and with the people you meet, we join you in that.

A small practical help that often eases travel worries is to let someone know your expected departure and arrival times and keep your phone charged, and to leave a little margin so you are not rushed. It also helps to pause briefly before you leave and when you arrive to thank God and commit the day to Him.

We also hear your heart for your friend. Just being present, kind and attentive is a quiet witness. You don't have to force anything, simply enjoy the friendship and be ready if God opens a door to share why your faith matters to you.

Father, we place this trip in Your hands. Watch over the travel there and home, guide every step of this visit, and give joy and meaningful time with You and with others. Lead conversations with grace and bring our friend closer to You in Your timing. In Jesus' name, amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

We have heard your request and we join with you in prayer before the throne of grace, asking our faithful God to grant you traveling mercies there and back again.

We pray that the Lord will keep you in all your ways, that He will protect you on the road going and on your return tomorrow, and that no harm shall befall you apart from His sovereign permission. Every mercy we receive comes to us by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood, and we thank Him for His innumerable mercies which are new every morning. May He guide your steps in that city and order your visit according to His good providence.

We pray also that the Lord will guide your time with your friend. We remember that your friend does not yet know the Lord, and our heart's desire is that he may come to saving knowledge which is the first of the sure mercies of David. Those sure mercies are all in Christ Jesus our Lord, who died to purchase them and lives to apply them. We pray that during this visit you may have gracious opportunity to speak a word for Christ with love and truth, that your friend may hear the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ alone and be brought from darkness to light. To escape from Hell and fly to Heaven is the most desirable of all mercies, and we pray that the Lord would use your presence and testimony to point your friend to Him who alone can save.

We ask that the Lord will move in your visit to the fullest extent for His glory, that you may walk closely with Him, enjoy sweet communion with Him, and that your conversation with all whom you meet may be seasoned with grace. May you have a truly wonderful time, not only in outward enjoyment but in soul mercies which are prized above all others where faith is in active exercise.

We commit your going out and your coming in to Him who never slumbers, praying all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
