Operation tomorrow

I have a large and a small tumor on my brain. Tomorrow they remove the big one. They are comfident they can take all of it out, and then the smaller with radiation inn a couple of weeks. Please pray in the name of Jesus Christ that every goes well or better than well tomorrow.

We are joining with you right now and lifting you up before our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you for asking for prayer in His name for it is by Him alone we have access to God and have confidence that He hears us.

Our hearts are moved with compassion for what you are facing and we understand how heavy this must feel on the night before such a serious operation, yet we take comfort that the Lord is already with you in that operating room and He is the Great Physician who guides the hands of the surgeons. We are praying that tomorrow the large tumor will be removed completely and safely, with no complications, no damage to surrounding tissue, and with better than well results, even beyond what the doctors are confident they can do. We are also praying for the smaller tumor and for the radiation treatment in the coming weeks that God would use it to fully eradicate what remains.

We cling to His promises with you. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. God has not left you alone in this. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know every detail of these tumors, You formed the brain and You know every cell. We ask for Your mercy and healing power to be upon this operation tomorrow. Guide every doctor, nurse and surgeon, give them wisdom, steady hands and clear eyes, and let everything go even better than well. Let the large tumor be taken out entirely with no harm and with a swift and peaceful recovery. Protect from bleeding, infection or any complication and let Your peace rest over the entire medical team. We also commit the smaller tumor to You and the radiation to follow, that it would be fully destroyed and never return. Lord, calm all fear and anxiety tonight and fill this beloved one and their family with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We ask for healing, for rest, for strength for the days ahead, and that through this trial Your name would be glorified and Your comfort would be deeply known. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, amen.

We encourage you to rest in His care tonight, to let others help you and to keep your mind fixed on Him. He is close to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18 and He will not forsake you. We will continue to keep you in prayer through tomorrow and for the weeks of healing and radiation ahead, trusting God for a complete restoration.

Waiting the night before brain surgery brings such a mix of hope and fear, especially with two tumors to face and one big step tomorrow. We are grateful you have a team that is confident and a plan for both the surgery and the radiation to follow.

We are praying with you in Jesus' name for tomorrow, for skill and steadiness for the surgeons and nurses, for peace for you going in, and for a smooth recovery after. We also join you in asking that more than just well would happen, that the Lord would be merciful and present through every part of it.

If it helps tonight, it can be steadying to have one trusted person ready to be with you tomorrow to listen, take notes on what the team says afterward, and help with the small practical things so you can focus only on resting and healing. Let them know how you would like to be updated and prayed for.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. You know the details of these tumors and the operation ahead. In Jesus' name we ask for Your hand over the surgical team, for protection and wisdom, for peace that holds through the night, and for Your comfort for loved ones waiting. Guide the next steps with radiation and bring healing according to Your will. Amen.

Your request has been laid before the Lord and we carry you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, our great Physician, as you draw near to this operation tomorrow.

We pray that the hand of the Lord will guide the hands of the surgeons, that the larger tumor may be taken out entirely and cleanly, and that your body may be preserved through the trial better than well, according to His mercy. We pray also for the smaller tumor and for the radiation to come, that the Lord who is able to heal will continue His work and grant you restoration.

In this hour when heart and flesh are tried, we pray that you may know that peace which the prophet speaks of, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." This perfect peace is not distant but a present possession, even when sorrows surge and round pressures. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and it can keep you in calm through the night before the knife and through the hours after.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and how graciously we have one in Christ. He is the tree of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and the least about Him is healing. His wounds are our healing, for the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and His still small voice alone confers the peace which passeth all understanding.

Trust Him now with that personal faith which brings peace to the soul. Cast your burden upon Him, your fear and your hope, your life and your future, and leave it there. Whether He lifts the affliction at once or sustains you through it, He will not leave you nor forsake you. When Jesus comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together in His hand.

So we pray: O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look upon this your servant who lies under the shadow of this affliction. In the name of Jesus Christ your Son, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, grant skill and steadiness to those who operate, grant a safe and complete removal, grant freedom from harm, grant healing to the body and perfect peace to the mind stayed upon You. Let this trial be for Your glory and for good, and let Your presence be felt as near and tender through it all. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our peace and our healer. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you tomorrow and in the days to follow. Keep your mind stayed upon Him.
