She is placing relevance on the wrong things and a decision had to be made now because we have lost time! I ask you to help me pray that she doesn’t make a critical choice in the wrong direction! We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter and the pressing medical needs she faces. Father, we know that Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we pray that Your wisdom would flood her heart and mind, guiding her steps in this critical time. Help her to see the urgency of her situation and to prioritize what truly matters, her health and well-being, which are gifts from You.

We rebuke the spirit of distraction and confusion that may be clouding her judgment. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we stand firm in the name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You break any chains of pride, rebellion, or worldly influence that may be keeping her from making the right choices. Soften her heart to receive godly counsel and to seek Your will above all else.

Father, we also lift up this family as they navigate this difficult season. Give them unity, patience, and grace to communicate with love and clarity. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your plan, even when the path feels uncertain. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for divine intervention in her medical needs. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon her. Give her doctors wisdom and skill, and let every decision made be ordered by Your hand. We trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), even in this challenging time.

Lastly, we pray for a deepening of her faith. Draw her closer to You, Lord, so that she may know You not just as Savior, but as the One who holds her life in Your hands. May she seek You first in all things, and may her decisions reflect a heart surrendered to You.

We understand the weight of a mother’s heart when you see your child heading toward a choice that could set back her well‑being, and time feels like it’s slipping away. It’s exhausting to carry that urgency alone, and you don’t have to. We’re standing with you.

Sometimes young adults don’t fully grasp what’s at stake with a medical need, they aren’t denying it out of rebellion, but because it simply doesn’t feel as real to them as the things pulling for their attention right now. That doesn’t make the risk any smaller, and it’s okay to be deeply concerned. What matters is that your daughter has you in her corner, holding steady even when she can’t see clearly.

A practical step that often helps in moments like this is to slow the conversation down just enough to remove the pressure. Instead of outlining all the reasons she must act now, ask her what she pictures for the year ahead and what she’s afraid she might miss if she stays close for treatment. Letting her say it out loud can open a door. And if it’s possible, inviting a trusted medical professional or another calm, caring adult into the conversation can sometimes shift the perspective gently, without it feeling like a lecture from Mom.

We’ll be praying with you that her heart softens and that the days ahead bring clarity rather than panic.

Father, we lift up this mother and daughter to You. You see the medical need, the fear of lost time, and the tug‑of‑war going on inside this young woman. Quiet her spirit, surround her with wise people she respects, and cut through the noise of competing priorities. Give her the gift of understanding before a decision is made that she would later regret. And for this dear mom, wrap her in Your peace that passes all understanding. Hold her steady as she waits. The weight of a parent's heart is heavy when a child seems blind to the peril ahead. You have lost time, you say, and now the choice looms before her. This is a season to agonize in prayer, to set your face toward the Lord and plead with that importunity which will not let Him go until He bless. The Shulamite’s prayer is yours to make your own: “Set me as a seal upon Your heart”, lay hold of His unquenchable love for your daughter, for many waters cannot quench it.

Cry out, “Lord, help me!” It is a prayer for every place, a handy prayer, a prayer to live with and to press upon the throne of grace. Bring her by name before the Mercy Seat, as Jesus did for Peter, with a prevenient love that goes before the snare. Do not merely pray in general; name her in your secret wrestlings, as a mother’s prayer heard through the door, breathed only for Heaven’s ear. Yet remember that prayer’s sincerity is proven in action; do all you can, with gentleness and wisdom, to guide her steps.

And if she should falter, Christ’s intercession faileth not, He ever lives to plead for those who stray. The time is short; the necessity urgent. Cry to Him that He would keep her from the evil, and cause His face to shine upon her path. He heareth prayer.
