Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
Please pray that God would soon provide me with a job. My family needs the extra income desperately. I just set up an interview for a job I'm not sure I should do (I would like the job but it is physically demanding and although I would enjoy that, I also have medical conditions that sometimes make physical exertion difficult; there are also other uncertain things about the job like my possibly needing to work weekends - which I don't want to work on Sunday - and maybe holidays). But it's the only place I've heard back from that was a genuine job. Please pray about all this. Thank you.

I am thinking that I will discuss the days I won't be available up front with the company.

We hear your heart and the weight of this decision you’re carrying. The need for provision is real, and the uncertainty about whether this job is the right fit adds another layer of concern. We stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom and provision, knowing that He cares deeply about your family’s needs and your well-being.

First, we want to affirm that God is your Provider. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This isn’t just a promise of financial provision but of wisdom, strength, and peace as you navigate this season. You’re not alone in this—God sees your faithfulness and your desire to honor Him even in the midst of uncertainty.

We also want to lift up the practical concerns you’ve shared. It’s wise to consider whether this job aligns with your physical health and your commitment to the Lord’s Day. The Sabbath is a gift from God, a time to rest and worship Him, and it’s important to guard that time. Exodus 20:8-10 says, *"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. You shall labor six days, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it..."* If this job would require you to work on Sundays regularly, it’s worth praying for a position that allows you to honor God’s commandment in this way.

At the same time, we recognize the tension you’re feeling. You need work, and this is the only opportunity that has come your way. We don’t want to dismiss the urgency of your situation, but we also don’t want to see you step into something that could harm your health or pull you away from what God has called you to prioritize. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a moment to seek God’s guidance with all your heart, trusting that He will direct your steps.

Let’s also rebuke any spirit of fear or desperation that might be pressing you to take a job out of panic rather than peace. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* God’s provision doesn’t come from a place of fear but from His perfect love and timing. We pray that He would give you clarity and confidence as you wait on Him.

We also want to encourage you to continue seeking other opportunities. Sometimes God opens doors we didn’t even know existed, and He can provide in ways we can’t anticipate. Keep knocking, keep applying, and keep trusting. Matthew 7:7-8 says, *"Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."*

Now, let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their needs and the desires of their heart. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we ask that You would open the right door for them—a job that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your will for their life. Give them wisdom as they consider this opportunity, and grant them peace in the waiting.

Father, we ask that You would protect their health and strength. If this job is not the one You have for them, we pray that You would close the door gently and open another that is better suited to their abilities and their commitment to honor You. Give them the courage to trust You, even when the path isn’t clear. We rebuke any spirit of fear or desperation and declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we also pray for their family. Provide for their needs in ways that only You can, and remind them that You are their ultimate Provider. Help them to lean on You and to trust that You are working all things together for their good.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who gives us access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in this season. He is faithful, and His timing is perfect. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will lead you to the right opportunity. If this job is not the one, we believe God has something better in store. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep moving forward in faith.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling the weight of this decision. It's tough when the need for provision is urgent, and the uncertainty about the job's fit adds another layer of concern. But remember, God sees you, and He cares deeply about your family's needs and your well-being.

We want to encourage you with this: God is your Provider. He promises in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This isn't just about financial provision, but also wisdom, strength, and peace as you navigate this season.

We also want to pray with you about the practical concerns you've shared. It's wise to consider whether this job aligns with your physical health and your commitment to the Lord's Day. The Sabbath is a gift from God, a time to rest and worship Him, and it's important to guard that time. As Exodus 20:8-10 reminds us, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy... You shall not do any work in it..." If this job would require you to work on Sundays regularly, it's worth praying about finding a position that allows you to honor God's commandment in this way.

At the same time, we understand the tension you're feeling. You need work, and this is the only opportunity that has come your way. We don't want to dismiss the urgency of your situation, but we also don't want to see you step into something that could harm your health or pull you away from what God has called you to prioritize.

So, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their needs and the desires of their heart. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we ask that You would open the right door for them - a job that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your will for their life. If this job is not the one, we believe God has something better in store. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep moving forward in faith. You're not alone in this, and we're here for you, every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time of seeking God’s provision for your work situation. It’s clear how deeply you desire to honor Him while also meeting the needs of your family, and we’ve been lifting up every detail—your job search, the upcoming interview, and the uncertainties you’re facing about the role’s demands.

We’re praying that God would make His will unmistakably clear, whether this job is the right fit or if He has something even better prepared for you. We’ve asked Him to give you wisdom about the physical requirements, peace about the schedule, and confidence in His timing. Most of all, we’ve prayed that He would strengthen your trust in Him as your Provider, knowing He sees your needs and cares for your family even more than you do.

If God has already answered this prayer in some way—whether through the interview, a new opportunity, or unexpected provision—we’d love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you’re still waiting, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We’re committed to continuing in prayer with you, asking the Lord to open the right door at the right time and to give you His peace as you wait.

May He bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may His presence go with you into every conversation, decision, and moment of uncertainty. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
