We hear the pain and distress in your words, and we stand with you in seeking God’s truth and healing in this situation. If what has been created is truly contrary to God’s design, we must first acknowledge that our Heavenly Father is holy, just, and perfect in all His ways. The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:31, "God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." However, when sin entered the world, corruption followed, and what God intended for good can be twisted into something unrecognizable.

If this "disgusting" thing refers to something that violates God’s moral law, whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, violence, or any other distortion of His creation, we must rebuke it in the name of Jesus. The Apostle Paul warns in Romans 1:24-27, "Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves; who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator... For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."

We must also examine our own hearts. Are we grieving over sin as God does, or have we become desensitized to it? Ezekiel 9:4 says, "Yahweh said to him, 'Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.'" If we are not mourning over what grieves God, we must repent and ask Him to align our hearts with His.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, recognizing that Your creation was meant for beauty, holiness, and Your glory. Lord, we confess that sin has marred what You made good, and we ask for Your forgiveness where we have participated in, ignored, or tolerated what is abominable in Your sight. We rebuke in the name of Jesus anything that defiles Your holy design, whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, hatred, or any other corruption of Your perfect will. Father, we ask You to cleanse our hearts and minds, and to give us the courage to stand for truth, even when it is unpopular. Help us to love what You love and to hate what You hate, always extending grace and pointing others to the redemption found only in Jesus Christ. We declare that Your Word is true, and Your standards are unchanging. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

If this situation involves someone you care about who is ensnared in sin, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12). Pray for their deliverance, but also be prepared to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Galatians 6:1 reminds us, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted." Restoration is the goal, but it must be done with humility and a reliance on God’s strength, not our own.

If you are the one who has participated in or been affected by this "disgusting" thing, know that there is forgiveness and healing in Christ. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Turn to Him today, lay your burdens at His feet, and allow Him to make all things new. Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Finally, remember that God’s grace is sufficient for every struggle. 2 Corinthians 12:9 tells us, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'" Lean on Him, seek His Word, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you in your walk with Christ. You are not alone, and God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We don’t know exactly what happened, but when someone we care about does something that strikes us as deeply disgusting, or creates something that feels that way, it can shake us. It makes us see them differently, and that’s painful. We may feel betrayed, confused, or just plain sick over it. You don’t have to pretend that doesn’t hurt.

One thing we’ve seen help is to give yourself a little space to name those feelings honestly before God, not to fix them instantly, but because he already knows and isn’t afraid of your disgust or anger. Bringing that to him keeps it from fermenting into something more corrosive inside you. Sometimes writing it out helps; other times a quiet walk or talking with a safe, godly friend who’ll pray with you can keep the isolation from making it worse.

We’re not going to rush you past what you’re feeling. But we want you to know you’re not facing this alone, and the Lord who saw all of it is gentle with the wounded. He can handle your questions and your hurt.

Lord Jesus, meet this person right where they are. Comfort the ache of seeing something ugly come from someone close. Give them wisdom about what to say or not say, and guard their heart from bitterness. If there’s something in the other person that needs to change, we ask you to work in that life; but for now, hold this one steady in your love. Amen.

When the heart recoils at that which man has brought forth, remember the throne-word: "I make all things new." That which you call disgusting, though it rise from the corrupt will of the creature, is not outside the eternal purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will. The fall itself was foreseen, yet the divine plan moved on unbroken. Even in the chaos of sin, the Spirit broods to bring forth order and light.

You see but the first day of a work that grieves you, but the Lord's new creation often begins in darkness. He took you from the deep waters when you had no strength to struggle; can He not also take this twisted thing and, by the gentleness of His grace, weave it into a design that magnifies His wisdom? His interpositions are surprises of mercy. The very disgust you feel is a ray of divine light showing the true vileness, that you might flee to the cleansing promise: "I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters."

Let this drive you to personal holiness, for divine indwelling demands it. He who made the heavens without tools can create a clean heart in the midst of ruin. Lay hold of the covenant: "Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; the former shall not be remembered." Trust not in the logic of threats, but in the logic of love. He who delivered your soul from death can make this, too, a platform for His glory. Rest in His sovereign skill, for His purpose is a deep, unsearchable sea, and every wave obeys Him.

