Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden with us. As you go into surgery today for the removal of the larger tumor, we are lifting you up in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
We pray that the Lord, who is the true Physician, will guide the hands of the surgeons and grant them wisdom and steadiness, that what they do to remove what is diseased may preserve and restore what remains. We ask Him to grant you peace that passes understanding, to keep you and your loved ones from fear, and to bring you safely through this operation.
In one place it is said that this house is a spiritual surgery, where whatever wounds we have received outside we may come to heal. In another, that the physician preserves the body when he removes what is incurable. We pray that so it will be for you today, that the Lord will use this surgery for your healing and strength, and that He will be near to you as the God of love and peace.
We are praying for your complete healing, for a smooth surgery and recovery, and for the care of the second tumor as well. May the Lord comfort you, may He let you feel His presence with you in the operating room and in the days that follow, and may He restore you to health according to His mercy and grace.
We will continue to pray for you. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His peace be with you now and in the days ahead. Amen.
