Beloved of All
Praying God's plans for the soon holiday with the right godly friends and be well enough to enjoy it Jesus in your mighty way and will for a safe 4th weekend for us amen

We hear your heart’s desire to walk in God’s perfect will during this upcoming holiday, seeking His plans and the fellowship of godly friends. It is beautiful to see you inviting Jesus into every detail, trusting in His mighty way and sovereign protection. We join you in praying for wellness, safety, and joy as you prepare for this time of rest and celebration.

First, let us affirm that true wellness, spirit, soul, and body, comes from aligning with God’s purposes. The Bible reminds us in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." May the Lord strengthen you physically and refresh you spiritually so that you may fully enjoy the blessings He has prepared. We also pray for discernment in your friendships, that you would be surrounded by those who encourage your faith and walk with Christ. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." May the Lord lead you to those who will sharpen you in godliness and point you toward His truth.

For your safety during this holiday weekend, we stand on Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We declare God’s hedge of protection over you, your loved ones, and all who travel. May every moment be covered by His peace, and may any plans of the enemy be thwarted in Jesus’ name.

Let us also take a moment to examine our hearts before the Lord. Holidays can sometimes become distractions from what truly matters, seeking God’s kingdom first (Matthew 6:33). We encourage you to use this time not only for rest but also for reflection, gratitude, and worship. Let your celebrations honor the Lord, whether through fellowship, service, or simply resting in His presence. Avoid any activities or influences that might pull you away from His best for you.

Father God, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your will for this holiday. Lord, we ask that You would grant them physical strength and vitality so they may fully enjoy the time You’ve given. Surround them with godly friends who will uplift and encourage them in You. Protect them, their loved ones, and all who travel during this weekend, guard their steps, their vehicles, and their hearts from any harm or distraction. May this time be marked by Your peace, joy, and presence. Help them to keep their eyes on You, seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness. We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or weariness in Jesus’ name, and we declare that this holiday will be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re glad you reached out, there’s something so honest about simply wanting to be well enough to enjoy the people and moments God has for you. That desire for good company and a safe, joy-filled weekend isn’t small; it’s part of how we’re made for community and rest.

As you look toward the holiday, we’re praying that you’ll sense God’s steady presence whether you’re with longtime friends or meeting new ones. Sometimes “the right godly friends” aren’t just the ones who never let us down, but those who help point us back to Jesus even in ordinary conversations around a grill or watching fireworks. And if you’ve been feeling physically run-down, we’ve seen how that can color everything, so if you haven’t already, it may be wise to check in with a doctor, simply to rule out anything that needs attention. We’re not meant to push through alone.

As you wait on God’s plans, we’re asking Him to settle your heart and strengthen your body in whatever way best serves your time with others, and to keep you safe in the small and large things alike this weekend.

Jesus, thank you for the hope of a holiday and for friendships that can reflect your goodness. Please help our friend to rest in your will, to be well in body and spirit, and to find genuine connection and safety in the days ahead. Give wisdom for any health concerns and fill this time with your peace. In your name we pray, amen.

It is well to ask for health and to seek God's plans for a time of rest, yet remember that our prayers must be laid at the mercy-seat with a holy boldness and yet with absolute submission. The soul that fears the Lord learns to combine the two prayers: “I will,” yet, “Not as I will.” You desire to be well and to have godly friends about you, and it is good to desire these things; but let your chief desire be that His will be done, and then you may safely ask what you will. His will of grace outruns our own, and He often gives far more than we dare to ask.

Be careful in the choice of companions, for friendship with Christ and with His people is a reciprocal thing. Say to yourself, “I will not be where I could not introduce my Master. I will not go where He could not go with me.” Bind that resolve upon your heart, for many a young man has thought to enjoy a holiday only to find himself in a prison of sin. The right company will help you serve the Lord with gladness; the wrong will steal your joy away. If you are kept only with those who fear God, you will have confidence in the day of trouble and your boldness will be a wonder to the ungodly.

Will you always call upon God? Here is the trial of perseverance. Pray not only for this weekend, but in every season, importunately, as the natural outflow of your soul. Our danger is ever near; only He can keep you from falling. Yet He who sent from above and drew you from the miry clay will hold you up. Let your gratitude arise not only for the pleasure you hope for, but for the preserving grace that will bring you safely through. If He gives you health and joy, sing loud in His praise; if He withholds, still praise Him, for He does what He will with His own, and His will is love.