You see what your own mind has made of His handiwork, and you dare to call it disgusting. The fault is not in the creation, but in the heart that beholds it with impure eyes. God made all things good, yet sin has darkened understanding, so that what He pronounced very good now appears to you as something vile. Examine yourself: is it not your own passion, your own clinging to some twisted desire, that you are projecting onto His work? This is the sickness of the soul.

But do not despair, for the physician is at hand. The worst thing is not that you have sinned in thinking such things, but that you might now harden yourself in resentment against the Creator. To sin destroys not so much as to despair. Open your mouth in confession; name that disgust for what it truly is, a disorder within you. Tell your offenses in particular, that you may learn the greatness of the benefit when forgiveness comes. For even if you feel you have committed a sin beyond all pardon, consider David: he committed both adultery and murder, yet by thorough repentance he found mercy. Peter denied his Lord with oaths, yet going out he wept bitterly, and the sin was forgiven him before the sacrifice was even offered.

God is longsuffering, not exacting immediate punishment, giving space for repentance. Did He not forgive the servant the entire debt when he merely asked for delay? How much more will He grant remission to you, if you cease accusing Him and begin accusing yourself. So come, entreat Him, and you will find that what disgusts you now is not His creation but the stain that can be washed away.

What you are feeling right now, the disgust, the weight of it, that’s the relentless voice of guilt. It doesn’t let you sleep. It replays the choices, the images, the fallout, and it whispers that you are beyond repair. You said he created something disgusting. You’re carrying the inside knowledge of your own actions, and the shame is ever before you. You can’t hide from it. You can’t reason it away or justify it into silence. Deep down, a part of you might even feel that you deserve to suffer under this weight forever, as if punishment is the only thing that could possibly balance the scales.

That subconscious desire to be punished is one of the cruelest tricks guilt plays. It’s a sorry cycle: the shame festers, you feel you must pay for it, but no amount of self-loathing can actually erase the debt. You can’t feel free until you believe the price has been paid. When we were children, discipline from a loving parent cleared the air and restored us to the family. But no human discipline can touch this kind of stain. The sacrifices of the old covenant couldn’t do it either; they were a shadow, a picture of something far greater. The only thing that truly removes a guilt complex of this magnitude is a total forgiveness that comes from outside of ourselves.

You don’t need to carry this a day longer. The freedom you’re longing for isn’t found in trying to do enough penance or waiting until you feel "worthy" to come back to God. The relief comes when you stop hiding and confess the transgression. As long as we excuse it or cover it, God can’t deal with it. But the moment we acknowledge it, raw, unvarnished, and without self-defense, He can. That’s the turning point. The prophet Isaiah recorded God’s own invitation: “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”

And here is how that cleansing is possible: When Jesus died on the cross, He was not dying for vague, abstract sins. He took your specific, disgusting trash and your junk upon Himself. God laid on Him the guilt that is haunting you right now. He bore the punishment your conscience knows you deserve, so that you don’t have to. The righteousness of God is satisfied because there has been a death for sin. Because of grace, you didn’t die for your sins; Jesus did. You can be exonerated and brought clean into God’s presence simply by trusting in that finished work.

There is a sorrow that just leads to death, it’s the world’s sorrow where you just hate yourself, hide, and never change. But there’s a godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and repentance simply means a change. It means turning from it and leaving it here. You don’t need to come to God with a promise to be perfect; you come with a broken heart, asking for the mercy David cried out for. You say, “Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let the bones you have broken rejoice.” The beauty of the gospel is that it does what no human effort or psychological technique can do: it erases the haunting feeling of guilt completely.

God's goodness has held back immediate judgment to give you this very opportunity to repent. He isn’t willing for you to perish under this weight; He wants you to live. Don’t despise that patience. Come to Jesus now. Confess it, leave it with Him, and receive His total and complete forgiveness. You don’t have to be hounded by this any longer. The guilt has been punished at the cross, and you can walk free today.
