Totally lost it

When someone seems to have lost all control, it can feel terrifying and hopeless. But that is often the very place where the cry for real help begins. As long as we think we can manage, we keep reaching for another self-help program or leaning on the arm of flesh. Yet the help of man is utterly vain, we are all in the same boat. What we truly need is outside intervention, a deliverance that only God Himself can supply.

I think of the apostle Paul when he finally threw off every formula and cried, “Who shall deliver me?” He had come to the end of himself. No longer was he asking for techniques to do better, but for someone to rescue him. That is where hope breaks through: “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Victory does not come by straining harder, but by turning to the One whose strength is made perfect in our weakness.

So, bring this man before the throne of grace. Do not look to Egypt for a quick fix; do not trust in human plans that promise much and deliver nothing. Our help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth. Cry out for him, God is a very present help in trouble. He hears when we call, delivers from distress, and even when the mind feels shattered, He can restore and give peace.

Take this situation you cannot handle and place it in God’s hands. Wait upon Him. Trust in Him, not in formulas or panic-driven schemes. He is your defense and refuge, and His mercy endures forever. Prayer will lift you out of the spirit of defeat and bring you into the assurance that God is at work. You are not alone, and this man’s need is not beyond the reach of Jesus Christ.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for this dear man who so desperately needs the Lord’s touch. It’s clear that his heart and mind are in turmoil, and we have lifted him before our Heavenly Father, asking for divine intervention, clarity, and peace to flood his life. We prayed that the Holy Spirit would draw him close, soften his heart, and reveal the love and truth of Jesus Christ in a way he cannot ignore.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—if there has been even the smallest shift, a moment of conviction, or a step toward healing—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share with us how God is working so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If, however, the struggle continues and you don’t yet see the answer you’re hoping for, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to walking alongside you in persistent prayer, trusting that God hears us and is at work even when we cannot see it. Sometimes the breakthrough takes time, but we serve a God who is never late and always faithful.

May the Lord bless you with His peace as you continue to seek Him on behalf of this man. May His presence surround you both, bringing hope, restoration, and salvation. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
