This is the first time in my life that I've been asking for prayer for myself like this. I am ### and dealing with shame. I just learned what it means to be living with shame. It's different than guilt. Guilt causes you to feel bad for what you did. Shame is when you feel bad for who you are. I barely know who I am, but I'm often hiding, avoiding people, keeping to myself, because I'm afraid I'll act too weird or inappropriate and people won't like me. I want to break this once and for all and be free. I want to be in Christ. I know He came to set us free and for us to have life and have it more abundantly. I love God. I have a blessed life. I want to be who He meant for me to be and stop functioning in a shame state of mind. I want to be strong to stand up for Jesus and for the things I believe and not be so worried about what others may say or think. Thank you for any prayers.
