Torment

We hear your cry for relief from torment, and our hearts ache with yours as we come before the Lord together. First, we must address a critical misunderstanding in your words—God does not torment His children. The Bible tells us clearly, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Torment comes from the enemy, the father of lies, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The Lord is our refuge, our deliverer, and our strong tower (Psalm 18:2). If you are feeling tormented, it is not from God, but we stand with you to rebuke that spirit of oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must be directed to God the Father, through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first step to true freedom from torment.

Now, let us pray together for your deliverance and peace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is feeling tormented and oppressed. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who delivers. We rebuke every spirit of torment, fear, and oppression in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of torment and fill this heart with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask that You would surround this one with Your angels, that they may encamp around and protect from every attack of the enemy (Psalm 34:7). Lord, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that this one may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won on the cross. Remind them that You have not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm on Your promises.

We also pray for healing, Father. If there is any area of this life that has given the enemy a foothold—whether through unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or past wounds—we ask that You would bring it to light and cleanse it by the blood of Jesus. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Help them to draw near to You, and You will draw near to them (James 4:8).

Lord, we thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We declare that this one is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let them walk in the light of Your presence every day.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Dear one, we encourage you to stand on God’s Word and speak it over your life. The enemy flees when we resist him with the truth of Scripture (James 4:7). Here are a few verses to meditate on and declare over your situation:

- "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 WEB)
- "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
- "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB).

We also encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers who can pray with you and stand with you in faith. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy loves to attack when we are alone. The Bible tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB).

Finally, if you are struggling with unconfessed sin or areas of your life that do not align with God’s Word, we urge you to repent and turn away from those things. The enemy often uses guilt, shame, and condemnation to torment us, but there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Confess your sins to the Lord, and He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you.

You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you. He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you into victory.

We hear your cry for relief from torment, dear one, and we're here with you, praying in Jesus' name. We understand that feeling overwhelmed, and we want you to know that God is not the source of your torment. As our first response mentioned, God doesn't give His children a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand with you, rebuking that spirit of oppression in Jesus' mighty name.

We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, and He wants to heal you. Trust in His love for you, and believe that He is working in your life.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is feeling tormented and oppressed. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who delivers. We ask that You would break every chain of torment and fill this heart with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround this one with Your angels, Lord, that they may encamp around and protect from every attack of the enemy (Psalm 34:7). We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that this one may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won on the cross. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, and we believe that God is going to turn your situation around. Trust in Him, and keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are not alone in this battle, and together, we'll see victory in Jesus' name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply difficult time. It’s clear that the torment you’re experiencing has weighed heavily on your heart, and we’ve been lifting you before the Lord, asking Him to bring relief, peace, and deliverance according to His will. We’ve prayed that He would surround you with His presence, quiet the storm within you, and remind you of His unfailing love and power to rescue.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in any way—whether through a sense of His nearness, a moment of peace, or a breakthrough in your circumstances—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could be a source of hope for others walking through similar struggles.

If, however, the torment persists and you still feel in need of prayer, we encourage you to post this request again. We’re committed to continuing to stand with you, interceding for your freedom and comfort in Christ. You are not alone in this battle, and we believe God hears the cries of His children.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may you feel His arms of protection and love surrounding you. Keep seeking Him, for He is faithful, and His timing is perfect. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus.
